35mi from Acworth · 1 site · Tent, RVMore than 18 private acres along a secluded stretch of the Tallapoosa River are reserved for one registered group at a time. Choose a campsite within the marked guest area, enjoy the forest and river setting, watch wildlife, and fish from the bank where lawful.
This is primitive, self-contained camping. No toilet or potable water is provided. Guests must bring a self-contained camp toilet and all water and supplies. An SUV or small truck with adequate ground clearance is strongly recommended; passenger cars are not recommended.
The river is natural and unmonitored. Water level, current, mud, debris, weather, and water quality can change quickly, especially after rain. There is no designated swimming area, lifeguard, water-quality testing, shuttle, guide, equipment rental, route monitoring, or rescue service. Guests must evaluate conditions, directly supervise children, and use properly fitted life jackets whenever appropriate.
Campfires are allowed only when current restrictions and conditions permit and must be fully extinguished. Respect marked boundaries, neighboring property, and the historic bridge closure. We welcome guests who value privacy, stewardship, and the beauty of GOD's creation.
