The city of Columbus is about 25 minutes away and offers white water rafting, zip lining, axe throwing, a river-walk, and other activities. There are plenty of lakes and rivers to go fishing. Auburn is about 40 mins away.
The site offers an outhouse, fire pit, fire pit grill rack for cooking, platform (which can be used for small/medium tents, or to hold a table and chairs) and a hiking trail that is about 1/3 of a mile.
Small cars are able to access campsite and park at site pretty easily.
The property also has natural wildlife like coyotes, snakes, spiders, ants, etc.. Alabama can also get very hot during June, July, August. Please prepare accordingly.
Meeting at the front of the property is not needed, just drive to your hipcamp and set up 🙂 Please message me about any concerns!
About us:
My wife and I bought this property in 2020 with the goal of turning this land into a homestead. We plan on building a home eventually and have cleared out our homesite. My mom and stepfather live at the front of the property and can help you if needed. My stepfather is retired and my mother works as a nurse assistant in town. We are a working aquaponics farm, located in Marion Co Georgia. From maps it shows that we are about 13 miles straight line distance from Columbus Georgia. That would be true if you could drive through Fort Moore. You cannot so we are actually about 35 mins or 23 miles from Columbus. The drive is pleasant with very little traffic.
Our campsite sits beyond the gate in front of our small farm/general store. There are rustic bathrooms with hot water, free WiFi and plenty to do! We encourage you to hike, bike, and explore. ** We are in rattlesnake and copperhead season. (SEP - OCT) Please be mindful hiking on warms days and evenings towards dusk. **
The store is not open at this time, and the Greenhouse is available by request.
Deer, coyotes, wild hogs, and other creatures roam freely. Any pets must stay fully leashed at all times (see below).
Our day starts early in the summer as we harvest for market. We make every effort to be very quiet, but the field crops are close to your camp site. We will never run a tractor until after 11am. You may hear the greenhouse fans kick on starting around 9am when the system starts warming up.
Pets - Are welcome if contained on a leash at all times.
Bathrooms - are located next to the store and a short walk from your tent site.
Site - Is on level ground for tents campers RV vans and more. There is a fire pit, picnic table and water spigot. The water is not well water and comes from the county main water line. There is a main highway leading up to our gate so you do not have to off road to get to the property.

20 acres, mostly wooded, for your private camping escape in a quiet, rural setting. The level site is beside a charming, old stone house on about 2 cleared acres. Full RV hookups: city water, 30 amp & 50 amp electric, and sewer are beside the vacant stone house. Trash pickup is provided.
Nice "yard" area for the RV. The RV space is very close to level. Many great spaces for tent camping and hiking. Bring your camp chairs to sit around the small firepit (just a circle of rocks, really). The property is very dark at night so if you arrive after dark, you will want to have a good flashlight.
Pets are allowed. Please pick up after your dog(s).
Near FD Roosevelt State Park (15 min drive) and Callaway Gardens (20 minute drive).
There is an additional set of full RV hookups available but it will not be occupied unless both sites are rented as a bundle. Two RVs can park and hookup, one behind the other, in the long driveway.

Quite, beautiful, the dogs loved to run in the forest, was very nice setting to be at, has a table and a place to put your trash. Firewood to make a fire in the fire pit. It was just awesome, even has a trail to walk.

Exactly what we needed for a brief oasis on our way to holiday chaos! The tent site was level and pretty. The toilet facility was clean and uncomplicated. Fire pit was a good size and had rocking chairs around it. Great star viewing!
Some highway noise in the distance. There’s running water, but it doesn’t seem potable; this appears to be a temporary issue.
A great spot to spend the night!

William’s site was absolute perfect for our road trip with our dog. Extremely private and secluded but easy to follow directions for access. We arrived after dark and had no problem finding it.
The site had the cleanest outhouse I’ve ever used and he definitely went above and beyond with the firewood (kindling pieces included) and s’more’s package (WAY larger than expected) I added on to our reservation.
The stargazing at this site cannot be beat!!
William was also extremely responsive to messaging. If we are ever in the area again, I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook. Well worth the price.

My husband and I stayed Thanksgiving weekend. Very friendly & responsive hosts. Ample space at our site. We had a problem with our slide upon arrival; James took a look but was unable to help but did give suggestions of someone who could.
Bath houses were clean!!!
Site had its own grill, table, fire pit.
Farm animals were very friendly.
My only negative was the hot water pressure was not good so I couldn’t take advantage of the showers
But everything else was super nice!!

We loved our stay! This is such a great campsite. We had the best neighbors and even better views! Our dogs enjoyed roaming the property and there was everything we needed and more. The host, Sam, was super accommodating and even drove out to us to guide us to camp when we got there later on our arrival! This location is perfectly center between Opelika and Columbus, so we enjoyed visiting both.

Fantastic little campground with extremely helpful hosts. Here’s what I liked about it.
There was lighting, but not too much.
Sites were roomy with a small fire pit, picnic tables, and a charcoal grill.
The individual bathrooms were clean, warm and convenient. A hot shower was great to get after a long day on the road.
It was quiet with a few outdoor country sounds, like owls, a dog in the distance and a rooster at sunup.
I’d recommend this place to anyone.

I stayed here for a few weeks and would HIGHLY recommend it! It was very peaceful, quiet, and beautiful. The only downside is the shower (it’s outside, and the hot water runs out quick). Samuel is a fantastic host and was very quick to respond if I ever needed anything.

This place is very peaceful and quiet. There is not much light, so the stars are stunning. There is an outdoor shower and bathroom with hot water. The road to get there is all grass but smooth if you go slow. We only stayed for one night. They do allow pets off leash which is nice!

It was absolutely perfect, from start to finish. Well, the finish sucked because we had to leave. We pitched our tent next to the pond, had a shaded seating area next to our fire pit. Bathroom and shower were a short walk. Fishing was peaceful and the jon boat was super fun to go out on and fish. Super quiet. Plenty of firewood, FREE. Early check in and late check out was lovely. We didnt feel rushed at all. If you forget anything (like leaving your day 1 dinner in your refrigerator at home), there is a small grocery store as well as a dollar general within 5 minutes. All around an awesome camp site! I want to go back, SOON! thank you for sharing your piece of tranquility with us!

My 2nd time here and I’m so thankful I chose the same spot. I didn’t get to explore the trails the 1st time, so it was a nice treat this time. Charity is a wonderful host and I couldn’t ask for better! We love the isolation and seclusion of the site. It is right off the highway and is a little busy during the day with traffic but it tapers off late afternoon/evening and maybe a few cars between then and the next morning. There is a tree line, so it isn’t wide open to the road. Passer bys can only see the porch lights at night through the trees. We felt completely safe, even the first time I stayed with just my girls and left the hubs at home. We really enjoyed the cute little eggies and their little carton Charity left for us. Bathrooms were good and nice hot water. All in all, we were glad a weekend away from the kids and a visit with my brother was enjoyed at Blackbird Farm.
