Crooked River State Park Campground

Although none of the places to sleep at Crooked River State Park Campground are on the water, an abundance of picnic shelters right on Crooked River mean that you'll get to have your waterfront fun and your shade, too

Crooked River at Sunset after 50mi on an extremely dusty gravel road. The tent on top stayed dust free while everything in the trailer was saturated with dust.

The convenient pump helped with the initial clean up and a half day at a car wash next finished the job. Great camp site though once you get there.

This 2-acre lot will put you in touch with nature!  You will see and hear owls, many species of birds in a quiet, peaceful setting.  Bluebird boxes, bird feeder and birdbath are near the RV site, so you will enjoy watching nature right at your campsite.  During hummingbird season, you will observe these tiny amazing birds enjoying our homemade nectar. Turtles enjoy roaming the property also.  The camper pictured is in the spot where your RV will be parked. A firepit and grate are at the campsite.

You will be minutes from Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island, where you can swim and surf or rent horses for a beach horseback ride.  Lofton Creek Kayaking and boat launches are within minutes.  Several state parks are also nearby.  You will have your pick of shopping and restaurants all within 15-30 minutes of your camp site.

Vineyard Lake Getaway

Enjoy a quite country atmosphere conveniently located minutes from I295 in Jacksonville. Bring your bathing suites, and fishing poles because this seven acres has a spring fed lake loaded with fish, and clear water ideal for swimming. The sites are spacious, and sites 1&2 have full hook ups (50 amp elect, water, and sewage).

Conductor's Corner Campsites

Call us bias, but there’s nothing better than small town life. When the "blue roof cottage by the tracks" (yes, it used to have a unique blue roof) hit the market in early 2021, we knew it had to be ours! We purchased it & flipped it into a vacation home for guests of Folkston .. and The Conductor's Corner was born. Because we are also avid RV'ers, we thought what better way to finish off our corner than to add a few first-class RV sites to accommodate the camping community.

In a small town in the south, where the Okefenokee Swamp runs deep and railfans thrive, the Conductor’s Corner stands out. The Conductor’s Corner features 3 premium RV sites directly on the rail lines of the Folkston Funnel. This railfan's dream neighbors the Folkston Railfan Train Platform. The spacious concrete pads are perfect for a night of watching trains under the stars.

A quick 3 minute walk from the Conductor’s Corner will lead to the heart of Main Street where visitors will find a plethora of hidden treasures: coffee shops, boutiques, local eateries, the Train Museum and so much more. Guests could spend a day exploring the habitats and waterways of the Okefenokee Swamp or take a short drive to neighboring communities such as Cumberland Island, Savannah, Golden Isles or Amelia Island or Jacksonville in Florida. All the comforts of home and the utmost southern hospitality are included in your stay on our corner.  

The Conductor's Corner also includes a vacation cottage available for rent (sleeps 6).

The Lodge at Hartley Oaks

Sleep under the stars at Buffalo Creek while at Hartley Oaks formerly known as Newell Lodge. Select your site or pitch your tent. The outdoors is right outside your door. Fire Pits and wood are available at a nominal fee. Guest full bathrooms are available.

Nestled in the midst of a private 57-acre native live oak forest, you'll find yourself quite happily in the middle of nowhere. Out here, nature sings you to sleep. You'll awaken to a place and time found nowhere else in the world.

Located in rural Georgia on a 57-acre tract of beautiful live oak trees. 30 and 50 amperage hookups are available for RVs. (Electric and Water.) Four full bathrooms are available for guests. An accessible dump station is on-site.

Buffalo Creek Campsites are on the grounds of Hartley Oaks near the Okefenokee Swamp.

These recently updated, spacious, and private campsites are located near Kingsland, GA - just a few minutes away from the Florida state line!! This property is conveniently located just off of I-95 (Exit 7). All of Lucille Oaks' RV sites are nestled under a canopy of several large trees.  Each site has a 50/20 amp electric connection with lights on the pedestal.  More amenities will be added soon. So, please come and join us at Lucille Oaks on your next journey to or from Florida!!

Deep Bend Landing

Our campground&nbsp; was founded in 1980 on a family owned estate established in the mid 1800. We are just a short drive off of I-95 in Coastal Ga, near Brunswick,Ga; only minutes from the beaches of the Golden Isles of Ga, Okefenokee Swamp Park and Northeast Fl. Our large campsites will never leave you with concerns about invading the space neighboring campers. Many&nbsp;of our guest are content with watching the river roll by without hearing the noise of automobiles or emergency vehicles. Other guess spend there days fishing, boating or listening to birds chirping.

Just 35 minutes outside Jacksonville, Blackwater is a secluded 10+ acre private riverfront property at Georgia’s southernmost tip right on the Florida-Georgia Line.

Surrounded by protected preserve and a river bend, our property offers "old Florida" vibes, nature, country, and a true escape from crowded camps if you seek privacy. Your campsite views across the river are of Florida, with 150+ acres of preserve, giving the property a peaceful and remote feel while remaining close to town for all essentials.

Situated on the St. Marys River, a rain-fed river flowing from the Okefenokee Swamp. Natural tannins from peat give the water its famous sweet-tea color, which appears black in deeper water and "sweet-tea" in the shallows.

Animal Lover's RV Site

Park your rig under a beautiful Florida oak hammock in a rural residential area located on a quiet dead end street in north Jacksonville. Well behaved and managed pets are welcome. 

Resident wildlife includes armadillos, opossums, racoons, deer, wild turkeys, raptors, songbirds too numerous to list. There are also coyotes and bobcats in the area, but they are illusive and unlikely to be spotted. The site is also adjacent to an animal sanctuary. If you are lucky, you will be serenaded by a troop of lemurs!

Welcome to the hideaway by the highway! It’s peaceful after 6 pm!

Great campsite to hide away nestled among towering cypress trees on the banks of a serene creek. This secluded gem offers the perfect blend of nature and convenience.

You can relax by the water’s edge or shady canopy.

Or if you prefer, explore the beautiful pristine beaches of Amelia Island after you park and setup camp with easy access to Highway 1, you’re just 30 minutes from the island.

If you’re looking for a weekend of creekside camping or an adventure-filled beach day, this woodland escape is the perfect spot to unwind and recharge!

Florida Wildlands

This former timberland has been recently thinned but still retains enough pine and hardwood trees to provide a natural shade. Come camp under the stars and explore wild Florida, surrounded by palmettos and other native wildlife. You may see the occasional deer, turkey, or rabbit strolling though. Pack out what you pack in and help us keep this spot “all natural” for all guests. 

Persimmon Creek Farms

We are located near the great Satilla River! Our property is great for wildlife viewing, walking trails, and a serene getaway. We have an outdoor shower and restroom set up for your convenience. This is the perfect place to kick back, relax and enjoy your surroundings. A public boat ramp is located approximately 1.1 miles from camp site, so feel free to bring your boat or kayak and take advantage of all nature has to offer. 

Country Camp, Close To Jekyll !

You will have access to a place to park your van, travel trailer, 5th wheel or motorhome! 

At the moment , there is no connected utilities so you need to be fully self sufficient in regard to power, and septic.

I have a blank , clean , safe place in a country setting off a quiet two lane road that makes a perfect overnight destination or a destination to explore Jekyll , St Simons, or Cumberland Island!
