·

Fishing draws campers to Swainsboro for a reason: you’ll find over 130 campsites here where the lines are always in the water and the catch stories get bigger after dark. Expect average nightly rates around $30, with some spots going for as low as $15. Cbo & Dana's Farm (85 reviews) is a favorite for casting off near peaceful ponds, while Canoochee River Rentals (29 reviews) gives you river access and the kind of quiet you can’t get in town. For something with more open space, Magnolia Hill (15 reviews) lets you fish, swim, and hike without bumping elbows. Most sites offer basics like toilets and showers, and pets are welcome at many. You’ll spot horseback riders and plenty of folks cooling off in the water, but it’s the fishing that keeps regulars coming back.

Michael and Kimberly Duke bought a small cabin on the Canoochee River to enjoy as a family. They decided to list it on a vacation rental site. As this property was in full demand, another property became available to buy. As interest began to increase, the family decided open up the options for their visitors. At this current date, they have four cabins and a yurt, as well as, tent sites. We are excited about the yurt that was completed in August 2019. They are looking forward having another cabin in the near future. Learn more about this land: Spend a few days in a yurt on the bank of the Canoochee River! Locate a few miles from a small town. Grocery store, gas station, and dollar store! Wake up to the music of the birds and sit on the deck as you enjoy the fresh air! Take in nature like it was meant to be.

Sweet Blossom Alpaca Farm - Relax

6. Sweet Blossom Alpaca Farm - Relax

30mi from Swainsboro · 2 sites · Tents, RVs · Millen, GA
We knew our property was a special place when we found it during our search when we decided to move our alpaca farm from FL to GA. We have raised alpaca for last 17 years. They are a fiber producing animal (similar to sheep) as well as just a beautiful animal, have great personalities and it is amazing to watch the herd dynamics. We have 2 very spoiled donkeys (sister and brother-gelded) - have had them for about 18 years. We are committed to provide the best care possible for our animals and love to educate people about alpacas (and donkeys). There is a large covered deck overlooking the alpaca pastures - come hang out with them. We have a farm store onsite with various items for sale made out of the alpaca fiber (socks, scarves, sweaters, hats, plushies, etc). As part of your stay, we provide a short alpaca farm tour! There is a 2 acre pond on our property which is adjacent to the campsite area separated by a fence. The campsite area is located away from our main house and the alpaca barn. There is a picnic table available. We have a bathroom facility onsite (and in the future a shower) - a short walk from the campsite area. Visit our FB Farm page - Sweet Blossom Alpacas. 2 full size campsites - gated. We do have a site outside of the gate for anyone needing to park overnight/getting in too late to set up.
