River, stream, or creek glamping near Newark

Gini and Kelly’s property was an absolute joy to stay in. It was clean, comfortable and stocked with anything we could possibly need. The area was a little forest oasis with mowed trails and a creek for the dogs to play in. We had such a great time and appreciate the attention to detail. 3 nights at Conowingo Creek Campsite

The campsite is beautiful, well groomed, neat, and perfectly organized. Access to everything you need is simple and easily accessible. The walking paths are wide and well maintained, the river is close to the site, with a hammock at the riverside and chairs at the tent site. The campground is private and quiet. Gini could not be more accessible and helpful. Everything was at the site-dishes, pots and pans, cooking utensils, a very nice loo, bed linens, etc. , water was provided to! Great fire pit and grill.

Super cool spot. We enjoyed our 2 days of R + R. Loved using the wood burning stove to cook on top of.

We had the best time throughout our weekend at this site! They’ve truly thought of everything and provide whatever you need, and they mean it when they said all you need to bring is your clothes and food to cook. We usually go on more primitive camping trips and have to bring so much gear with us, and it was so much more relaxing to have everything set up and ready to go when we arrived. The bed was also SO cozy and we slept great. Also their entire property is so meticulously maintained, we were truly so impressed with the space. Our dogs had a blast playing in the creek and running through the paths the whole time too! We can’t wait to come back again in the future.

I decided to spend my birthday here and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Gini was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the start. The site was super clean, well-maintained, and had everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing camping trip. One of the highlights was catching a couple of trout right from the nearby creek and cooking them over the fire stove—such a memorable moment. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature with great hospitality.

Absolutely perfect little site. We are experienced campers and usually do our own tent/grill/chairs and so on, but really enjoyed taking an easier route to set up this time and got to focus more of our time on the best parts of camping! There is some ambient noise from the surrounding farms and roadways, but the overall enjoyment of the site made us forget about it quickly. The easy walk to the creek was a fun way to spend some time, and our dogs loved romping in the water. Our hosts were gracious and communicated perfectly. We are already planning to come back again!

From the moment we arrived, we knew this campsite was something special. The tent was absolutely perfect. It was spacious, clean, and incredibly cozy. The bed was so comfortable, we slept like logs each night under the stars. Some of our favorite memories were made cooking dinner and chatting around the fire with my daughters. There’s something so grounding about sharing stories under a canopy of trees, the flames crackling and laughter echoing into the night. We also loved the peaceful walks to the nearby creek. It was such a beautiful, tranquil spot. It became our little escape, where we could splash, explore, or simply sit and enjoy the serenity. This was a memory-making experience that we’ll carry with us forever. Highly, highly recommend!

Wonderful place. I will be back. It was clean, cozy, and provided candles in which I read into the late night. I sincerely adore the place and many who saw photos are envious.

My family of four adults had a short but wonderful stay at Conowingo Creek! Gini was a terrific host and very accomodating when we had to modify our schedule. Everything about the site was beautifully and thoughtfully considered and executed, and it was very clear that Gini and her husband put a lot of effort into making each visit special. We definitely hope to go back!

Camping at Conowingo Creek is an absolute delight every time! It's my favorite form of self care. Gini and Kelly leave no stone unturned and consistently provide the best experience possible. There's no tent in the woods I would rather camp in :)

What a great little camp site. My dog and I had a lot of fun exploring and hiking around the area. Lots of little perks like a portable charger and heater are available for extra. Gini is a great host. Overall, highly recommend this place.

1 night at Laureleye Farms

I kinda wanna keep it a secret, but I wouldn’t do that to them……because they’re super awesome people. So are their dogs. So is their food and attentiveness! Even delivered coffee with fixings every morning 🥰 The kiddo has already claimed the treehouse with her buddy for the next time. I’ll stick with the glorious glamp site. My kid, the dog, and I, just got back from the most amazing glamping trip we’ve had yet. From the hammock at the creek to the beautifully manicured grass paths that you can walk, barefoot, this place triple exceeded my expectations. All the wood I needed, every utensil and tool imaginable, they’ve got it. We slept incredibly well, and the ‘loo’ is a true outdoor luxury 😂. If you’re a camper, who takes a shovel with you, you’ll get me. Thank you Gini and Kelly for sharing your space! Super cool what you’ve done here!!

Great property and friendly hosts! The chapel was beautiful and cozy and we went on a run on one of the nearby trials. Really fun stay!

It was great camping inside this old and charming hundreds year old cottage. The space is pretty large, and has a wood burning stove that keeps the inside warm. The property is beautiful with rolling hills and meadows, horses, woods, and a beautiful creek right behind the cottage. If you want to get into nature in a historical way this is the place for you. Also the area is filled with small historic towns and feels secluded but not very remote, so you can be in town in 10-15 minutes. Would recommend and would visit again.

Everything was very thoughtfully taken care of from supplies to local recommendations. We will absolutely be back! Such a beautiful spot.

Wow—this campsite exceeded all of my expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a beautifully maintained site. The surroundings were breathtaking—peaceful, private, and immersed in nature. One of the best parts? It was perfect for our dogs! We brought our three pups, and they were welcomed with open arms. The space was safe, with plenty of room for them to explore without worry. It’s not always easy to find truly dog-friendly spots, but this one went above and beyond. What also really set this place apart was the attention to detail and the thoughtful touches from the hosts. You can tell they truly care about creating an unforgettable experience for their guests.
