It is a Pine Tree farm with fish ponds, walking trail and is friendly to a lot of different kinds of activities. It's located across the street from the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park, home of several 4 day music event during the year. A pet friendly, off leash, dark skies 6 acre slice of paradise in North Florida on the banks of the Suwannee River. In 1990 the State of Florida banned logging within 1,000 feet of the Suwannee River so Southeast Timberlands sold off it's holdings and we were lucky enough to purchase 6 acres and 444 feet of riverfront. A designated "Pristine Scenic Waterway" with very steep banks, the Suwannee is one of the few"wild" rivers left in the United States and can rise over 30 feet to flood stage almost overnight; yet due to its unique topography we can access it no matter how high or low the water. The Forest Service has bought up the surrounding lots, creating a 10 mile Conservation corridor supporting the National Scenic Florida Trail, it's clearly marked footpaths and natural attractions. To that end, we have left the old growth upland forest the way we found it. The campsite is a natural feature as is the Zen deck and canoe launch, a swale draining the ridge. The campsite is level, the lane to the river slopes gently dropping in elevation 20 feet over 1,000 in making it easy for able bodied guests to navigate their way to the white sugar sand beach. We want to share our retreat with those who are looking for a real wilderness experience in an exclusive private setting. A Waiver of Liability is required by all guests as the Wilderness is an inherently dangerous place. We only offer one accommodation per weekend with a maximum of 8 people, because we only have 1 toilet, so our guests can have the seclusion they desire and be free to enjoy the natural wonder of the woodland experience in any manner they choose.

3 nights at Suwannee River Glamping

Great place to take the family for an adventure. Easy access to the Florida Trail. Highly recommend checking out Disappearing Creek, which about a 15 min hike from camp. The propery is large and very private. The campsite is approximatley 1000 ft from the river. You can drive down to the river, although the bank fairly steep. A golf cart or four wheeler would make it easier to get to the beach, where you can launch paddle craft, fish, and swim. There is a large pole barn to shelter in during bad weather. It has a table with chairs, a small kitchen sink and table. Power is available at near the fire ring and in the screened room with a hammock. I recommend bringing an extension cord. Shout out to Jerry for providing firewood for a nominal fee. The bathroom and shower are a big plus. The river is a 5 min walk from the campsite, the beach is around 7 min. Janet was a great host and was in touch daily, making sure that we got the most out our experience. The listing does accurately describe the campsite.

Janet was so easy to work with! This spot has everything you need and Janet and Jerry made everything all ready with firewood and all! The river is a nice short walk and we really enjoyed fishing and playing in the water. We absolutely loved this spot, we felt so secluded and safe. Our young boys and dogs had so much fun running around. The horseshoes were so fun and the sleeping porch was amazing to have the extra sleeping space. Hope we can have the chance to stay longer and explore more of the beautiful Suwannee River next time!

Weekend Trip to EL Q Farms

We had the best time at El Q! So spacious for us and our four German Shepherds. Maurice and his wife were so welcoming and offered tips on shopping and restaurants. We wanted to get out of the city where it's peaceful, our dogs could run and we could just chill... El Q was PERFECT! Well maintained site and bonus restroom with shower for tent campers. Site accommodated our large rig (42' 5th wheel with back patio) with ample space! Site faces east so sunrise was awesome, sunset behind us so sitting outside was in the shade looking over the open field. Lots of trails to hike/wander with the dogs. Picnic table and fire pit also on site. Overall a gem and we will definitely be back!

Quiet and clean, easy to find, easy to access and set up. Host was nice and respected our privacy. Answered any questions we had promptly and quickly. Spot was perfect for our needs, great location almost half way between my wife’s family and mine. Will definitely be reserving again in the future. Couldn’t be happier with our stay.

Excellent place to spend the night when visiting your kid at FSU. All other options in Tallahassee are ridiculously expensive. I have a campervan, which made it easy to park, plug into electricity (although I did not need it), and get fresh water (I used to make coffee). The host is welcoming and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again.

Her helpful advice on placement of our tent, lending her electric cord when we needed and just being a good hostess and accommodating to any request we had, opened our minds to new foods, simply put we loved it so much! she talked us out of even going to Golden Corral🤪 Totally Worth it and will definitely be coming back! Grateful to of had bug spray but as long as you’ve got the right kind you shouldn’t have too much of a problem with the bugs. Enjoyed the engagement throughout and had fun taking a cool dip in her pool, felt even better with it being no chemicals. We had a blast even with our time was mostly spent literally inside our tent 🏕️. Just close enough to town to give you your own mini adventure to grab a bite to eat. Love what is becoming of her Sanctuary and we’re already excited for her future transformation of this lovely and safe place. The cemetery was even kind enough to just be a loop hole for a bucket list, a quiet next door neighbor not to haunt or bother us at all so bonus for that also 🥳

This property is beautifully maintained and the perfect place for a dog that loves to run. It is dark and quiet, the amenities are all we could ask for. Maurice responds well to inquiries too and directions to the site are easy to follow. It is a lovely country setting.

I extended my stay a few times because it's such a great, beautiful, and secluded site. No issues with electricity ( I'm 50 amp), strong water and good sewage outlet. Beautiful sunrise and plenty of room for your dogs. Maurice was a friendly and responsive host who checked in to make sure everything was good. Site is about 15 minutes south of the I-10 with great cell reception. I recommend this site and I will probably return.

Beautiful and secluded site. Electricity, water and sewage worked great. Amazing view of the sunrise if you are up early enough. And my dogs enjoyed the freedom or running around. Maurice was a great host, checking in to see if I needed anything and making sure my stay was comfortable. About 15 mins south of the I-10 and a short drive to Madison or Lee to pick up supplies.

Second time camping here and it was even better than last time!! The new addition of shower and bathroom makes it the complete package. We loved the open space and privacy. Maurice was always quick to respond and gave us all the info needed for our stay. I always highly recommended his site!
