This land once belonged to the Timucuan Indians as a hub for canoe making. We are only one mile from boat and lake access as well as the Hawthorne bike trail that takes you through Payne's Prairie. TIMAKWA Lakeside Campsites are located on the west side of Orange Lake, Florida—once inhabited by Timucuan Indians, Spanish missionaries, and local fishermen. The cabin is clean, we'll kept and comfortable. The hosts are very accomodating and ensure you enjoy your stay. I stayed solo this night, but I think this will be a great place to bring my wife and daughter in the future

Absolutely fantastic hipcamp, this is was the exact reason why we love to hipcamp: connection, safety, and adventure. By far my favorite so far. The host was so lovely and immediately made this place feel safe and like home. From the thoughtful details like a tree swing and coffee station to the cozy cabin itself with a fire pit, we felt at home miles from our own. I will most definitely be back with my family and friends.

We throughly enjoyed our time. The canoes, kayaks and bunk house for the kids were great. Had a slight issue with the water, but the host got it fixed immediately. If you are looking for a spotless 5 stay luxury camping destination, this is not for you but has all the amenities you need. We hope to stay again.

Perfect for our large group gathering. Between the bedrooms, sofas (so many sofas!), and tent spots, there was more than enough space for everyone. It got close to freezing, so we loved being able to gather inside or by the fire pit. A beautiful and spot with tons of space both indoors and outside!

1 night at Quartermoon Acres Cottage

After five days of hotel stays with whirring AC systems, elevator sounds and weary staff members, it was BLISS to stay at Quartermoon Cottage and listen to owls as we sat around a campfire before slipping in to our four-poster bed after bidding goodnight to our incredible hosts. This was our third stay there and it won't be the last. Highly recommend.

This nice, cozy cottage was perfect for our cold camping trip! The hosts were very accommodating, as we had a larger group than usual. We used their camper and set up a tent to fit all 7 of us. They were very responsive to our needs. I’d highly recommend!
