I love camping here. It's always quiet, clean well-kept property. The porta potties are always clean in the outdoor shower is nice but the water could be a little bit hotter. I have no complaints. I will be camping here in the future.

Tent camping here was beautiful. The trees are beautiful pines which the owner took the care to save when the property was being built. The trees are very thankful for this energy and in kind or protecting the land. As a woman sleeping alone, I felt completely safe in my tent and this beautiful yard looking at the water. The hosts are so kind hearted. This is really a good place For spending time with nature while still in a city’s drive

I did a lot of research for the surrounding area and picked this one for its privacy, price, proximity to the city. We were extremely happy with our decision. The privacy was our favorite part but the water, electric plug-ins, and tree cover made it comfortable.

Gia’s hipcamp was amazing! The tent spot was in the back of the property closer to the lake. It was level, quiet and having access to a potty and a shower were A+ additions. Gia was also very accommodating at taking me in late when I buggered up on my previous hipcamp booking. If I lived closer, I would definitely visit more often. I also have 2 more new friends (oh and little Rinpoche) !! Thanks Gia and Elleen for your exceptional hospitality.

Very nice and comfortable spot. Easy access to both the beach and river. Access to 3 pools was great especially the beach one. This is the first trip without any mosquito bites which is a WIN for me personally. No bugs, no noise. Just a relaxing weekend well spent. Dogs had a great time relaxing too. Anthony was a great host. We will definitely be back soon.

No sewage facilities for both sites, must have black water holding tanks. Located on an acre with Grissom Pkwy in the back. Very near the restaurant "Jabbers". Great views of rocket launches, just a few miles from Publix, other shops and other restaurants. About a mile to the Indian River, about five miles to the Banana River (and Kelly Park for windsurfing or launching boats) about 12 miles to Port Canaveral and the beach at Jetty Park or better yet (my fav) Cherie Down Park. CDP is great for surfing, beach fishing, viewing rocket launches or just beach walking. While there please visit Port Canaveral's host of bars and restaurants. Also, about 25 miles to the Space Center. PLEASE! Best way onto property is go west on Canaveral Groves Blvd 1/2 mi. to Alan Sheppard, left and left again at 1st. street (Atlanta St.). Back the 1/2 mi. to Knoxville Ave where the trailer/camper entrance lines up directly with Atlanta St. GPS does NOT know if you are pulling a camper/trailer...LOL!

She loves gardening, and has a complete apothecary of herbs, salves and tinctures for your daily needs. Both she and her boyfriend are Native Floridians, and are more than happy to share local knowledge of their home town of Wabasso Beach. Marshall (your other host & Sophia’s other half) is an avid waterman. He is a Sailboat Captain, happy to take you cruising on the open sea or fishing for local catch, as well as a Master Carpenter with experience in plumbing, electric and mechanical handy work. He specializes in renovating small spaces such as sailboats and RVs with his attention to detail and meticulous woodwork, so you can leave not only rejuvenated, but renovated! Welcome to Valhalla Prairie Farms, a 10-acre oasis located on the prairie in Okeechobee, FL. This is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. It is full of the most beautiful views of the stars and provides peace and quiet, You will be left alone to write that book, let your children run free, meditate, or just relax. Bring your dogs, they will have a blast! This is not a place for glampers, people afraid of nature, or people that cannot deal with bugs or extreme temperatures!!! During certain times of the year and certain times of the day, there are a million bugs! We stay inside during these times. We are 25 minutes from Okeechobee City, the bass fishing capital of the world, 45 minutes to Fort Pierce, & 35 miles from Sebring International Raceway. The Kissimmee Prairie State Park is very close by. The prairie is the darkest part of Florida. Astronomers, bring your telescopes and cameras to capture the night. You will possibly see cows, bobcats, wild turkeys, wild pigs, armadillos, birds, or the neighbors dogs might show up. Don’t worry, they are quite friendly. We have a 50 amp RV Hookup with NO septic and plenty of space for primitive camping. Bring your horse, but there is no paddock or barn. The storage building on the premises is not part of the rental, please leave it alone. There is electricity and non-potable water. The water is safe for teeth brushing, washing dishes, and showering, but it does have a very strong smell of sulfur. There is an outhouse. Please use it sparingly & only flush toilet paper provided. There is an outside sink, an outside shower with no privacy, a picnic table and a fire pit. If you come with your RV, please use your RV toilet. There will be a major fine for any septic dumping. 1/3 of the land is cleared and 2/3 is full of mature oak trees and trails. It is fenced with barbed wire fencing. Please keep your food trash in your cars & take it with you. You do not want to attract predators. You can recycle, or throw away any trash that is not related to food in the garbage can. Keep an eye on your small dogs. There are also snakes and predatory birds. It is hard with words to describe the beauty of this property, so please check out the pictures. Happy Camping!

Farm Retreat

Our property is 10 1/2 acres of mainly grasslands. At the farm we have goats pigs, donkeys, and cattle. The camp spot will be near the pigs and goats, so expect some noise in the morning and during feeding time otherwise it's pretty quiet. At night time you could do a fire pit, we'll provide the metal fire pit. About 25 minutes east of our property we have downtown Fort Pierce with nice restaurants and the causeway where you can take a dip in the ocean and there's beaches up the road from there.

Whether you’re seeking a quiet night under the stars or a thrilling outdoor experience, Okee Oasis has it all. At night, enjoy stargazing as the clear skies offer great views of constellations and shooting stars. If you’re in the mood for something more adventurous, Okee Oasis is close to areas for mudding, mudding events, fishing, kayaking. Hunters will also find this location ideal, with nearby areas perfect for hunting trips and outdoor exploration. Our flat, open terrain makes it easy for all campers to set up, whether you’re arriving in an RV, van, or pitching a tent. A Few Important Notes: 1. Irrigation Ditch: There’s an irrigation ditch running through the middle of the campsite, so please be cautious when driving in. Be sure to stay to the right side to avoid any trouble. 2. Mosquito Tips: The mosquitoes can be pretty intense, so I recommend bringing a Thermacell or two and any other mosquito repellent you prefer. When I camped, I kept a Thermacell inside my tent, which worked great to keep them out. Outside, even with two tiki torches, a fire, and a Thermacell, they were still landing on me. A heavy-duty Thermacell might be your best bet. Long sleeves and pants also helped a lot! 3. Site Updates: There’s been some growth at the site since I first listed it on Hipcamp. The back area is still clear, but the middle front section needs mowing. Keep this in mind when setting up your campsite. Also bring firewood. Sometimes there is firewood at the gas stations off the turnpike but it is expensive. Also, there is a subway right off the turnpike if you’re in a crunch for a quick meal

About the property Our property is home to a variety of birds and animals like hawks, eagles, owls, kites, turkeys, raccoons, bobcats, and snakes. While staying with us you can opt to take a guided food forest tour, as well as take the opportunity to help with or observe current projects going on at the farm. You can also enjoy swimming on-site. Offsite you can head nearby to enjoy swimming, walking, fishing, boating, live music, restaurants. We are only 10 minutes from Fellsmere and 20 minutes from Sebastian. There are plenty of parks and fishing spots nearby as well as the beach so there is always something to do within a 10-45 minute drive. Your hosts live onsite and we will plan to greet campers and give a brief tour, as this is a growing food forest there may be areas that are sensitive to foot traffic. Our favorite things about this property are the amazing skies both at dawn and dusk, as well as night stargazing. We have great birdwatching as well. Please reach out at any time with questions or concerns. About the listing Our listing is for a campsite that accommodates tents or an RV or camper van up to 45ft. If you do bring a camper keep in mind our sites are pull in only with no hookups (dry camping) and they will require some leveling. Generators are also not allowed. Amenities listed below: -There is a shared fire pit available -There is potable water via a spigot -Good cell service for most carriers, no wifi -Shared composting toilet onsite -Pets are allowed -Wheelchair access is possible Additional details to note Please check in at least 2 hours before sunset so that you can can find the toilet and know where the sensitive growing areas are.
