Weekend Trip to Sandy Creek Resort

We had a great time! I love being outside and setting up a hammock around the fire and be away from everything! My girlfriend needs a little more- so this was PERFECT! Beautiful set up with many extras to enjoy. Felt like we were in a hotel room! But still got to set up my hammock, cook over the fire, and feel like I was out and away from everything! They have incredible outdoor kitchen ready for if you want more than the fire. The hosts were great communicating and making sure we were set up and enjoying everything! Very friendly and welcoming! Felt comfortable the entire time. Looking to book again soon and get goat yoga scheduled:)

We can’t say enough wonderful things about Eric and his hospitality. He had the site set up for us with Adirondack chairs, umbrella, fire pit, and a small table when we arrived. His communication with us was great prior to our arrival and all throughout our stay. The spot is very clean and is nicely set up with water, 30 amp, and sewer. Eric took us on a 3-hour boat trip all around the area on his restored pink boat which was the highlight of our trip. We slept with the doors open on our Class B, and felt completely safe in the area which was quiet and peaceful. The dock has been refurbished and is a perfect place to relax and unwind. We loved getting to explore Fort Walton Beach on Eric’s recommendations.

Weekend Trip to Larry & Sheila's Blackwater Getaway

We lucked out here. We had a quiet weekend (as you can with THREE boys 12,13,13). Sheila and Larry were so friendly, they stopped in a bit after we arrived. We were able to chat a bit while we were allowing the boys to be boys… sometimes it’s hard to be able to. It was so refreshing for me to enjoy nature and let the boys do the work and run like heathens for once. We will most definitely be back to this beautiful piece of property.

Very accessible location with one site that has full hookups. A short drive to Gulf Islands National Seashore's Johnson Beach and Perdido Island. Many interesting attractions, such as the Pensacola Lighthouse and Museum and the Naval Aviation Museum. Also near the Flora-Bama Lounge and restaurants that straddle the state line. Very private: Russell was there if we needed anything, but left us alone. There's a little stream and pond in the backyard with lots of birds. There's also a firepit. Overall a great experience.

Amazing memories made at this gem of a spot. We enjoyed our stay. The weather was just right during the day and the evenings were just right for sitting around the fire. The white sandy beaches of Florida (Pensacola & Navarre) were in close proximity. Getting to know our host Joseph was a highlight for us. We had a camping spot in the woods on top of the pine needles and among 130 year old pine trees. Anyone looking for a space outside of

Perfect spot for camping near the beach if you want to avoid the crowds. We weren't bothered by anyone our entire stay which is what we prefer. Perfectly level camp site under some shade trees was perfect for setting up our pop up camper. Plenty of open space for our 3 kids to run around. Tucked away but close to everything. Aldi, Walmart, Target 5 minutes away. The beach 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. We had a nice stay here.

Just do it, easy on easy off I10. Richard wax great. We will definitely be back! We had four dogs and 2 kids barely seen anyone. It was perfect.

It was quiet and peaceful and the stars were real bright. Enjoyed seeing all the farm animals but our favorite was Homer the dog. We also enjoyed hiking. We hope to go there again soon.

We had an amazing stay at this spacious, full-hookup site inside Grand Riviera RV Resort! The site was level and easy to set up on, with plenty of room to spread out. Having access to the resort’s amenities—three pools, pickleball courts, and laundry—was a huge bonus. But the best part? It’s just a short drive to the beautiful Gulf Shores beaches! If you’re looking for a comfortable and convenient spot to park your RV near the coast, this is definitely one to check out. We’d absolutely stay here again!

Heart of the Country is our home and also your own personal twelve acre state park whenever you stay with us! We are less than 15 minutes from Interstate 10 and from Interstate 65. I offer a half-dozen campsites, all either on a relatively level paved driveway or grass. Power (20 amp and 30 amp) and water is available. We have two 30 amp campsites, which are first come, first served. WIFI is available! (please ask for password). We have a portable toilet for your use. This is a Longleaf Pine sanctuary with lots of nature trails. This is also a hobby farm with livestock (Donkey, two Goats, a Duck and a flock of Chickens). I feed the livestock grain every morning usually between 8 and 9 am, and again hay before dusk. You are always welcome to join me and I'll introduce all of them to you! My dog, Homer, is our very friendly welcoming ambassador who will enthusiastically great you upon your arrival. I put him up in his kennel each evening around dusk, then lock him in his shed until morning which keeps him from backing during the night. We also host an AirBnB, so other guests may be here as well. Texting via the app is our preferred mode of communication. If you call, please leave a message if I can't answer, and I will call you back. We are slowly updating the site photos. Use them only to determine your price, for example: A site with 30 amp power and water is $25 per night. A site with 20 amp power and water is $20 per night. A boondocking site (no power) is $15 per night. All sites have access to a porta-potty and water. Suggested local attraction: Blakeley State Historic Park is four miles away.

The land uses were favorable for cattle grazing and turpentining through the 1800s. It came to be known as Yellow River Marsh State Buffer Preserve on June 12, 2000, when it was purchased by the state of Florida to protect rare and environmentally sensitive lands, plants and animals. Through generous donations, Preservation 2000 and the Florida Forever Program, more land was added to protect contiguous habitat of the Garcon Ecosystem. You would have access to our small dock and there is a neighborhood boat ramp less than one hundred feet away. This is a great place for kayaks, wave runners, and small boats. If you don't have a boat, we can set up any kind of trip you want. We are all licensed captains and own multiple Crab Island businesses. We have a 23' sailboat that we can take up to 6 people on for a peaceful 4 hour sail. You can charter our pontoon boat for as many as 6 people to take you to Crab Island as well as some other spots that only locals know about. We also have a restored 1966 Boston Whaler that is perfect for couples looking for a sunset cruise, etc. We can also do Waverunner tours. We can take you on a guided wave runner tour looking for dolphins and private beaches. We can also accommodate up to 2 people on an inshore flats skiff targeting redfish and trout on light spinning gear and fly rods. The neighborhood is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Fort Walton with large oaks and magnolias providing plenty of shade for bike riding and walking. Downtown Fort Walton with its shops and quaint restaurants is only a mile away. Didn't bring a bike, we have 2 you can use. The site comes with water/sewer and 30 Amp hookup.
