Cypress Landing RV Park is a family-oriented, locally-owned RV park that sits on the shores of beautiful Gantt Lake in South Alabama. The lake is approximately 2,700 acres in size with 21 miles of shoreline. Water sports enthusiasts will enjoy skiing, swimming, jet-skiing, and boating on its waters, while fishermen will appreciate catching shell crackers, bream, and bass. Cypress Landing RV Park is a family-oriented, locally-owned RV park that sits on the shores of beautiful Gantt Lake in South Alabama. The lake is approximately 2,700 acres in size with 21 miles of shoreline. Water sports enthusiasts will enjoy skiing, swimming, jet-skiing, and boating on its waters, while fishermen will appreciate catching shell crackers, bream, and bass. During the winter, duck hunters can experience incredible hunts on the lake.

Set up was a breeze on arrival. Jay met me and showed me my boondocking site - flat and plenty of room to pull in and circle around for my 26' TT. Keyed and gated entry was nice. Each day I heard the neighbor's rooster and a braying donkey - far enough away to be unobtrusive and near enough to be enjoyed. Other campers down the road were either tent campers or RVs enjoying full hookups. Met some nice folks!
Only had 2 other boondocking neighbors during my 7 night stay. Jay and Suzette were lovely and welcoming. Enjoyed evening conversation while the guys played horseshoes. The laundry/shower/toilet rooms were clean and well kept. Laundry rate was very reasonable. I enjoyed my time there so much I extended my stay a few more days.
You might want to bring your own fresh water as the water hose by the tank dump is not technically potable due to its location.

We booked with Jay and Suzette and we were very surprised Bathroom, shower, laundry, little treats, and lovely trails around the property to take a walk or jog. The tent and RV-hook-up sites are scattered about giving alot of space and privacy . They were lovely hosts as well.

Gateway Trails is by far the best Hipcamp site I have visited. Jay and his pup greeted us to make sure we had everything we needed. We only made a quick overnight but honestly I could have stayed for days. Highly recommend especially to solo travelers looking for a safe place to rest your head.

Our dog had a blast roaming around and she spent a lot of time down in the creek. It was the perfect blend of the outdoors and access to the creature comforts youd want. Had private creek access from our campsite with a couple of steep steps down & used a rope to pull ourselves back up. This place was adorable & very well maintained. It was very private, as i was the only camper there at the time. They have a pavilion with a grill. A toilet room, outdoor sink, and a shower. It is outside so be mindful of cold weather, though they do have hot water. Fire pits, a self serve firewood station, a "Trading Post" that held different woods for smoking meats. A wonderful stay, and the host was very responsive. Thank you!

Everything was set up great! The spots were easy to identify and the directions for getting there helped greatly.
Tent site 8 was fantastic. There was a wheel barrel provided that came in handy for getting the cooler there. The common kitchen area saved the night for cooking dinner one day that I struggled with a fire. Cleaning up dishes there was very convenient. The bathrooms were clean and fantastic.
The location on cold water creek was my favorite part about this place. There's a couple beautiful sandbars to relax on the creeks edge.
Overall, a wonderful, peaceful, and well equipped campground for a trip outdoors.

The location was very easily accessible to I-10 and the Emerald Coast beaches. Convenient grocery options nearby. It's a quiet place in the country the hosts are really welcoming and very knowledgeable it's great for Boondocking if you want your privacy you can also get a remote to the gate which was really convenient; the showers were clean with hot water, washer and dryer available, potable water. Owners checked in on me to make sure I was okay. My only drawback was the neighbours in the neighbouring property played their music pretty loud at night. I was too tired after a date at the beach to care. Other than that everything is cool. The price was right for me ;a weary traveller needing to stay someplace car and tent campingfor at least four days while I took in the beaches. Found a few dog friendly beaches within 50 miles , thx to Jay and Suzettes knowledge of the area. definitely worth it.see you all on down the road!
