Our 501(c)(3) Non-Profit campsite has soft opening under way! This means we don't have many frills, but we are by far the closest RV site to central Atlanta, and the only one on MARTA public transit (right outside the gate).
We are a rare gem in this city. One of the last areas that have been allowed to return to nature after being farmed until the 1960s.
We are surrounded by 100s of acres of parkland, and yet are only 5 minutes drive from almost everything you will need.
You will see the hand cut terraces put in by the farm workers and then the forest has spent the last 50 years taking it back.
Still lots of old growth trees around though. The county just purchased/swapped 50 more acres to go with the hundreds more under it's watch. There is a 14 mile concrete trail that runs behind the property and all the way out along the south river. Quite the hike or bike if you fancy a good walk.
There is a 18 hole golf course, sports fields, public pool and YMCA type community center all along the trail and walking distance from the campsite.
We are a 501c3 non-profit church that is still in the early days of it's mission. Your donation to our site helps fund our mission and keeps the lights on.
We are massively focussed on permaculture as the only sustainable way of life and rapidly moving towards being totally carbon neutral.
You will be up close on our early days and see our Solar Roof Cabin (a total of 300 panels and 70kW output when completed). We make a lot of our infrastructure from windfallen and site development trees that are cut and shaped on our own electric sawmill.
Much of the rest of the renovations are done using upcycled and donated materials.
We are working towards:

Our stay was amazing, my family and I enjoyed the nestled in space and it was very spacious! Plenty of amenities and things to do right on the grounds. having a communal space that wasn't directly outdoors was a plus. Amy and Rob (her husband) made sure our stay was comfortable, we were even able to visit beforehand to put our minds to ease. Overall great trip! Only downside was it was a little noiser at night but it was nothing we couldn't adapt to. We will be returning

This was our 2nd stay at the farm and just as great as the first. Our 37’ fifth wheel fits and levels out on the gravel RV pad wonderfully. 50 amp power is a plus. We had a couple of busy days and it was so nice to go back to the farm to unwind and enjoy the scenery. I can’t wait til the next time we have the opportunity to visit again.

We liked it so much the first time, we decided to go back. It was as awesome as we remembered. Anna is very kind; the location is secluded but near to hiking and other attractions. There's a lovely stream the kids can play in (no more than 18 inches deep at its deepest spot). There were so many stars at night--such a relief to get away from the city. There's a port-a-potty nearby, a water pump... and a lovely space. Exactly what we remembered.

I loved my time spent at Brooks Lake. Bill and Laura are just the best people. Communication was great when I arrived on where to camp, where to park, where the facilities were, etc.
The views are pristine. Beautiful trees, a gorgeous lake, you can fish, there are pavilions and picnic tables all around, and some friendly geese walking around as well! I would absolutely come back here again and look forward to it, already!
