It is located on the Apalachicola River, about 1 mile upstream of Neal Landing near Blountstown, and is only accessible by motorboat or paddle vessel. The houseboat is in a fixed location and does not move. It is furnished with two beds, a futon, and a loft for extra sleeping space, and there is a generator for power. This is a primitive camp, not a luxury resort stay. You must bring gasoline for the generator if you want power. The beds have hygienic mattress covers, but you should bring your own sleeping bag and pillow cover. You can relieve yourself at the boat ramp porta-potty (~1 mile away) or in the composting camp toilet out back. You must bring bottled drinking water or a Sawyer filter for river water. There is a propane stove/oven, a charcoal grill, and a fire pit out front if you bring wood or collect it. An outside propane instant hot water heater with a shower head and privacy screen is available if you need to get clean and don’t want to hop in the river. My goal is to offer a unique experience and provide a code to the door for the agreed time frame, not to provide every convenience. I would charge more for each stay if that were the case because it would be a real challenge for me to get to the houseboat and keep it stocked. If you come prepared for a camping trip, you will have a great time; if you come with nothing, you probably will not. This is my first time renting it out, so all the logistics are not fully sorted yet. I’m willing to talk with potential guests to see if we can work something out if additional amenities or comforts are required. This is an awesome camp for a hunting or fishing weekend, with enough room for a few friends to relax and enjoy some beers in the evening. This is not a random cash-grab rental property. This is my personal camp retreat, and I only want to share it with people who will be respectful of it and the river. More photos coming soon.

I've stayed here twice now and I will say under the new management it is a complete 180 from last time. The park is actually kept up with. They were having a farmers market when we showed up. It is super quiet and priced fair. Only issue is they double booked my spot but they had it taken care of within minutes.

I loved the property. The lot is mostly shaded and the dock/deck is wonderful. It was quiet and semi private. Remember to bring a four wheel drive and at least 30' of water hose with a filter (city water) if you plan to drink. Jennifer was awesome and checked in on me at least twice. Wayne was a great host and takes good care of the property. The covered parking is bigger in person and leaves plenty of room for outdoor picnicking next to your trailer rain or shine. This was a great place to stay! Being undercover was a huge benefit in Florida with the rain and the heat. Wayne provided a new picnic table and a patio style fireplace. I didn't get to use the fireplace but there was wood available for free. Wayne answered all of my questions very quickly and was very welcoming. I would definitely recommend this hipcamp

The site was nice and level with full hookups and picnic table. The site was very large with a metal roof which had plenty of room for our 24 foot class c with slide out. Nice location on the bay across from Destin.

Weekend Trip to Moonpie Farm and Creamery

This was our first Hipcamp stay and it was wonderful! We were the only ones there and Elizabeth was very warm and welcoming. We got to watch her milk the cows and she introduced us to all of her farm animals. There was lots to explore and my kids had a blast. Site was easy to get in and out of and we would definitely stay again. We got to visit Elizabeth’s farm store and I can’t wait to try some of the goodies we purchased. I appreciated how knowledgeable Elizabeth is and how much information she was willing to share. I took home some tips to help with hatching chicken eggs and I even told my husband that I want to be like her one day!

5 nights at Quiet bay access camping

We had a little mix up in the beginning.. but Wayne totally took care of us. A safe & secure site that was close to Miramar beach & all the festivities. We had a great time & would highly recommend this Hipcamp! We will be going back in the future 5 Stars!!
