Our Forest is surrounded by Kaniksu National Forest which is managed by the United States Forest Service (USFS) as part of the Idaho Panhandle. National Forest.. The Moyie River ( say Moy-yay) has headwaters at Moyie Lake in British Columbia and feeds into the Kootenai River (say Koo-ten-e) just East of Bonners Ferry. The Moyie River is 95 miles long. The area is private, so there is no view of the neighbors. You’ll have a broken view of the Host’s Cabin. Camp is situated on 15.4 acres of Certified Family Forest. If you hear the rumble of a train at night, it's because the Union Pacific passes along the opposite edge of the property from the campsites. There is no mobile phone service at the campsite . This is a very private and quiet place, more of a sanctuary and not a party place. The only thing you hear is nature, a breeze through the pine trees, the birds, and the creek. This property was and is an organic permaculture farm in the forest. There are two orchards and an organic garden. The water is from a spring. The La Luna cabin is no longer off grid, but if the power does go out, it's a great place to be.. Hot Showers at my cabins are private and outdoors. There's nothing more wonderful than a hot spring-fed shower. The toilets are composting. (No water is wasted here)! Two of the cabins were built from the trees on the property by the first family that lived here in the earlier 1900s. The Birds Nest cabin was originally a tool shed that needed a LOT of Love to be in the condition that it is today. It does have power, running water and wi-fi. There is the option to take an acrylic painting class, banjo, guitar or fiddle lessons, paddleboard lessons, and have a real old-timey campfire with a glass of wine or two with live music performed by our famous Fiddlin Red on the fiddle, banjo, and guitar. Your experience here may change your life forever! We haven't added all the experiential options yet, so if there is something you are interested in please inquire. Every year we make it more and more magical and interesting. It's four miles up a county-maintained dirt road and one mile to a non-motorized lake. I can't see my neighbors, but they are awesome artists and musicians and some of them are off the grid! If you're bringing a pet, they must be on a leash and be quiet pets. If you are bringing a child they also need to be quiet and respectful. I want to keep my neighbors and my other guests happy with a peaceful atmosphere. Thank you!

Details: We have a lux glamping tent, containing 1 California king bed and one queen bed. There is additional space for at least 2 people to sleep on the floor. The Glamping tent is designed on a wooden deck, where you can enjoy beautiful scenery, soaking in What Glamping is all about. The glamping tent includes a stove, where you can cook food and keep warm at night. (Wood is needed). Both the basic tent site and your Glamping Getaway site have Access to a modern bathhouse with toilet and sink. (This house is mere steps away from both sites). Your site has a panoramic view of theof mountains and cda lake. There are designated areas to park in the dirt driveway. (The parking number will be given to you on booking). There is a fire pit and outdoor picnic eating space, available to all. (Wood for the stove & fire pit , as well as food trays and wine, are available at an extra charge.) We pride ourselves on cleanliness. The glamping tent is deeply cleaned, with new sheets and pillowcases, and duvet cover, after each stay. We also deeply clean the bath house, fire pit and dining/picnic areas.

Bristol is bordered by the Portneuf River to the North and Mt Moh to the South, offering river access and a host of trails. Fishing in the river is great, boasting rainbow, cut throat, brook and brown trout. There's also a few great swimming holes right below the property, including a 15 ft. waterfall. Guests may hike trails to the old mines, or be directed to a plethora of trails for biking nearby. The setting at Bristol is uniquely peaceful for the busy tourist town of Lava Hot Springs. Although still technically within city limits, the place offers an atmosphere of it's own, seemingly outside of time. Once a miners camp and stage coach stop along the Oregon Trail, we have worked hard to maintain the buildings and grounds. With an abundance of trees, (bonus if you can name all varieties) the main compound is well shaded through the hot summer months. Our single room, quaint cabins have a shared bathroom with showers and towels available. We are a minutes walk from the hot springs and downtown, so no need to fight for a parking spot!

Meadows, crop fields and forested mountains cover the ranch. 230 pairs of cows and two dozen horses call it home along with herds of Elk, Mule and Whitetail Deer, Moose, Coyotes, Redtail Hawks, Bald Eagles, Cranes and many other bird species. Our winter visit to the Far North was excellent. The cabin was a perfect place to spend time together. We loved the selection of books available to visitors during our stay. It was great to have kitchen equipment and to use it easily. The fireplace kept us nice and cozy on snowy, cold days outside. The Views are stunning, with no one around but our family. It was ‘dry’ camping because of the late season, but that did not stop us from having quality time together. I love that Paul provides firewood. He was great at communication and make us so welcome at his property.

The A-frame was cute and cozy with a beautiful view of the river. It was nice to have the port-a-potty on site. Keep in mind the cabin is not heated and Utah was quite cold in October, but there was plenty of warm bedding inside. Thomas was a helpful and communicative host. I would recommend this stay !

We had a great stay at Doug and Shannon’s cabin! Located close to Salmon, but still remote and private. We stayed plenty warm in the cabin, and enjoyed the swing by the water. Would definitely recommend and would stay again next time we are in the area!

This was a very cute and homey cabin, perfect for a weekend getaway with my boyfriend. He originally wanted to camp, so even though the cabin is rustic, it was perfect for us. I especially enjoyed sitting on the loveseat on the porch. And having a coffee maker! The hosts were so friendly and welcoming.

The yurt was really nice and had two single beds / one queen sized bed- it could definitely house an average family. It was clean and comfortable, with a nice covered outdoor patio area, and access to full bathroom / shower facilities. Would highly recommend; great value for the price!

Weekend Trip to Cozy Mountain Bungalow

The cabin was great - it was a small shed converted into a cabin that had a single (full-sized? queen?) bed with a rocking chair, an armoir, and a small closet. The bathroom was an attached outhouse with sawdust to soak up waste and neutralize any smells. They provided a camping sink with 5 gallons of water, a camping gas stove, a citranella candle, and plates, bowls, and utensils. The cabin sits towards the middle of the driveway to the hosts' house and they have the friendliest dog. My son and I had a great time. Zero light pollution, no noise pollution, just fresh north Idaho air.

Weekend Trip to Starlight Retreat Yellowstone

Absolutely loved our beautiful glampsite on the way to Yellowstone National Park! Didn’t know it came with great perks like the welcome center, friendly staff, towels for showering, a community fire pit, a map, etc! Sure it can be colder at night with the high altitude but I slept very comfortably with the fuzzy blankets provided. It was such an aesthetic way to camp and I will never go back to regular camping LOL. Very responsive and friendly host, and super helpful and chill staff! One guy even gave me his personal floss when I had an “floss emergency” lol. Absolutely loved it here! 1000000/10 would stay again and bring more friends :)

The cabin was cozy, bed was comfy, and bathroom worked well. Used the A/C because we couldn't open the two windows up front, which restricted a beautiful, cool airflow. No toaster. No utensils. All bedding was there and clean. Hosts were friendly and a good resource if local information. Price was right! We would stay there again.

I stayed here with my dog while attending a concert in Jackson, WY. Quiet, serene location. Beautiful scenery. The cabin was cute and stocked with towels, basic toiletries, and a few disposable kitchen utensils. The cabin was cozy with comfortable beds. I utilized the TV, refrigerator and coffee machine with no issues. We enjoyed spending time relaxing on the porch. We would definitely stay again!
