Our 501(c)(3) Non-Profit campsite has soft opening under way! This means we don't have many frills, but we are by far the closest RV site to central Atlanta, and the only one on MARTA public transit (right outside the gate).
We are a rare gem in this city. One of the last areas that have been allowed to return to nature after being farmed until the 1960s.
We are surrounded by 100s of acres of parkland, and yet are only 5 minutes drive from almost everything you will need.
You will see the hand cut terraces put in by the farm workers and then the forest has spent the last 50 years taking it back.
Still lots of old growth trees around though. The county just purchased/swapped 50 more acres to go with the hundreds more under it's watch. There is a 14 mile concrete trail that runs behind the property and all the way out along the south river. Quite the hike or bike if you fancy a good walk.
There is a 18 hole golf course, sports fields, public pool and YMCA type community center all along the trail and walking distance from the campsite.
We are a 501c3 non-profit church that is still in the early days of it's mission. Your donation to our site helps fund our mission and keeps the lights on.
We are massively focussed on permaculture as the only sustainable way of life and rapidly moving towards being totally carbon neutral.
You will be up close on our early days and see our Solar Roof Cabin (a total of 300 panels and 70kW output when completed). We make a lot of our infrastructure from windfallen and site development trees that are cut and shaped on our own electric sawmill.
Much of the rest of the renovations are done using upcycled and donated materials.
We are working towards:

Total structural material independence
Food independence via aquaponic farming
Providing solar powered refrigerated space to local food distros
Providing local kids (and adults) access to training on permaculture and living with minimal impact on the planet.

This is a nice place to camp, near the interstate, so it's easy to get pretty much anywhere. It's a quiet fenced-in area with two superwide automatic gates. Using the MyQ app made it easy to go in/out. The side was wide and with 50 amp, water, and sewer.

Loved the location, we could ride our bikes all the way to the Atlanta Beltline bike trail. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The door to the street was very convenient, also. I loved the chickens and rooster visiting us, especially running to our RV when cooking and the smoke detector went off. Too funny.

Just like i love it. Lots of trees & shade. The host Darren was great. We actually chatted for a bit upon my arrival. My only draw back is i have a 5th wheel thats 13 feet 4 inches tall. Coming down the road to the entrance has very low hanging branches. I just had the rv flex armor roof put on. If i would still had the original thin membrane roof still on i would have had rips & tears in the roof. When i got on roof a nice size branch got caught under my solar panel and broke off. No damage though. If you have a travel trailer you will be fine, its not 5th wheel friendly with the branches. Overall i am pleased what Darren has done the the property.

Had a great little visit at this RV park, pulling in was easy going and the electric hook ups were as described! Another bonus is that the park did offer us the ability to use their new outdoor shower which had great water pressure and very hot and cold water! It was also very cool to see their creative and handmade approach to everything they have built and are planning on building! Especially hearing their plans of putting a swimming pool on the roof of the big building.

I stayed here for the Atlanta BladeShow at the Cobb Galleria. I loved the stay, the camp ground was really nice, and Darren was super friendly/ helpful.
The drive to the Cobb Galeria was only about 30 minutes.
I can't recommend this spot highly enough.
Also, the location of power, water, and the septic hookup was very convenient!

This is truly an oasis. The area near the entrance has many spaces for RV/Campers. Up the hill is for tents, but I drove my Campervan up the hill and had a great spot for my van and awning. There's electric hookups all over. There's light posts, as well, for each area.
The common area is what makes this place stand out! A bathroom house with washer, dryer, microwave, and coffee machine. A fire pit, grill, small playground, community garden, etc. I plan to return soon for an entire week, or longer.

Such a beautiful spot! We’ll definitely stay here again if we’re ever passing through. It was so peaceful—like a warm little woodsy, whimsical oasis. Felt like we were tucked away in a charming tiny community. Loved every minute of it! 🌼🏕️✨
For camper info - we got a 16ft travel trailer that backed up without a problem. Just make sure to have your tools to level it out.
