**Warning** there are a few weeks mid Summer when the deer flies are swarming and the trails are not good for riding horses!
WE DO NOT HAVE 30amp electrical hook ups but many large RV's turn off hot water heaters and use propane on their fridges and the 20 amp circuit was plenty to power the rest of their RV or use generators!

There are many quaint shops in town, a 10 minute drive, or in nearby Madison GA. This is a great country getaway to reconnect with nature and peace. We have a charcoal grill, and a fire pit. Feel free to gather wood from anywhere on the property for the fire pit. Bring charcoal lighter to get the fire going unless you are a primitive survivalist.
WE ALSO HAVE A PLAYGROUND FOR SMALL CHILDREN!
We do NOT have a public shower but the Love's and the QT station are both 3 miles away and they have several super nice showers available at their truck stop!
The barn lounge has a fridge and microwave, ceiling fan for relaxing and watching the lessons and horse training! Sign up for a few lessons for a fee while you are here! (when an instructor has an opening, must book in advance) Bring your own horses and ride the trails!
**Warning** there are a few weeks mid Summer when the deer flies are swarming and the trails are not good for riding horses!
WE DO NOT HAVE 30amp electrical hook ups but many large RV's turn off hot water heaters and use propane on their fridges and the 20 amp circuit was plenty to power the rest of their RV or use generators!

We live on site on 17 acres that is surrounded by large tracts of undeveloped land with the Oconee National Forest within 1/4 mile and the Ocmulgee river within 1 mile. The name Seven Islands comes from the rich history of this area and the nearby trading site between Native Americans and settlers in the 1800s on the seven islands of the Ocmulgee River. You may hear the friendly nicker or see our 3 horses coming to check you out, but their pasture area does not intrude on the camping area. Hike or ride your horses on the nearby trails. The Fried Green Tomatoes cafe and Sac-O-Suds (famous from the movie "My Cousin Vinny") [Edit: Sac-O-Suds store is currently closed. But still a scenic drive-by] are an easy drive as well as Covington GA where you can see The Vampire Diary clock tower (or take a tour of other filming locations). There are many quaint shops in town, a 10 minute drive, or in nearby Madison GA. This is a great country getaway to reconnect with nature and peace. We are just far enough away not to be intrusive, but near enough if you need assistance.

Our host was very responsive before arrival and after arrival and we had all amenities. We did not meet her but a "friend" came by to make himself known after arriving bc our host was absent at the time. Plenty of surveillance throughout the property, and although I was there a short time overnight it was a nice property this time of yr.

This is a great secluded spot for over night or a weekend trip. Me and my two brother in laws wanted a quick getaway. It was easy to get to. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. I had plenty of room for my sprinter and a jeep with two tents and space for cooking around the fire. I would highly recommend checking this spot out.

A great spot! The sunrise is incredible to see coming through the trees! Only 25 minutes from Jackson, a cute town where parts of “stranger things” have been filmed. Super open, easily fit our 16 foot yurt, would be more than enough room for another.

We had a wonderful time tent camping here! It was very private and peaceful! Largest camping site we’ve ever had! The swing pictured in the listing was broken when we arrived which was a disappointment for our kiddos but we will definitely be back for more camping trips and maybe it’ll be fixed then! The creek was a wonderful spot to have coffee with the large rocks for sitting!

I had a wonderful stay on JoLane and Sam's place. JoLane offered prompt replies and all information needed for arrival. Sam (a veteran) met me and guided me to Site 4. We had a nice chat about local going-ons... all the more making me feel at home. The site was just right for my Colorado and 16ft camper. That being said, this site would be perfect for single or multiple tent camping! I enjoyed the peaceful feeling of being in remote, deep woods... without really being far away from conveniences or access to major roads. Do yourself a favor a spend a night or two here!

The site was big, pleasantly tucked away, and I could hear the stream from my hammock. Loved smelling the pine needles as I got out of my car. I did hear some distant coyotes and highway noise, but the white noise of the water blocked most of it. Felt very safe and unbothered despite knowing some other properties were nearby. Will definitely be back!

This was such a fun place to stay! The weather wasn't the best the week I was there, rainy and cold. But nevertheless the experience of staying at a working stable was fun.
Every morning the horses get fed, then let out of their stables into the fields. And every evening they get brought back in.
I stayed around the back of the main stable next to the juvenile pen. They have 2 youngsters who I ended up making friends with.
If you can't tell I'm not a horse person. But being able to stay at Sun Valley, I'm learning to love them! Definitely worth the stay.
Note: you're staying amongst the stables, so expect flies and smells. Enjoy the atmosphere! It's all part of the experience!

Scott was incredibly nice guy. Love what he is building at the Golden Goose. Living the dream! Showers and toilets are built ans is the party shed and they may not yet show on his page. This was just a “passing through” trip for us and he is a little off the beaten path but worth the few minutes to get there. Maybe 20 minutes from the Buc-ees at Warner Robbins so you’ve got everything….and a beautiful drive to get there!!
