From Goodwin, you can access the Air Line State Park Bike/Hiking Path. The meadow we occupy was once the farmers property that I grew up next to at my parents farm house. When he wanted to sell his property he offered it to us for purchase at a fair price if we would not develop more than we needed to live here. We maintained the meadow adjacent to our property and have kept it as an agricultural site. We have had our son develop an edible forest garden and a unique diversified small orchard so we can eat and share healthy organic fruits and vegetables while helping our environment and wildlife and educating others to do the same. It is expensive to live in Newtown but we love our property. We want to teach others to grow food from their land while helping to support us keeping our adjacent property agricultural and undeveloped. Loved this site! A little tricky to navigate to, but quite fun that’s it’s hidden away in the woods with not a traffic sound to be heard. The animals are so cute (fainting goats Marshmallow & Graham Cracker were a huge hit with the toddler), electric hookup is easy and potable water very nearby, and the hosts were so lovely, welcoming us and communicating promptly to make sure we were settled in alright. We got their recs for activities and food in the area, as well- would love to return to Mystic, and when we do, we’ll be staying here again!

We loved this spot in the woods:) Tiffany made sure everything was ready for us upon our arrival. It was a super private and beautiful location. The kids loved visiting the cows in the morning and I especially loved the peace and quiet by the fire with my morning coffee:) We had to check out early due to dangerous wind conditions but hope to return. Thanks for an amazingly peaceful retreat!

We loved staying here! Secluded, quiet, beautiful trees and sweet stone fire pit. The owners are incredibly kind! We have a 20’ trailer and truck and backing in was a bit tricky with trees and rocks but worth it! Very level! We will come back!

Weekend Trip to Harbour House

Nice quiet place for an RV. We have a 31’ RV and had no troubles at all finding the place or parking. We’d definitely try to stay here again in the future.

Dr Ivette’s farm house is cute and very comfortable. She goes over and above to make your stay comfortable. The farm is amazing and interesting. The beach is a few minutes walk. Definitely worth the trip.

Had a lovely time at Mickelberry Forest Gardens. The views are spectacular in a quiet setting among goats and chickens in their pens. Big fire pit in the back field makes for a serene time.
