Great location to rest while traveling via I-20 (10 min off I-20), 1HR from ATL and 1.5 hrs from Birminigham. 6 acres of pasture for riding bike, dry camping, pick blackberries, or come say hi to the Goats. Villa Rica - 10 min for shopping, food and brewery. 

Unassigned sites, so no fire rings and camp where you please in the designated area. Fires are permitted to burn at your site, just follow local fire bans and typical safety measures.  Fire wood available for purchase, or down sticks & branches free to gather to burn.

Footehills Farmhouse is a small family owned and operated farm in Northwest, GA, in the little town of
 Taylorsville. We are stewards of 18 beautiful acres, and nestled between hills covered in hardwoods and Old Taylorsville Church Cemetery. We are very close to Atlanta, GA, Red Top Mountain State Park, The Booth Museum, Tellus Science Museum and the City of Cartersville, GA. Enjoy our local winery and brewery as well.

GA mountains and apple country are a short 1.5 hour drive from our location. Our farm is a small local market style farm, hosting many TN Fainting Goats (enjoy all the kids in the spring), Sheep and spring lambs, around 40 or so chickens and piggies depending on the season.
We also grow figs, herbs garlic and veggies. 

Please note this is an RV site only no tent camping and no latrine tents allowed. We also have a one dog policy. Thank you for looking at our property.

Escape to our secluded RV parking campground, just 15 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from downtown Atlanta. Located on 10 acres of forested land, our campground offers a serene escape in the heart of the city, earning its nickname "the country in the city."

With gated and secured entry, you can enjoy peace of mind during your stay. Spread out and relax in our spacious campground, where you may even catch a glimpse of our resident deer roaming the property.

Unwind by a warm campfire under the stars, or explore the natural beauty of our two water streams. Whether you're seeking relaxation or adventure, our secluded campground provides the perfect retreat for your Atlanta getaway.

Risin' RV

Our 501(c)(3) Non-Profit campsite has soft opening under way! This means we don't have many frills, but we are by far the closest RV site to central Atlanta, and the only one on MARTA public transit (right outside the gate). 

We are a rare gem in this city. One of the last areas that have been allowed to return to nature after being farmed until the 1960s. 
We are surrounded by 100s of acres of parkland, and yet are only 5 minutes drive from almost everything you will need.
You will see the hand cut terraces put in by the farm workers and then the forest has spent the last 50 years taking it back. 

Still lots of old growth trees around though. The county just purchased/swapped 50 more acres to go with the hundreds more under it's watch. There is a 14 mile concrete trail that runs behind the property and all the way out along the south river. Quite the hike or bike if you fancy a good walk. 

There is a 18 hole golf course, sports fields, public pool and YMCA type community center all along the trail and walking distance from the campsite. 

We are a 501c3 non-profit church that is still in the early days of it's mission. Your donation to our site helps fund our mission and keeps the lights on. 
We are massively focussed on permaculture as the only sustainable way of life and rapidly moving towards being totally carbon neutral. 

You will be up close on our early days and see our Solar Roof Cabin (a total of 300 panels and 70kW output when completed). We make a lot of our infrastructure from windfallen and site development trees that are cut and shaped on our own electric sawmill. 
Much of the rest of the renovations are done using upcycled and donated materials. 
 
We are working towards:

Food independence via aquaponic farming
Providing solar powered refrigerated space to local food distros
Providing local kids (and adults) access to training on permaculture and living with minimal impact on the planet. 
Teaching people so they can teach others and pay it forward.

A Place to Sleep

A place near Hartsfield Jackson International Airport in the middle of Atlanta Georgia to park cars, vans, small RVs, or small travel trailers to sleep for the night.  Fresh water hookup and 15 amp service are available if needed. Pets are welcome. Parking is in the grass back yard and mostly level.

Coldwater Camp & Cabins

Coldwater Camp and Cabins in Anniston, AL is located directly on the Coldwater Mountain Bike trail system. Open in 2023, “The Camp” is a unique family-owned campground with several lodging options, including:

• 2 cabins/chalets

• 7 RV/van 30 amp hook ups

• 2 RV/van 50 amp hook ups

• 4 elevated tent deck sites

Two more cabins are under construction and expected to be ready by 2026. 

Campers that stay here can park, set up camp, and hop on Hare Trail via direct trail access just a few feet from your site. With 60 miles of single track for runners, hikers, and cyclists ranging from beginner to advanced, we think you’ll love it here.

Quail Run at Pate's Creek

Enjoy ultimate seclusion on our 5+ acres bordering a large creek!  Only a couple miles from I75 and less than 30 minutes from downtown Atlanta. 

A dirt driveway off a quiet back road takes you to a secluded 120'x80' field (with large gravel parking area) perfect for tents, hammocks, and RVs. 

Continue down the wooded path to the back of the property where it opens up to a 200+ year old oak tree, large creek, and "hike in" camp site. 

A camping toilet, sink, are solar shower are available.

Weaving Woods Farm

The property features a 1 1/2 acre pond stocked with catfish and bream and has a nice little dock with a table and chairs to sit and enjoy the water.  

There are animals!  I have a beloved Scottish Highland cow named Genia and she is joined with two mini bulls and two mini cows.  Various numbers of Nigerian Dwarf goats join them in the pasture.  There are also a few chickens.

Small garden beds and a fruit orchard are on the property and I usually have at least a half dozen projects of one sort or another going on.  

Several acres are wooded and there is ample space for a nature trail that I try to keep maintained.  Several of the usual types wildlife can be seen.  

Are you an artist or a writer?  This is a great place for comtemplation and inspiration.  I myself have 40 years experience as an art teacher and professor.  If you would like to have a mini workshop, let me help.

Water is available not far from the campsites.  There is also a portable pop up potty/shower tent (with bucket and seat) available.

Welcome to our 12-acre ranch, located near state parks that offer a wide variety of outdoor activities. We're only 45 minutes away from Six Flags, and just an hour away from popular Atlanta attractions such as the zoo, airport, and aquarium. There are boat launches nearby for the Etowah River and Lake Allatoona, and we have a small kayak available for rent.

You're welcome to set up camp anywhere in the front pasture, with water and electricity easily accessible. We also have a 220 RV hookup by the barn. Whether you prefer privacy or interaction, we're here to accommodate your needs and ensure that you have an enjoyable stay. We have staff on-site to assist with any needs that may arise.

Our sites are available year-round, perfect for true outdoor enthusiasts. Come and experience the beauty of nature on our ranch.

Burton's Beautiful Hollow

This creek property was probably used by the Creek and then the Cherokee as a campsite because of the abundant water and wild life. Later is was farm land and in the 1920's had approximately fifty mules working the land. The Old barn and blacksmith shop are still here. In 1977 the government planned to put a four lane toll road through here but was stopped by the oil embargo which caused the right of way to be auctioned. We were able to buy 200 acres for a small amount of money and have been raising cattle and camping on it every since that time. As a Scout Master I have been using this site for camping for the past 15 years. Time to let others enjoy.

Pitch your tent or hammock in a grove of hardwood trees in a nice meadow on the banks of Lake Creek with old timey swimming hole. It is about 8 feet deep in center going to about 4' at sides and 20 feet long. Big stone grill is provided as well as large fire pit. Kindling and firewood is provided. ten minute walk to the main house for potable water and other needs. &nbsp;37 acre farm with hills and a wide variety of wildlife and plants to inspect.  Camp is in rural area couple hundred yards off county road but secluded. Plenty of deer, turkey, geese, wild ducks, beaver and other wild life in the area.
A secondary campsite is provided down the creek with area for tent near creek. Fire pit and firewood is provided.
