We are a working farm, located about 35 mins or 23 miles from Columbus. The drive is pleasant with very little traffic.
Our campsite sits beyond the gate in front of our small farm store. There are rustic bathrooms with hot water, free WiFi and plenty to do! We encourage you to hike, bike, and explore.
** We are in rattlesnake and copperhead season. Please be mindful hiking on warms days and evenings towards dusk. **
The store is not open at this time, and the Greenhouse is available by request.
Deer, coyotes, wild hogs, and other creatures roam freely. Any pets must stay fully leashed at all times (see below).
Our day starts early in the summer as we harvest for market. We make every effort to be very quiet, but the field crops are close to your camp site. We will never run a tractor until after 11am. You may hear the greenhouse fans kick on starting around 9am when the system starts warming up.
Pets - Are welcome if contained on a leash at all times.
Bathrooms - are located next to the store and a short walk from your tent site.
Site - Is on level ground for tents campers RV vans and more. There is a fire pit, picnic table and water spigot. The water is not well water and comes from the county main water line. There is a main highway leading up to our gate so you do not have to off road to get to the property.

The city of Columbus is about 25 minutes away and offers white water rafting, zip lining, axe throwing, a river-walk, and other activities. There are plenty of lakes and rivers to go fishing. Auburn is about 40 mins away.
The site offers an outhouse, fire pit, fire pit grill rack for cooking, platform (which can be used for small/medium tents, or to hold a table and chairs) and a hiking trail that is about 1/3 of a mile.
Small cars are able to access campsite and park at site pretty easily.
The property also has natural wildlife like coyotes, snakes, spiders, ants, etc.. Alabama can also get very hot during June, July, August. Please prepare accordingly.

My wife and I bought this property in 2020 with the goal of turning this land into a homestead. We plan on building a home eventually and have cleared out our homesite. My husband and I stayed Thanksgiving weekend. Very friendly & responsive hosts. Ample space at our site. We had a problem with our slide upon arrival; James took a look but was unable to help but did give suggestions of someone who could.
Bath houses were clean!!!
Site had its own grill, table, fire pit.
Farm animals were very friendly.
My only negative was the hot water pressure was not good so I couldn’t take advantage of the showers
But everything else was super nice!!

A hidden gem only minutes away from FDR! As much as I love GA State Parks in general and FDR in particular - I won't camp in FDR as long as this wonderful place is available. Exactly as described: you have the entire campsite for yourself. Peaceful and quiet! At the same time, you don't feel lost in the wild: there are other houses (nearest is maybe 2-3 hundred yards away, you can't see it, but you know it is there) and you can still drive to Warm Springs for your morning coffee. FHU worked perfectly, the site is flat and easy to back in. You may want to bring a flashlight because it is dark at night. Also bring outdoor table and chairs is you wanna sit by the campfire.

This was a fantastic place to camp. Jame’s and his son were extremely accommodating and even helped us with anRV power issue we were having. They came back later that day just to check on us. The restrooms and facilities were very clean and a pump out station was near by. There are plenty of farm animals you can visit and lots of trails if you like to hike. Our spot was level and well kept. We will be back again. Thank you, James!!

My wife and I are die-hard Hipcampers, roaming the countryside in our solar-powered, off-grid Airstream trailer—fondly known as “Buff”, because she’s sleek, shiny, and enjoys basking in the sun as much as we do. And no, we're not your typical travelers… unless your typical traveler prefers their Vitamin D “au naturel”. 😎
On our latest adventure, we rolled into a gem of a Hipcamp site in Woodland, Georgia. Think “private paradise meets southern charm”. The host was incredibly responsive—like, “answer-your-message-before-you’ve-even-sent-it” kind of responsive.
A few miles down the road lies The Little White House, where FDR came for polio treatments and, tragically, took his final breath. There’s an unfinished portrait there—started on the day he died—which now hangs in hauntingly poetic tribute. Art history meets presidential legacy… all a short distance of your camp chair.
We also detoured to Columbus, just a scenic half-hour drive away. Pro tip: take the River Walk, rent some bikes, and refuel at one of the town’s top-notch vegan restaurants. Because nothing pairs with historical exploration quite like plant-based deliciousness and a gentle breeze.

This is becoming a very nice campground. It’s still a work in progress but the facilities are all first class. We stayed in a pull thru with electric and water. Nice views if the adjacent animal farm. A new bathhouse on the premises with four individual complete bathroom shower combo. They have a laundry area and the host will also sell you firewood. It’s a nice place but it’s out of the way. The road to the campground is red dirt so either you’re going to have a cloud of dust or mud when it has rained. The tent area has a great tree canopy but the rv spots are in a tree less area so it’s nice if you have air conditioning in your rig. Would probably go there again if in the vicinity

We enjoyed our two day stop here. The solitude was refreshing. Everyone was super friendly (not overly so). Loki the camp mascot does an amazing job of greeting guests including the 4 legged furry variety. My schnauzer is a bark first kind of pup. It only took a few moments and they were the best of friends. The facilities and sites are clean and well organized. This is a relatively new campground and I look forward to seeing how it grows. This was a great spot for us and our dogs during our visit to family in the Columbus area! Close enough to family in Columbus and Upatoi, but far enough away for an escape at the end of the day! The dogs had TONS of space to roam and was super secluded and peaceful. The views of the stars was incredible! Super close to Calaway Gardens as well and can’t wait to come back and stay for longer and enjoy more of Pine Mountain. We will be making this our home away from home whenever we come to visit family!
