The palm trees are UNBELIEVABLY BEAUTIFUL!!!! Very quiet, very private. The sites are very yyyy roomy. Sweet dogs are there, wish I had more time fir my girl to play with them!! Gypsy got a very nice walk though. Hayden was very sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. The men that were working on the property were really nice to us as well very helpful getting in the gate. Thank you so much for a great stay, will definitely be back

Hagan was a very accommodating host and his land is nice to stay on away from the huddle of the city, but within close proximity. We enjoyed the ability to relax under the royal palms and space to play with our dog. Very reasonable price for full hookups 👌🏽

A gem of a HipCamp that is a perfect stop before heading to the Keys. Really enjoyed a quick overnight stay. The site itself is secluded and really great looking. The only issues are a little tight entry gate for any longer RVs. There was also some noice from a next door property in the morning, but I would definitely say not the fault of the host.
Last thing is road right outside the property is not the best maintained gravel road, but it is ok if you go slow, and only a couple of hundred feet from the Main Street to the property.

Sandra and Joe were great! Sandra was quick to respond to messages. They were very understanding when we had RV issues and had to arrive after dark. Joe came out and helped with the gate and letting us know where to park. The grounds were beautiful. Our dog was very welcome there. Definitely would recommend them to anyone looking for a peaceful place to stay.

I really enjoyed staying at Hagen's place. It felt super safe and welcoming. Automatic gate is a big plus! Contact with Hagen was excellent, he provided me with all the needed information and was super polite.
All the listed things were provided. It is a perfect spot to stay at if you want to visit both Miami and Everglades.

We stopped here for a night on the way to Key West. Easy to get to .. very close to Highway, plenty of shopping and food options nearby as well as fuel. Clean site, beautiful surroundings, easy to walk our dog, had everything we needed for a night . Gated- which was a plus . Hagen was welcoming and very easy to arrange arrival with.

With my family I had three nights at the peacock site. Joe helped us to back in and explained the fruits in his garden.
The site was very beautiful and peaceful. I can highly recommend this place when you want to visit the everglades and have a relaxing site.
As the site name already tells you, there is a Peacock running around. Sometimes you can also hear a rooster from the neighbour.
We where in mosquito high season and inside the everglades where millions, but just a few minutes away at peacock site it was okay.
Also without knowing before a lot of other activities can be reached within minutes.
My family and I where really happy and would always book this site again

Where to go
Upper & Middle Keys
The 113-mile-long Overseas Highway stretches west from Key Largo, and it’s a road trip like no other, passing 42 bridges and linking 800 islands. Campgrounds are easily found in the Upper and Middle Keys, where you can go boating and fishing around the six islands of Islamorada, take a hike in Lignumvitae Key Botanical State Park, then cross the Seven Mile Bridge to Marathon. Curry Hammock State Park and Long Key State Park both have tent and RV camping away from the crowds.
Lower Keys
Wildlife refuges and marine sanctuaries await in the Lower Keys, and these tranquil islands provide plenty of options for campers, from seaside cottages and glampsites to ocean-view RV campgrounds. Don’t miss the wild beaches and bays of Bahia Honda State Park, a hotspot for snorkeling and stand-up paddleboarding, and the National Key Deer Refuge at Big Pine Key.
Key West & Dry Tortuga
With its eclectic architecture, colorful conch houses, and historic monuments—most famously the homes of Ernest Hemingway and Tennessee Williams—Key West is the coolest camping spot in the Keys. Once you’ve watched the sunset from Mallory Square, dined at one of the restaurants along Duval Street, and tried out the latest adrenaline-fuelled water sports, hop on a ferry or seaplane for an island camping getaway at Dry Tortugas National Park.
Everglades National Park
Just a short drive from Key Largo, the Everglades National Park has more than 600,000 hectares of UNESCO-protected landscapes, where you can cruise through the wetlands, kayak around the marshes, and spot alligators, manatees, and wading birds. Explore on a day trip or stay the night at one of the park’s two campgrounds.
When to go
Year-round sunshine and warm waters make Key Largo a hotspot for winter sun, and December through March is peak season. High prices and big crowds are expected at this time, so book ahead, but it’s also the liveliest time to visit, with festivals such as the Key Largo Boat Parade. Camping is possible through summer, but high humidity, temperatures over 90°F, and hurricane season (June-November) can temper travel plans.
