We have owned this property since 2005. The pond is a favorite place of ours and we would love to share it with you!! We live just up the mountain are here for you via text if you need anything at all during your stay with us. The pond is in the middle of about a 4 acre area that is totally forested & makes a great place to get away from the madness of life & get into nature. Our street ends in a cul-de-sac, minimizing traffic in the area, but the spot is right along a street. You will be able to see & hear cars going by the site. On the other hand, it is also right along a deer path & just this morning I saw 2 does & a baby walking through the site. There is a resident hawk & a gaggle of turkeys that live in the area in addition to pileated woodpeckers & all sorts of other birds. Come check it out and please let us know if you have any questions. Learn more about this land: We would love to have you at the Pond at Dogwood Acres. Our pond is just a little pond, but it is full of life and makes for a cozy little campsite. You will be the only ones camping here. There is a long parking spot suitable for cars/SUVs/trucks and even a trailer or pop up.  There are hiking trails leading into the woods at the right side of the end of the drive. Feel free to enjoy them. We are surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest and here in Towns County we are 80% National Forest. Lake Chatuge is close by (less than 10 minutes) in Hiawassee has 132 miles of shoreline. The Appalachian Trail weaves all through the area and you can get to numerous access points for the AT within about 30 minutes. There are a many waterfalls throughout our area within about a 30 minute drive as well. The closest is Cupid Falls just behind Young Harris College. Fire's Creek in Hayesville is a favorite spot. Otherwise you can head towards Vogel State Park and find many more.  Head north on state road 66 heading out of Young Harris towards Warne, North Carolina. Travel almost 4 miles passing 339 and then make a right on Brasstown Lane. If you see mile marker 4 or get to Warne, you passed it. Once you turn onto Brasstown Lane it will be on the right side. Coming from North Carolina head south on 66 out of Warne and make a left onto Brasstown Lane. We are about 1 mile south of the North Carolina state line. We are somewhat in the middle of Blairsville (GA), Hiawassee (GA) and Hayeville (NC).  Not far from us is the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC and just a bit further is Murphy, NC.  34'58'45.1"N 83'52'49.7"W On a larger scale, we are right in the middle of and about 2 hours from Atlanta, Asheville and Chattanooga. Any questions? Let us know!  Note- this campsite is on a residential street. Our street has a cul-de-sac and does not have much traffic, but there are houses in the vicinity of the campsite.

Matches and paper provided, too, to help get the fire started. The play area offers opportunities limited only by your imagination. Sunbathing? Stargazing? Answer: The kind who doesn't mind paying $100 per nail. I hate to come across like this, but those doing this type of damage are ruining it for everyone else.... Be warned. If there is dangerous weather, flood watch, tornado, etc. I will be happy to refund the time we were under this watch.... PLEASE READ ALL THIS BEFORE BOOKING.....This is a recreation area, NOT A CAMPGROUND. You have access to 44 acres in the mountains of North Georgia, on Tallulah River. Trout fishing, camping in beautiful Rabun County. Lot's of outdoor activities in the area. Forest Service land, and more nearby. This is not a campground, but a private Recreation Area on 43.7 acres on Tallulah River, which we love to share. Yes, there is a house here an there along the border. People choose to camp in the easy to access area, instead of hiking out to more seclude places on the property. So if you have a problem with the house being there across from the "sweet spot" please just choose a different place to spot. I find it so funny people want to come to secluded and be able to DRIVE TO IT, with no other people around. It is mostly secluded, but people do live around here, and a few houses border this property. People have actually given us bad reviews because of this. Hike in and camp away if it bothers you that someone lives across the river. And yes, there are chickens, foxes, coyotes, bears. Yes there is a road. Yes, they cut the trees down along the road to build the new bridge. Yes I have planted trees, and it will be more private as these grow. All this being said, please read on... This is rural neighborhood in Persimmon Community, Georgia. There are neighbors. Act accordingly, the few who do not! We are a few miles from NC line, and about 20 or so from SC line, in the most Northeast corner of Georgia. We are blessed with mountains, water, and a great community. 43.7 acres access, 1,000 feet of Tallulah River frontage (actually, property line is down the middle of the river), there is a nice road to the place, and a field and Tallulah River...... You can drive into the field, have fun in the river, and camp, build a fire, do whatever you like in our space. If you don't like being close to the very nice neighbors across from the car accesable spot, the camp further up the field, or pack by foot up the mountain. We are NOT a campground. We have no fixed sites. The fire pits were made by campers, not by me (the owner.) People have actually complained to me that there are neighbors across the river. CAMP AWAY FROM THERE IF IT BOTHERS YOU. And yes, they have chickens, that will wake you at dawn... Yes, there is a road. Yes there is a field. No, there are no fixed campsites. We are not a campground. We leave you alone. We will try to answer questions, but I do not sit by the phone. This is just us sharing access to the land. We want to preserve this like this, for as long as we can. I genuinely want to share this place. But that being said, I would rather not interface with campers. I live in the middle of nowhere for a reason. I assume you want to visit the middle of nowhere to be left alone. This is what I will do. I do my best to keep this going, and open to being shared. That's my job. But I am not going to find you stuff to do, watch the calendar, or whatever. Just look up THINGS TO DO IN RABUN COUNTY. DON'T TRESPASS ON NEIGHBORS' LAND If people come on the land while you are here, THEY are trespassing. I try to keep it private, but there is the occasional interloper who wanders on. Just tell them you have it lease, it is private. I am sorry for this. People are, well.... PEOPLE.... There is 44 acres here. Over 1,000 feet of river frontage. There is great fishing here. Please respect the property lines. We love our neighbors, and they love us. We want to keep it this way. Be aware that the property if BELOW the bridge, all the way back to the old cabin. That next branch is the property line. I will try and provide a plat, or map so you will be aware of the lines. There is also plenty of public property in Rabun County. Rabun County is 65% US Forest Service land. If 44 private acres isn't enough, then check out some of the wonderful public places around here. Look in photos for plat of the property. You agree to not trespass. Also, property line is down the middle of the river. Please don't trespass across the river. And while we are at it, please do not do doughnuts in the hay field. Every young kid from Athens seems to want to tear up the hay field. Please don't! We expect it to be left mostly like it was. But please be aware that when rain comes, the river can rise quickly. We try to be aware, but you need to stay aware. This is on a flood plain, so it does flood sometimes, and fast. BE AWARE and Stay safe. Our mission is to preserve this beautiful mountain land the way it is, and to share it with people who will enjoy, appreciate, and take care of it. FACILITIES We don't have regular facilities. But we do offer nice new camp toilet for $22. You are expected to either bring your own camp toilet, and bag your waste out, or you can buy a toilet bucket and some plastic bags, and cat litter. This is a brand new unopened toilet lid and a brand new 5 gallon bucket. Bring some cat litter, and some bags to line the bucket, and some Ziploc bags to put this in and seal. The cost of a bucket potty is $22 NO MORE KITTY TRENCHES. You are expected to remove your waste and put it in your trash each time you use it. This is for consideration of others. IF YOU LEAVE TRASH YOU WILL BE CHARGED $50 FOR CLEANUP. IF YOU LEAVE HUMAN WASTE, YOU WILL BE CHARGED $500 FOR CLEANUP.......... I am only saying this because as we get more experience, we learn what people are actually capable of. Most people are very good about everything. But there have been a few people who actually expected me to clean up their waste, and then they gave me a bad review, etc. I am a decent guy. I will share my million dollar property with you for $40 a night. I will leave you alone. But please.... PLEASE... don't expect me to clean up after you. And when I do have to clean up after you, please don't curse me, divert, give excuses. If you camp here you are expected to be decent, and treat me decently. This is only for that 1%... Thanks. Enjoyed the time there and fishing in the creek was great. Will say the picnic tables are not there and grass was a bit tall but for being booked the night before it was not too bad.. the showers do have good hot water and running sink.. however there were quite a few hornets/ wasps nest that made showering a bit nerving wracking, could’ve been a tad bit cleaner however for booking the night before not a big deal.. I had noticed that there was only one fire ring which was not what we had expected we did have a good time and really enjoyed it once we got settled in but I’d recommend bringing a folding table and plenty of bug spray

4 nights at White Dog Farm camping

We were very impressed with accommodations! The site was shady enough to relax through the day and sunny enough to charge our solar batteries. We enjoyed visiting with the horses and long walks through the countryside. There was an access to the well nearby for fresh water. The hostess was very pleasant and accommodating- we made a new friend! We definitely will be back!

The picnic table is super lightweight and can be moved based on how you camp. It is on the flattest spot so if you sleep in a tent you can move the table to the other side of the fire pit and pitch your tent where the table is.

Amazing spot! Cute pond and easy TJ get to. Just is friendly and responsive. Found a great winery about five minutes from there for wine and a picnic.

Weekend Trip to Creekside Bliss

Tim is a very responsive host. He answered my many questions very quickly. The campsites are beautifully located between a pasture with chickens on one side and a creek surrounded by small grove of trees on the other. The sites are nestled back in these trees. You can hear the babbling Creek Cascade over rocks. Very peaceful, very calm, and beautiful. I enjoyed my stay, and you will too.

Weekend Trip to Winding Stair Campground

The kids and our Dog had a blast. Everything is thought through, ample of charging plug points very clean facilities and bath house with hot water. I would definitely recommend this beautiful property. The Pavillion next to the river is a nice gathering spot with shared facilities and store as well with amenities. Stacy was a great host. The cabin was absolutely great! It was the perfect cozy retreat into the woods to disconnect and relax. The jacuzzi was a huge highlight and very enjoyable. Everything went smoothly, and Joni and Moni were great hosts—very attentive and fast to respond. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Primitive River Farm

Beautiful spot! Great fishing, huge level field, and a nice fire ring. Only drawback is a nearby rooster that becomes very active around 5AM.

This primitive, riverside site is budget friendly and sits right next to our community areas. This site includes 2 Adirondack chairs, picnic table, and a smokless Breeo firepit with grilling outpost. Firewood bundles are available for purchase at the camp store.
Fly fishing (catch and release only) is allowed on the river within the campground borders.

We had such a relaxing stay at this campground. The creek running alongside the campsites was definitely the highlight — peaceful to listen to during the day and at night, and a perfect spot to sit and unwind. The campground had plenty of amenities that made the trip comfortable, including clean bathhouses, well-maintained sites, and convenient extras that made tent camping much easier.

Amazing place! This is so much more than just a RV slip! The care and detail put into everything from the houses you can rent to the personal touches from our host was far beyond what the pictures can tell you! It’s a must stay when in the area and we will be back for sure! THEY HAVE THE MIDNIGHT BUS FROM HARRY POTTER THAT YOU CAN STAY IN!!! HOW CAN YOU SAY NO TO THAT?

This was a lovely setting for a camping spot. The peaceful view of the lake and countryside was so relaxing. William was very kind and made us feel welcome. We were lucky at the time that we seemed to be the only campers and had the area to ourselves. Loved our stay!
