Our horse farm is located in one of the most rural areas of Southern New Jersey. This land was once occupied by The Lanape Tribe. The adjacent creek was named after Chief Alloway. Artifacts of Native Americans have been found alongside this brackish water creek. This farm was for many years a dairy farm which was passed on for 3 generations until the late 80's.
Our main horse breeds are 5 Arabians followed by 2 Thoroughbreds and 2 miniature ponies. In addition to horses you will see free range rabbits, chickens and beautiful cows.
There are many antique shops in this area which tell the rich History of Southern NJ. Cowen mall and Royal Port are my two favorites.
Another must see experience (at least once) in the area is The Cowtown Rodeo, one of the first and oldest in the country, only 14 minutes drive.
Cool and brand new Brewery opening up soon right across the rd from Cowtown and right next to The best Cowboy outfitter.

HORSES WELCOME! Why not run your horse on the beach, then come to our campsites to relax for the rest of your day. There is a fenced pasture positioned next to the sites so you can see your faithful friend enjoying some grass or hay. We have a new Zinger 29' trailer set up with a bunk room and another bedroom, full kitchen and bathroom. It can easily sleep six people. If you have your own RV, we have a full hook up at the same area. The pasture where your horse stays will also have hay, water and shelter with a run-in. This is a sanctuary for our animals. We have nine animals here, four horses (some minnies) and five donkeys (some minnies). By staying here, you will be helping us to support our animals. We are in Frankford, De which is close to all the beaches and parks. There are many shopping adventures awaiting you, either outlets or upcycle stores. If you just want to relax, there is a small pond out back stocked with bass and turtles. We have 17+ acres but we only use the front five acres and leave the rest for the deer, foxes, eagles, hawks and whatever else shows up. We believe this is Heaven on earth and would love to share it will you. So please come, stay at our farm and relax. We are here year round.

What a great place and a gracious host. With a beautiful pastor and lovley stream, this place was heaven. Horses are literally around you and you are in the field with your tent or buscamper. Sunset and sunrise were amazing here, and you have the place all to yourself. The sites are really private and big. The grass was manicured like a football stadium. I felt bad about driving on it. lol
All kidding aside. This place was heaven. We are going back soon.

I loved camping at the farm! I booked last minute as I decided I needed a rest on my way home from a road trip, and Loredana was so accommodating. It was amazing to wake up with the horses visiting my campsite. Loredana left me fresh chicken eggs, and showed me her beautiful art gallery in the morning after making me an espresso. She’s such a lovely soul, and I know I will be returning in the future. Hopefully with my whole family this time!!

Quiet and peaceful spot all by it's self. Easy to find and back into. There are lots of deer and you will have horses for neighbors :) I stayed a couple nights here as I was hiking near by. There are 3 other Hipcamp sites on the property and even with all of them booked, it was still very quiet. I would stay again if were in the area. Thanks for having us!

Where the Little Touches Make a Big Difference
We stayed recently at Why Not Acres via Hipcamp and it was truly one of the best camping experiences we’ve had. From the moment we arrived, the place exceeded expectations.
What Makes It Special
• Top-notch amenities — They’ve thought of everything to make camping easy and comfortable. Our site came with kindling, firewood, charcoal, and a lighter, plus a fire ring ready to go. Such small touches make a big difference.
• Spotless facilities — The shower rooms and bathrooms were immaculate. Warm water, clean, well-maintained, and plenty of space.
• Friendly, welcoming hosts — Marian (and Mike) were wonderful. Warm, helpful, very responsive, and clearly proud of their land. They greet you like you’re guests in their home, not just customers.
• Peace, space & nature — The property is just stunning. There’s plenty of room, beautiful surroundings. The presence of the horses adds a charming farm-feeling that’s relaxing and fun.
• Convenient, but still quiet — Close enough for trips to the beach and local stores, but far enough removed so you feel like you’re getting away from it all.
As with most rural/farm-type stays, bring your insect repellent.
Why Not Acres is more than just a campsite—it’s a peaceful, well-cared for retreat. The amenities are excellent, the hosts are warm and helpful, and the natural setting is beautiful. If you want comfort and a sense of escape, this is definitely the place. We’ll be back.

We stayed at Why Not Acres for four days and three nights.
it was very nice, the host came and greeted us, told us a little about them and the farm which is a Equine rescue and they have donkeys and horses both normal and minis and across the street is a bison farm.
The shower and bathrooms were outstanding very clean and well supplied.
Each site was spacious came with electric and plenty of firewood.
It was peaceful both night and day.
30 Minutes from Rehoboth Beach 45 Minutes from Lewis, 6 miles from Millsboro which has several gas stations/ convenience stores along with fast food joints and a few nicer restaurants.
Great peaceful place in the middle of nowhere close to a lot.

It was a great time. We had the chance to see many animals. The absolute cutest Goats, Races horses, llamas, and sheep as well. It was a great time. Definitely would go again.

The fire pit with the top grate allowed for easy cooking with a cast iron which was awesome, and there is plenty of firewood. The sites are nice and flat, and the outdoor sink, indoor bathroom and shower were super convenient. The pond was so much fun for fishing - we caught 20+ bass and sunfish. We also got to meet the donkeys/horses which were sweet. The beach is 30 minutes away which was great to visit for the day.
The only downsides we experienced were the campsites are close together without much privacy so choose #4 if you want to be furthest away. All the neighbors we met camping or in an RV were super nice though. And the neighboring chicken farm has a really bad smell when the wind blows from that direction. Other than that we thought the site was great and the positives outweighed any few negatives. We would definitely visit again when wanting to visit the beach and have the nice amenities and go fishing !

Great little campground! We had the place to ourselves and loved it! Site was amazing with the best fire ring I’ve ever seen and built in benches. Mike and Marian have a gem here!

Beautiful and pristine place. I enjoyed my stay. Saw some birds, including a heron, and lots of butterflies and a meteor. The horses and ponies are beautiful. Wood is available for purchase for the fire pit, which of course we utilized. The ground is level for pitching tents (there were 3 of us, 2 tents). The campsite is nice and private and there are trees for shade with a nice view of the water. The port-a-potty is a bit of a walk from Campsite 3, so be prepared for that. Also, nothing can be done about this, but if you are a light sleeper and camping at campsite 3, best to bring earplugs. The campsite is right by a road and vehicles were driving past intermittently throughout the night. I am a light sleeper and woke up a few times. I would have liked to stay another night but we had to leave.

Our stay at Loredana’s farm was amazing! The site was very clean and well maintained. We did a grooming session with Figaro (the horse) and met all of the others as well. It was a terrific experience that we’ll remember forever. Thank you so much!
