Great location. Love the bathroom and shower room. Nice little town, walking distance from the site. The trains are common at night and pretty loud.

This is the 2nd year we have stayed here. We love the sites and the cabins. The river is amazing. Brandy was the host and was amazing as well. Highly recommend and will stay here again. Thank you

Place in the Pines
Wonderful location, a short walk from juliette and the Whistle Stop Cafe. Lovely wooded area and a trail in the back of the retreat. The cabins are lovely overlooking the creek.

Over all this place was great. The bathrooms were clean the shower was good and clean as well and everyone who was at the campsite was great, and the water felt so nice. The only problem was we didn’t know how close to the train tracks we were. My brother has hearing issues where he has to wear hearing aids the train was so close and so loud he took them off for the whole night because the train is so loud and annoying no one got a good nights sleep because of the trains and they NEVER stop especially at night. Also if you have dogs it’s something to keep in mind because my girl absolutely hated it. But other than the train which obviously they have no control of it was a great stay.

We were told that we would receive a code to the bathroom and shower once we arrived. We text and called the caretaker who voicemail was not set up and did not answer the phone. We were told by the owner Katelin P that if we had problems to call the caretaker. We also began to text message Katelin P through her message app that provided direction and attempt to call and 24 hours later we have not had a response from her either. I do believe it was a racial issue because she had no problem taking my money but didn't want us to use the facilities. Bty this property is in Forsyth County, GA.

Electric needs to be updated. Very scary. Main road needs to be repaired. Price is right. No much to so in the area.

Perfect place for river and train lovers. Juliette is a cute place and the dam park is beautiful and only a couple minutes walk away. The river is beautiful and the old mill is cool to see too. Bathhouse/bathroom is clean and cozy. Great for an overnight on the way up or down I-75.

My husband and I enjoyed our time here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The retreat is beautiful, the bathrooms and showers were clean. Enjoyed sitting by the lake and listening to the sound of the train. Great getaway from the city life.

Cool site. I wish I was staying longer. Just got a tent site for the night. The site said there were no cabins available but looked like only 2 or 3 were being used out of like 15. Lots of trains, which I got used to and is kinda the point.

Our group enjoyed tent camping! It's located in between two shower/toilet facilities. Keep in mind the river is viewable from tent sites, but it is directly in front of the cabins (widely spaced for maximum viewing).. The bathrooms were clean. The kids enjoyed splashing in the water by cabin one, and the baby goats at the mill. The adults liked walking into the town for lunch and buying gifts at the little shops from The Whistle Stop Cafe. We'd tent camp at the site again closer to fall, but I think we'll rent a few cabins on the river next time. Yes, the loud trains do come by at night. We were prepared with noise canceling headphones after reading past posts. I highly suggest packing earplugs, noise canceling headphones, or noise dampening device to help. We all had a wonderful time. It's a really short drive getting out of the perimeter.

Nice facilty. Clean showers/restrooms. Train was about 100 feet away, came through 5-6 times through the night. Weather was way too cold. Had to get hotel room for two of our three night stay.

the old mill, cabins along the flowing river the railroad, spooky said my 9 year old but really cozy as well. When we went, there was some bad weather coming in and we were the only field site campers. We were approached by management who let us know. They left the bunkhouse open for us and weather got too bad, which was very kind. Overall, really cool spot.

It was nice to get away and go camping here. Wasn't sure if we were in the right spot but I guess we were. Trains do come through and yes are loud but that didn't bother us. Restrooms were clean. And neighboring campers were polite and quiet. Trail has been messed up by fallen trees but we still managed to hike a little. Went to the small town Julliete across the way for lunch and antique shopping. Pictures make it look like the river is right there and level but it was a ways down the embankment.

Katelin is Great.
A Woman to give everything super cooperative everything that can help you is with you at all times a Beautiful Service she a Woman of 10 points .
The place was super nice, the children had a great time, the place I was able to grab was beautiful.
Very Quiet, the River makes a super nice Noise to relax and spend Super .
I recommend it for people who like nature and disconnecting from so much stress is a Special Place.

This was our third visit here and as always everything was well maintained and clean. Katelin checked in us when we arrived and made sure we were able to get our site set up. We’re looking forward to another visit soon.

We absolutely love staying here. The site was nice and clean and close to the river. Brandi the site host was amazing and answered all of our questions. The train for most people may be a little loud but we live close to a track anyway so it was not as bad as the reviews I had read.
We will most definitely stay again.

The campground was great. The hostess very nice, the showers and toilets very clean, the price and location excellent. The only problem is that it is impossible to sleep. The trains, very long, go by, about 100 yds away, at least twice an hour all night long. The screeching noise of metal, for about eight minutes per train (I timed it and recorded it) is downright scary. At 1 am we packed our tent, went to a restio on I-75 and slept a couple of hours after continuing our journey. I don’t think that ear plugs and white noise would help. We tried it 😩

Beautiful place. Enjoyed just relaxing and walking to the nearby shops. Also enjoyed eating a wonderful meal at the Whistle Stop Cafe next door.

We have a 45’ RV. We pulled in and out with no problem at all. All the hook ups where there. Nice shaded spot. Loved hearing the trains go by, no it was not loud enough to wake you.
