Ducks and chickens may wander near the camping area. If you're towing horses, they are welcome to graze within the camping area. If multiple guests have horses, we’ll guide you to a larger pasture. Pets are welcome! Just keep them leashed near the other farm animals. The FOLC Farm (Florida Outdoor Learning Collective) is a homestead, outdoor learning center, and community event space in Gainesville, FL. Situated on 5 wooded acres, The FOLC Farm is only minutes from downtown Gainesville and the University of Florida by car or bike trail, and within walking distance of Payne's Prairie State Park La Chua Trail, Boulware Spring, Sweetwater Preserve trail system, and the Hawthorne bike trail. Weekend Trip to Lochloosa Creek Hideaway + Biking

We just had an amazing stay on Brandon's beautiful property! From start to finish Brandon was attentive and accommodating. The property was beautiful! It backs right up to a tree covered and paved bike trail which was so much fun to ride! We used our ebikes but he had 2 bikes for our adult friends and even went out of his was to get a child's bike for their 10 yr old! We also visited Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings State Park which was so interesting. We shook tangerines and oranges from the trees stayed for the fascinating tour of her home. We took full advantage of his big smoker and had great food, built fires and toasted marshmallows! If you are on the fence about this property, dont be. Go! You will love it. ❤️

I came looking to let my dogs off leash and this place was better than i could have hoped for. The river was beautiful and cool and my pups ran and splashed and smiled the whole time we were there. I'm excited to add this to my list of places to stay. Will definitely be back. Thank you for sharing your land with us.

Weekend Trip to Blackwater Ranch - River Camping

A buddy and I truck camped on campsite 1 here in early March. There were no skeeters and the night time temperatures were excellent. I like that the camp spaces have generous room. The bathrooms were a nice surprise and well kept. Everything was first class. We will come here again when the river rises.

Arcade Noah hip camp is by far my favorite spot so far. Anthony the host is phenomenal. Outgoing and genuine. I'm on a primitive camping site, and using my solar to keep things running in my camper. If you're looking for a spot that's off the grid, where you can get out and see the stars. This is the spot for you. It's off on the main grid of St Augustine but not so far away that you can't get anywhere. 15 maybe 20 minutes to the beach or Publix 15 minutes away. Little local shops close by. Here at Arca Noah, Anthony has goats, chickens and rabbits. Super chill place to come camp and soak up a little bit of nature around you. I give this Hipcamp five stars. I can't wait to come back and visit again.

The camp has a good feel and it's laid out really well. There are eating and socializing areas . A huge firepit. There are pots and pans for cooking, a washing station for after meals, a shower that supplies almost instant hot water, a composting toilet. The various camp spots are placed at a good distance apart. This campground seems to have all the amenities, but for the life of me I couldn't understand why I was the only camper there for the 4 nights of my stay. I suppose there are street noises, since it is very close to a neighborhood. And there are vocal frogs and barking dogs occasionally, but that didn't really bother me. There is a good coverage of trees, and supposedly there are workshops and events beyond the camping area, but I didn't see anything posted, and I wasn't sure if that was something that you signed up for, or what, so I didn't feel very comfortable venturing beyond the camping area. But honestly, I kind of enjoyed having such a cool campground to myself. Very nice stay, and thank you too the hostess.

Location is fantastic. Close to the Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail, Paynes Prairie, LaChua, Sweetwater Nature Park, and downtown Gainesville. Great for a full day or two of bicycling.

Employees were very friendly. They welcomed us on site and explained everything right away The Country store was not much but it’s also not season time for their blueberry’s, so I’m sure the store was not stocked. It was a little run-down but that didn’t matter to us. We were just looking for a place to boon-dock. This site provided us a quiet and beautiful country feeling. We felt safe and would definitely return.

I really loved camping at the FOLC farm. The camp site is well forested and relaxing to be in the shade. The toilet/sink/shower/tables are well maintained, very comfortable and clean. The location is wonderful for visiting Gainsville and there are extensive hiking and biking trails only a block away. Everyone was kind and helpful but at the camp site we could be alone which was great.

Weekend Trip to Celestial Acres

We had such an incredible experience staying at Celestial Acres. Jen was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to make sure my two boys and I felt welcome and comfortable. My kids had the best time exploring the farm, being around the animals, and enjoying the outdoors. They haven’t stopped talking about it since we left and they want to know when we can go back. It was such a special and memorable night. Thank you, Jen, for creating such a wonderful experience. We can’t wait to return!

Super friendly and accommodating host. He met us when we arrived and helped us fill up our water tank. The campsite was clean, peaceful and level. Fairly easy to get in and out and we have a 35 foot fifth wheel. Great value for the price!

I loved camping at Bragging Eagle, it was enclosed, private, and I woke up to the sound of songbirds every morning :) The compost toilet worked like a charm and was incredibly clean. There was a shower area and a place to wash up - my favorite was the sourdough bread that was baked fresh when I arrived and their dog Veda who was incredibly friendly.

It’s hard to put into words how my camping experience was at Blackwater Ranch Campground… serene, relaxing. Three days wasn’t enough, so I extended it two more days and I had the campground to myself the whole time, just me and my doggie and he didn’t have to be on a leash. The host was awesome! He welcomed me and gave me a complementary bundle of wood to get me started. I came to rejuvenate myself and I’m so incredibly sad to leave! But I’m sure anyone would be sad leaving here to go back to Minnesota 😭. It was such a blessing. I recommend it to everyone! The perfect little getaway! White sand beaches along the river. Nice little walking paths in the woods. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We loved the camp! It had a great outdoor shower and a composting toilet that was very clean and worked well. We enjoyed the free wood they provided for the camp fires. The host was super nice and showed us how to use everything available to us. I also got a chance to paint a hummingbird on the paint wall that was super fun! If you are a birder like we are it is very close to Sweetwater wetlands park. It’s a must if you stay here. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.
