We opened to the public on Labor Day 2014. Most people come to stay either in our rental cottage or in their horse trailers/RVs with their horses to ride the awesome trails in the 20,000+ acre adjacent Croom Forest. However, because our ranch is so peaceful, many stay here without horses just to enjoy the peace and quiet. There are many opportunities to recreate in the area, including outstanding mountain and road biking, OHVing, hiking, golfing, and canoeing/kayaking. Many full-time and working RVers stay for extended periods. Note that our camping area is small and intimate, so you will be close to other campers. We have 5 30-amp hookups, and 2 50-amp hookups; if you need 50-amp service, please request it. Note that a minimum of a 2-night stay will typically be required on weekends, especially during our busy season. WiFi is available, but we call it "Country WiFi" since it sometimes can be slow and may or may not be accessible from where you are parked; also, Verizon cell service in our area is terrible. If internet access is important to you, we suggest having your own hotspot or internet service (many working RVers have Starlink). Note that GPS can be very mean in our rural area; make sure your turn off Highway 50 is onto paved High Corner Road, which is 2 miles west of I-75 (if GPS tries to turn you down unpaved, dead-end roads, DO NOT LISTEN..you will get stuck!).

Your cabin is fully supplied with bedding, towels, refrigerator, coffee pot, cups and silverware, AC in the summer months, and an electric fireplace in the wintertime.
On site is our own Bistro Barn fully furnished with a refrigerator, gas grill, charcoal grill, silverware and all the pots and pans you may be looking for. It's a great little hang out area with bluetooth speaker setup.
Outside you will find a firepit as well as a charcoal grill, a table for eating, a hammock, and a swing chair.
The outside shower house is on the primitive side and made for the adventure type. It is equipped with a portable toilet and shower under the stars. It is hooked up with instant hot water.

We thoroughly enjoyed ringing in the New Year at Spotted Dance Ranch! Kym & John were wonderful hosts. They have a lil slice of paradise to share and it is oh so peaceful. They have 7 full hook ups for RV and a cute lil cottage on-site available for rent as well. We will definitely return in the very near future! Thank you both for sharing your ranch via Hipcamp!

We can’t wait to go back to Spotted Dance Ranch! Kym approved us quickly and was very communicative regarding directions, offered info on nearest grocery, restaurants and more. (It was easy to get in and out thanks to following host directions vs gps.) John was super helpful and answered all of our questions upon arrival as well. Leveling and set up was a breeze. Everything was well maintained and cared for. Our dogs enjoyed stretching their legs on the property after our dog show. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere after a hectic day too. 1000% would stay again, but next time we hope to stay longer so we have time to meet the horses. Don’t hesitate if you are considering booking here. It’s a great place to stay! John & Kym are wonderful hosts with a lovely ranch.

We wanted to stay in the woods and that is exactly what it was. My first time "glamping" and I recommend it. Nice to sleep in a real bed, have AC, heat and protection from the elements. We made a fire every night and enjoyed the trees, birds and squirrels running around. It is close to the main house, but we were unbothered and it felt private. Definitely a thumbs up! Very quiet yet close to town.

We loved our stay! It was an adorable cozy little cabin with the benefits of camping--dinner over a fire, enjoying the outdoors, and an outdoor shower (so cool and enjoyable--even when it got cold at night!). We will definitely be back here. Perfect for a short getaway weekend and very easy to take kids with you without the stress of cramming into a tent and/or getting bad sleep on the ground. We brought out 5 month old and had plenty of room for her portacrib ! Very simple and fun!

My partner and I decided to extend our vacation to spend more time paddle boarding the beautiful springs and seeing the manatees, and Colleen’s place was affordable, peaceful, and in close proximity to the springs! We loved showering under the stars in the hot outdoor shower and we made an excellent meal on the charcoal grill. We didn’t use the bonfire pit, but the set up was really cute, with a hanging bench and an outdoor table and chairs. Although the place is situated fairly close to Colleen’s house, it still felt private and comfortable. We are avid and seasoned campers, so this “glamping” experience was familiar to us and had just what we needed (a warm, dog-friendly place to stay with a bed and hot shower) for a fraction of the price of an AirBNB or hotel stay. We would definitely visit again! Thanks Colleen!

We loved our time here! The cabin was perfect for the two of us. Plenty of blankets and pillows. They were also helpful with giving us recommendations on places to go. It is close to the owners home but we still felt like we had plenty of privacy.

Weekend Trip to Cabin Glamping
Great getaway cabin! My wife and I brought our dog Zoe for the weekend to go see the manatees and we couldn’t have asked for a better time. The weather was perfect and the campfire was roaring. Our host graciously provided the firewood and gave us a great brief tour of what to expect. She even provided local knowledge on some local bars etc. our dog Zoe was fine in the cabin while we left in the AC and we went hiking not 10 minutes away. I would highly suggest this place and we plan to come back one day.
