This Historic National Landmark Brownstone Quarry was believed to be owned by Stone cutter James Stanclift and to have been the first European to live on the eastern bank of the river. In 1686, the town granted him “a parcel of land upon the rocks” in payment for his work as a mason; by 1686, he owned six acres of prime quarry land. We believe this is the same 6 acre lot. Now owned by Darlene and Dean who are preserving and restoring its hidden Beauty. Vintage CAMPING and Picnic area . Quarry View is a unique 334 year old Brownstone quarry that is listed as a Historic National Landmark. Here you will find natural springs that flow from what we call "The wall of water" down to one of our small waterfalls. We also have many artifacts including dinosaur tracks and carved dates in the stones in the walls that go back to 1887. There is a trail that leads back in time to an area with 80 foot brownstone walls left from the quarry operations. Here you can find a rear patio where a musician will enjoy the acoustics unlike any other. We sit 50 feet above the water upon the ledges that overlook the Brownstone Discovery and Adventure park below . (SITES ARE BASED on 2 adults children under 16 free) Contact us before booking with details of your party for help to book.

Dean and Darlene were wonderful hosts who went out of their way to make our stay extra special. The quarry is beautiful and the sites are spaced far enough apart. We loved the drum circle at night and the bonfire! Thanks for everything :)

LOOOOVE IT!!!
Quarryview Historical Park and Campground is a stunning and unique use of a historical brownstone quarry. What Dean and Darlene have done with it is art! They have created stairs, patios, firepits, walkways and waterways with the stone. There is an amazing area with tall stone walls and a large fire pit where events are held. We were fortunate to be there Memorial Day weekend when they had their largest drum circle ever. Truly magical! The setting was quiet and peaceful and we were able to watch the activity in the waterpark across from Quarryview which was good entertainment. Not only is the place awesome, but so are Dean and Darlene. They are friendly and helpful. Whether it's firewood, water, portable toilet, restaurant recommendations or a drum they are happy to provide whatever they can. The price is higher than typical camping, but this is not your typical location either. We highly recommend Quarryview and hope to return again soon!

Beautiful site overlooking water!!
What an absolute gem of a property! Dean and Darlene have done a wonderful job transforming the area into a peaceful spot for relaxation, and go out of their way to be friendly and ensure you’re comfortable. My site had a beautiful view, was perfectly clean, and it’s own pristine porta-potty. We will go back in a heartbeat!

We had a really nice time at the quarry. Easy to check in, not crowded and hosts were super nice and friendly. Gorgeous view of the quarry when we woke in the morning! Would have loved to have more time to use the camp fire..next time!

My husband and I spent our 11th wedding anniversary together here at Quarry View and it was amazing. Very peaceful atmosphere with beautiful views. The owners are so nice and welcoming taking the time to share their stories of the camp with us and how it came to be. We were very intrigued by the rich history of the area and equally impressed by the desire to both share their knowledge as well as maintain as much of the original landscape where possible. Our night was topped of with a campfire provided, in which we joined other campers and exchanged stories and experiences further bringing together both the camping culture and sense of community that make both Dean, Darlene and Quarry View a truly unique and pleasurable experience. Can’t wait to find the time to join them again and participate in many of their upcoming events.
