Heart of the Country is our home and also your own personal twelve acre state park whenever you stay with us!
We are less than 15 minutes from Interstate 10 and from Interstate 65.
I offer a half-dozen campsites, all either on a relatively level paved driveway or grass. Power (20 amp and 30 amp) and water is available. We have two 30 amp campsites, which are first come, first served.
WIFI is available! (please ask for password).
We have a portable toilet (portable-potty) for your use.
This is a Longleaf Pine sanctuary with lots of nature trails.
This is also a hobby farm with livestock (two Donkeys, two Goats and a flock of Chickens). I feed the livestock grain every morning usually between 8 and 9 am, and again hay before dusk. You are always welcome to join me and I'll introduce all of them to you!
My dog, Homer, is our very friendly welcoming ambassador who will enthusiastically great you upon your arrival. I put him up in his kennel each evening around dusk, then lock him in his shed until morning which keeps him from barking during the night.
We also host three AirBnBs, so other guests may be here as well.
Texting via the app is our preferred mode of communication. If you call, please leave a message if I can't answer, and I will call you back.
We are slowly updating the site photos. Use them only to determine your price, for example: A site with 30 amp power and water is $25 per night. A site with 20 amp power and water is $20 per night. A boondocking site (no power) is $15 per night. All sites have access to a porta-potty and water.
Suggested local attraction: Blakeley State Historic Park is four miles away.

A little slice of camping heaven, 41 acres with 800 feet of water frontage on Styx River. YaYa's is a completely primative or boondocking campground and swim area with porta pottie available. There is hot showers available at truck stop about a mile away and they have a dump station for those in RV. Come enjoy all the natural beauty or we are within an hour of hundreds of things to do for all ages. YaYA lives about 1/2 mile away and has a well available to refill your water. There is plenty of fallen wood to gather for fires or cut wood available for purchase. We have a community area with picnic tables, sun sails, grill, pavilion, and large bonfire. Please note the access road is old gravel and dirt, so if in a low car you'll need to take it slow. If there has been rain call ahead for entry directions as part of road becomes muddy. I purchased this land several years ago after experiencing the heartbreaking loss of my daughter, JoLisa Marie Roadcap, whom we lovingly called "Little Jo." One of my favorite times of day is around 5:30 a.m., when the sun begins to rise. Step out onto the deck, listen to the birds singing, and watch a new day unfold. You may see dozens of species of birds, including the majestic Bald Eagle, endangered woodpeckers, blue herons, bluebirds, blue jays, mockingbirds, doves, and many others. We even have a nesting pair of bluebirds that return year after year. Occasionally, a small black bear may wander through the area as well.
We want your stay here to be peaceful, relaxing, and filled with opportunities to experience the natural beauty of Garcon Point. The area is home to several species of wild carnivorous plants, beautiful beaches, and unique ecosystems found nowhere else.
After 6 years of hard work, challenges, and perseverance, we are proud to say that we are officially a park and preserve. Our property features 9 acres of walking trails, with additional trails still being hand-built. Every path is created with care and respect for the land.
I truly believe this place carries a special spiritual strength that speaks to people from all walks of life and all nations.
A Brief History of Our Location
Following the Bernardo de Gálvez victory during the Siege of Pensacola, a land grant on Garcon Point was awarded to Antonio Garzon in recognition of his service as an interpreter to the Pensacola Indians. The property remained in the Garzon family for 35 years before being sold by Maria Garzon to Joseph Bonifay.

Large parking lot but watch for low power lines. Beach Cruiser Bicycle repair and gas motorized bicycle repair and sales. Have bicycle tires tubes and many bicycle parts in stock!
I only have 1 site renting, the parking lot is never crowded with other vehicles. Great place to park, no detours off of HWY 29, just pull in and pull out, circular drive and parking lot. Direct access to other Highways like Hwy 65. No alcohol at this campsite, serenity. AA meetings if you would like. Property established in 1963.

Camping On The Farm! This is a living quarters horse trailer that we use to travel with our horses. It is a small space! Set on a working farm 5 miles down a red dirt road, the camper offers beautiful views of the Farm and wonderful interaction with nature and the farm animals. The Farm offers the peace and quiet of country life while being just a short distance from the OWA Amusement Park, fine dining, great malls, an outlet center, and the beautiful Gulf beaches.

Camping On The Farm! This is a living quarters horse trailer that we use to travel with our horses. It is a small space! There is a queen size bed in the upper area, a kitchenette with an undercounter refrigerator, a microwave, a two burner gas cooktop, and an outdoor grill. The bathroom has a toilet and a 24" x 30" stand up shower. The kitchen sink is also the bathroom sink. There is a small 3 gallon water heater which will provide about 5 minutes of hot water, meaning you have 5 minutes to shower. We provide a coffee maker (French press), ground coffee, fresh eggs from our chickens, and a loaf of fresh bread (for your consumption or to feed the animals). We do not provide a cooked breakfast. There is no TV or radio. The Camper is nestled 17 miles from Town, so you may want to shop on your way here. The Eastern Shore Center is located at Exit 38, where you can find great shopping, many restaurants, and a Publix grocery store. We try to keep various essential items in the pantry and there is a stocked kitchen (pots, pans, plates, glasses, flatware). TV, landline telephone, and internet are not available. You should have good cell phone service, Verizon and AT&T 4G , outside. Check-in is any time after 3pm and Check-out is 10am.

Please do not open any gates or cross any fences. The animals are people-friendly and will come up to the fences to be fed. Treats are provided.

Come camp in the woods right off the Perdido River. There is a short walk to the cabin, either along boardwalks or via a trail, and we provide carts to make it easy. Across the floating bridge is a sandbar where you can hang out with other river rats and enjoy a cold one.
The Perdido River is known for great tubing and kayaking. We have tubes available to loan. A float from Fillingim’s Landing to our sandbar takes about four hours with stops. If you’re looking for an all-day adventure, you can put in at Barrineau Park Bridge.
We are 420-friendly, and if you want to enjoy a beer, we’ll probably join you. There is a large outdoor fire pit and grills available for use. I also have camping hammocks that can be set up for extra guests, as well as a camping toilet. All I ask is that you clean up after yourselves, bring all trash up front to the garbage cans, and keep the volume down by 10:00 p.m.

This was a beautiful and tranquil spot. Lush green and waterfront area, gracious hosts and the cabin was perfect to relax and take a break from ‘busy life’. Larry and Sheila were more than accommodating. The cabin was perfectly stocked and spotless upon arrival. I enjoyed my time so much, I extended another week! Thanks Larry and Sheila. What a wonderful place to relax and unwind! The hosts are thoughtful, helpful, and friendly. The location is beautiful, and the facilities provided near the river RV sites are excellent. We needed a quiet getaway away from the crowds and we got our head in the dark and starry skies while our feet soaked in the cool current of the Blackwater River. If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and stay there a while.

This was a great find. The place was very quiet. Dave greeted me when I got there, really nice guy, and it’s basically a pick your spot when you get there based on whether you’re using electric or not. Dave showed me what areas I could choose from since I didn’t need any amenities. It was a nice flat area in the shade for my campervan. I didn’t hear any noise from anybody else all night or even in the morning. Definitely recommend. I’d go back if I’m ever back in the area. He also has two donkeys, two goats and some chickens down the road a little when you drive in so it was nice to pet some of them.

Tent camping here is amazing! Right on the river. Can fish right on the bank (caught a few catfish, fried them up and ate them to same day 😋). You can walk a few meters and play safely in the water. River runs a big quicker than expected, but I also camped during a storm with lots of rain. Beautiful scenery! Richard is awesome and communicated well! Would highly recommend, and definitely planning on coming back!

This has been a fantastic experience, so much so, that I extended two additional days. The quiet, with the only sound being the wind and birds is soothing and peaceful. Joseph, is a very good host, after a very heavy rainstorm he was out checking making sure everyone was dry, well and offering empty cabins if your tent had a problem. Above and beyond service.

Such a wonderful place to get back to. I have stayed here several times, and looking forward to getting back. Joseph is an excellent host, very personal and very accommodating to make sure you have a wonderful experience at his at his place. That is a very special place located in Garson point very close to the beaches and plenty of other activities near the area hiking biking trails BlackWaterStatePark it’s all there.
