Along with plenty of beautiful trees for shade, the site includes its own private sitting area with a fire pit and hammocks, a picnic table, and a storage shed with beach supplies for guest use. There is plenty of room to pull in and park an RV of just about any size. Conveniently located 1.3 miles from a shopping plaza with a Publix, Bealls Outlet, and several restaurants. It’s about 2 minutes from the bridge to the beach and roughly an hour from Orlando attractions. This is a new site/listing, so I will be adding more details as needed. If you have any questions, please ask! Disclaimer: There are train tracks and an airport nearby. While we've grown to love the sound of the train and watching planes fly overhead (including the occasional military jet), we understand it may not be for everyone. Weekend Trip to Surfer Beach And Tree Sanctuary

Had an amazing and relaxing weekend. The campsite itself was very private, and the proximity to the “private-ish” beach was the best part. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. It was the perfect private getaway. The only downside was that the mini fridge at our site wasn’t working, so we had to rely on our cooler. Aside from that small issue, it was a 10/10 experience. We’ll definitely be back for the peace and quiet.

I was actually Patrick’s first guest! Old Mill Landing is a beautiful, peaceful spot surrounded by nature. I stayed here to bass fish on Lake Okeechobee and it was the perfect base for the trip. The property is well-kept and has a great old Florida feel. Definitely recommend it!

10 nights at Nettles Island Coastal Resort

First time to Nettles Island! Our campsite was in the portion closer to the main road and beach. Really nice spot! Private too. Even though the paved level spot is between two units, there is greenery on the side, so you feel like you have privacy. The spot was very quiet. Short walk to the beach and front pool, which is right by the beach. The other pool is also walkable. That one has two hot tubs. There is a small store and restaurant on Nettles. Store makes sandwiches and sells hot coffee, as well as anything else you might need. Shuckers is in walking distance if you want to go to a restaurant/bar for night life. We really enjoyed our stay.

Amazing view! Lots to do. Loved the pool and strolling / biking the neighborhood. Beautiful houses and properties, friendly people, felt safe and a great place for kids. We didn’t use the pickle ball, tennis, or shuffle board courts but there were a few people on them. Very impressed with the whole place. We will definitely be back!

Where to go

John D. MacArthur Beach State Park

A short drive south from Vero Beach, John D. MacArthur Beach is one of the most popular waterfronts in the area. Best known as the nesting ground for hundreds of leatherback and green sea turtles each summer, this beach is also a destination for hiking and cycling on the nearby nature trails and viewing subtropical flora and fauna. Facing the mainland, the waters are calm and ideal for kayaking, fishing, swimming, snorkeling, and even scuba diving. The park houses a few campsites, many offering views of Lake Worth Lagoon.

J.W. Corbett Wildlife Management Area

Spanning 60,000 acres of cypress swamps, pine flatwoods, and tropical hardwood hammocks, J.W. Corbett WMA is a subtropical treasure trove for hiking, hunting, fishing, and camping. This region is teeming with wildlife, including white-tailed deer, turkeys, and feral hogs (which attract hunters), as well as bobcats, racoons, otters, and a few rare and endangered species of birds. The park sits near Lake Okeechobee, where Hipcampers can find lakeside glamping accommodations.

Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park

To the west of Vero Beach is Kissimmee Prairie, a state park covering 54,000 acres of expansive prairies and dry grasslands. An essential part of the Everglades headwaters, this striking biome formed from a long-running cycle of flooding and wildfires.
