Guests can park right on their site, or they have the option of parking and hiking into the woods to set up their site a bit more remote and off the beaten path. This is rustic camping. We have a bathhouse located at the campsites with showers. The bathhouse at the Great Lodge hereas we do have garbage cans, we prefer that anything you bring into the property, you bring out with you. We allow campfires. Don't be surprised if you see a monkey or two in the trees... The fishing is amazing in these parts, so if you are an angler, come and visit. We have .75 miles of frontage on the Orange Creek. The creek flows into Lake Ocklawaha which just so happens to be one of the best bass fishing lakes in the USA. In fact, ten-pound bass are not uncommon from the Lake Ocklawaha River in the winter. Recently (2020), a 17.2-pound bass was caught there. The combined Ocklawaha and St. Johns drainage basin is possibly the most significant river-estuary waterway of Florida. This water system is of legendary reputation among anglers of largemouth bass who seek 10 pound plus trophy fish. Conveniently located between Ocala and Gainesville in the heart of Orange Springs, Florida, Camp Seminole Spring is perfectly located for the traveler who wants to really connect with nature. It appears to be ‘off the beaten path’, yet it is close enough to civilization so that even the most seasoned camper can make a quick run to store should he or she need something not found in nature. Camp Seminole Spring is mid-way (approx.. 22 miles) between Ocala and Gainesville, Florida, which are two thriving cities in this area of Florida. Ocala, the ‘horse capital of the world’ showcases a brand new multi-billion-dollar equestrian center which draws people from all over the world. This scenic property has an artesian spring which pushes out 1.6 million gallons of water per day rated among the top three percent of water in the world with an 8.4 natural pH. This water fills the pond and then continues on to flow into Orange Creek. Camp Seminole Springs was established in the 1940’s as a honeymoon resort and campground. The founders built a heart-shaped ‘pond-spring’ which is filled with the crystal-clear water pushed out from the spring where guests can lounge by the beach or gaze down into the bottom through the glass-like water or take a refreshing swim. At the top of the hill overlooking the heart-shaped spring, one will find the rustic Great Lodge where guests can come and mingle with each other, enjoy a relaxing conversation and a drink on the veranda or just sit and watch the activity in and around the spring.

At the campground, you have access to a shared campfire, picnic tables, grill, composting toilet, sink with running water, shower with hot water, changing room, and some art supplies and games to enjoy during your stay. The host lives on the homestead and is available if you need assistance. Please note: The five tent sites are within the campground circle where no cars are allowed for camper safety. The parking area is within 150 feet (45 meters) of the various sites, and a cart is available to move your gear. Sites are 25–50 feet (8–15 meters) apart. The wildlife that you see is dependent on the season but likely includes deer, sand cranes, and the occasional bald eagles. Pets are welcome. We just ask for the safety of our farm friends that they stay on a leash. A fire pit and picnic table is at each site. We also include animal feed so you can feed the animals through the fence at your leisure. We kindly ask that you only feed them their feed and no other feed to ensure their health. For those needing grocery delivery. Instacart and Shipt delivers to Collins Farm on a regular basis. Campsites are on a small horse farm located just 4 miles from downtown St Augustine and 5 miles from Vilano Beach. Many hiking and water activities within 30 minutes. You select the space you where you wish to set up camp. The entrance off the dirt road is tricky for large rigs or trailers more than 35' may not have easy access. Our sites offer potable water, a shower, picnic tables, a toilet, wifi, trash disposal, space for campfires, and we are pet friendly! We can accommodate tents, RVs, and trailers. Our guests love staying here: "Camping at Gayle’s property was an amazing experience. We shared the field with 3 other campers but there was still plenty of room between sites. Land is flat and has fire pit spaces and BBQ grills. Outdoor shower was appreciated even though we didn’t use it & it was great to have the port-o-potty on site. The best part was getting to see the animals!"

Osceola National Forest is 200,000 acres of exploration with your name on it! In the northeastern Floridian forest, pine flatwoods and cypress-hardwood swamps surround, with diverse wildlife abound. In this leafy paradise lives gopher tortoises (they act like gophers, but are tortoises!), alligators, black bears, and the skunk ape, also known as the “stink ape,” which bears an uncanny resemblance to bigfoot. Areas of recreation include Ocean Pond--a fave place for boaters, skiiers, and campers, and Olustee Beach for swimming, fishing, and picnicking. The park is also open to hunters and fishermen with permits. With so much land to explore in this National Forest, we wouldn’t be surprised if bigfoot was hiding in there!

Welcome to Our Private and Cozy RV Camp! This property features five RV sites—four with 30-amp power and one with 50-amp power. All sites include water hookups, and there's a wastewater dump station and trash cans for convenience. Easy Access and Secure Camping Located directly off Hwy 20, RV sites are at the front of the property, with plenty of room to navigate and clearance from overhead trees. The sites are behind double iron gates on a fenced and secure property. Surrounded by Nature and Adventure The Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail runs along the back of the property, this bike, walking, and horse trail was formerly a railroad and now connects Downtown Gainesville to Hawthorne. Enjoy the historic Lochloosa Creek, with the old train bridge still in use for the trail. Loaner bikes are available for guests to explore the trail. The camp site it's about an hour's bike ride to Gainesville or a 15-minute drive by car. Hawthorne is just six minutes away. Farm Life and Pet-Friendly Atmosphere This is an active Florida Department of Agriculture hemp farm and Homestead. Animals on-site: Outside the fenced camp area, you'll find pet cows and donkeys—all friendly and never raised for food. Feel free to feed and pet them without crossing the fence! Ducks and chickens may wander near the camping area. If you're towing horses, they are welcome to graze within the camping area. If multiple guests have horses, we’ll guide you to a larger pasture. Collins Farm is conveniently located 20 minutes south of Gainesville, right off of 441. OR 30 minutes north of Ocala, off of interstate 75. Quick on and off highway, less than 5 miles from exit 384. Private, peaceful camping is available with full RV hook-up that includes sewer, 50 amp electric with a 30 amp adapter, and water. Your campsite is located right in the heart of our farm. While at your site, you will see and surely be entertained by our goats, sheep, horse, Charlie and Dottie Mae our Kunekune pigs, chickens, Eduardo our turkey, and many more. The wildlife that you see is dependent on the season but likely includes deer, sand cranes, and the occasional bald eagles. Pets are welcome. We just ask for the safety of our farm friends that they stay on a leash. A fire pit and picnic table is at each site. We also include animal feed so you can feed the animals through the fence at your leisure. We kindly ask that you only feed them their feed and no other feed to ensure their health. For those needing grocery delivery. Instacart and Shipt delivers to Collins Farm on a regular basis. The historic town of Micanopy is just a few minutes' drive from Collins Farm and offers antique shopping, restaurants, unique gift shops, and entertainment. Paynes Prarie Preserve State Park is also within a few miles and offers hiking trails and wildlife sightseeing. There is also trails for horseback riding within two miles of Collins Farm.

This was our third trip out here. We usually book one of the larger sites, but this one was perfect for a weekend with my son. Site #2 is simple, quiet, and private. Easy drive up access. Plenty of room for a tent and a solid fire setup. The river access is the highlight. Calm water. Clean shoreline. Great spot for morning coffee and winding down at night. If you are bringing a larger group, book one of the bigger sites on the property. For two people, this one is dialed in. Host communication was clear and consistent as always. We will be back.

Amazing camp spot! Loved the goats! Very well maintained. Appreciated the outhouse. Pick site 1 if you can. It has gravel and direct view of goats and all hook ups are on left side. Site 2 still has great pasture views and goats migrate several times of the day. Thank you Collins Farm! We’ll be back!

Loved camping here! The amenities are good, I’ve definitely seen worse, you have lots of space on your sight, and friendly staff! Keep in mind, you aren’t on a spring, and the closest one is 20 minutes (didn’t mind that at all), and make sure you get directions from google, sent us to the wrong location from directions given on Hipcamp. Would definitely come back to camp again!

The land is perfect for country cottage vibes. Collecting fresh eggs from the Hens every morning was a bonus. The cottage my husband and I rented was adorable, quaint, immaculate, had All kinds of appliances fully equipped and decorated kitchen necessities, toiletries, nick nacks, firewood and the s’mores kit was awesome! I especially enjoyed the birthday welcome note /card and tokens for our stay! Cassandra and Walt came by to greet us for our stay and we’re wonderful hosts. We plan on renting each unit until we make it around the property! What I enjoyed about our stay is it’s close to our home but far enough to feel like a hidden gem . We had a little glamping, camping and rustic tranquil vibes. The outdoor shower was so peaceful after going for a walk /run near the wood trails. We enjoyed every moment of our stay.

We throughly enjoyed our time. The canoes, kayaks and bunk house for the kids were great. Had a slight issue with the water, but the host got it fixed immediately. If you are looking for a spotless 5 stay luxury camping destination, this is not for you but has all the amenities you need. We hope to stay again.

I absolutely loved this spot! It’s so tranquil and beautiful. We brought our small 20 foot camper, and we had no problems with any of the hook ups. This campground is incredibly well kept, and peaceful. The bathrooms, the outdoor showers, and the trash area were very clean. The cabin looks absolutely adorable. Big shoutout to Mr. Tim for letting our five year old son check out his tractor. This one of the nicest spots we’ve found so far and will most definitely be staying here again!

Great place to stay! Linda was very nice and showed me the site beforehand. I had the whole grove of trees to myself and there was even a toilet and sink. Great place to camp. Sheep and chickens around the farm which was neat.

We enjoyed our stay this is really right in the middle of all the springs and if you like to go off road this is definitely the place to be. Our host was accessible at all times very prompt in the replies because we had a freeze while here( concerned for the pipes we had ice hanging off our rig in the morning we woke up to a temperature of 21 and by mid day it was still only 32. So weired for Florida. The only caution as advised by the host the only negative is the pedestal and sewer hook-ups were a good 35 ft from our rig set up. As long as you plan for that you should be good to go.

Weekend Trip to Blackwater Ranch - River Camping

Our small men’s Christian group camped at Blackwater during the freeze of 2026, and it was an amazing experience despite the cold. The large pavilion was a game changer, cutting most of the high winds and giving us a great place to gather. The sunsets were incredible, and the full moon at night paired with the firepit, adult beverages, and campfire stories made it a trip we won’t forget. We’ve camped at hundreds of campgrounds, and Blackwater is easily one of the best in Florida. Clean bathrooms, a great host, and well-maintained grounds made it easy to unwind and unplug from everyday life. We’ll definitely be back each year.
