Loved Johns site. The little A frame cabin was amazing. Everything there was well taken care and it was so peaceful amd relaxing. Had an amazing time I will go back.

Very nice. Caught fish every day. Hosts were excellent. Very private and quiet. Plenty of space, shade & picturesque creek.

The A frame cabin at J&P Creekside is the perfect retreat! It is decorated with cozy furnishings that exude country warmth and hospitality! The king size bed is super comfortable and the cabin has a/c and a mini fridge and ice maker. There is a cute bathroom next to the cabin with a toilet and sink and ample room, also decorated with country charm. An outdoor shower is only a minute walk away and it is the perfect camping shower! If you are looking for a comfortable retreat in the woods, check this Aframe retreat out! This place is truly a little slice of sweet paradise!

Weekend Trip to Costa Myakka

I absolutely loved this place and highly recommend. The location was secluded with lots of privacy. Lots of trees. Definately made you feel you were in the woods. The whole layout of the property was beautiful especially at night with lighted areas where you will find a shower and a real bathroom. The campsite had everything you'd need including hammock and power. Firewood is available. Located right by a beatiful creek with very reasonable kayak rentals. The host was so accomondating and goes way above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful stay. This place is a hidden gem. You will not be disappointed.

1 night at Costa Myakka

The property is expansive and we enjoyed walking around it with our dog. Splashed around and wasted in the water for over an hour. Dog zoomies in the water?? Priceless! We loved our tent-camping site but on our walk we saw several other nice sites and a picnic area. Next time we may rent kayaks! We were pleasantly surprised there was a port-o-john on the property, which was very clean. The only drawbacks were slight. When we stopped at the homestead to meet the host, a barking dog announced our arrival. No front door clearly visible, so it was several minutes of the dog barking non-stop and me calling out for anyone who may hear before someone came out. I may recommend training the son how to host if he is going to regularly be the greeter. We will bring a shovel next time in case there are cow patties on the campsite, as they are not removed in preparation for guests. Otherwise, we enjoyed the solitude and quiet. Unassuming place and we were left to our own devices. We will save the spot for future visits!

We continue to have a wonderful experience every time we camp at Costa Myakka!! It’s so beautiful and tranquil.. We requested firewood and Cary brought us a big bunch of great logs to burn. I highly recommend staying there!!

My daughter and I had a blast. J & P have such a nice camp. Great park area for kids. We fished, played at the park, stayed in the cabin, and made a fire for s'mores. It was great. Bathroom are way nice and clean too, not your typical gross camping bathroom. We will be back!

2 nights at Costa Myakka

We love the solitude, starry nights, kayaking with no other soul in sight, watching otters play and listening to Barred Owls. Peace and nature.

John's place is an absolute slice of heaven! We wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and this was the perfect place. The site was private and clean and peaceful. We traveled with our three poodles that loved being able to be off leash. John's dogs Roxie and Sam were sweethearts and happily greeted our crew and played with them. My husband and I plan on traveling to stay here at least yearly going forward. John and Patti were very friendly and communicative. The cottage was like something out of a fairy tale. There was a mini fridge and microwave and water tower all which were much appreciated. The bathroom was super clean and the outdoor shower was amazing. There is something to be said about showering while looking up at the stars. We cannot wait to return. Don't miss out on staying here, it is a hidden gem!

This campsite is incredibly spacious, making it perfect for large groups while still offering plenty of privacy. There’s even a small entry to the creek, providing a perfect spot for fishing. The retreat offers a wide range of activities to enjoy. We took a boat ride with Captain John, who is not only knowledgeable but also an excellent tour guide. One afternoon, we went kayaking, which was both fun and relaxing. Additionally, there's an overhead deck where you can fish or simply lounge and watch the sunset. There are plenty of spots around the retreat to unwind and take in the natural beauty. The entire campground is beautifully decorated, and you can really feel the thoughtful care that went into every detail. John and his parents are amazing hosts who are very attentive and truly make you feel at home. Plus, the dogs are super friendly, and Roxie is the perfect co-captain! We can't recommend this place enough. What started as just needing a place to sleep turned into a five-day experience full of fun and unforgettable memories. We will definitely be coming back!

VERY BEAUTIFULLY AMAZING A FRAME …EVERYTHING U NEED IS SUPPLIED EVEN TOWELS IN THE BATHROOM. I love this place and my kids toooo it was so peaceful and quiet well be back for a couple days next time,I can’t wait ..

The campsite was perfect. Firepit picnic table nothing but trees. Very piece full. Hosts were friendly and made us feel welcome from the time we pulled in. We will definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing time camping at J&P Creekside Retreat. We took a super nice boat ride & saw lots of animals. Bathroom was clean & the outdoor shower with hot water was a plus. The kids played in the trampoline & they loved it. Everyone was super friendly. Thank you very much & God bless you.

the cutest most comfortable cabin ever! all the plant life was gorgeous and made it feel so serine and welcoming! cant wait to go back!

This campsite is ideally located near the common areas while offering plenty of space and privacy, even with a neighboring site. It’s equipped with a fire pit, tables, and even a rocking chair swing for added comfort. At night, the views of the stars are simply breathtaking. Ordering the fire bundle was a great choice. It was delivered right to our campsite and provided more than enough wood for a cozy evening by the fire. It’s a wonderful spot for anyone looking to relax, unwind, and enjoy the outdoors.

This was our second stay with John. What a great host and wonderful property. Low key “old Florida “ vibe with everything you will need to camp or “glamp”. Would definitely recommend this Hipcamp to any and all. Cheers John!!! Thanks for stay. SnJ.
