When the farm house was built in 1909, the cabin was already here. We bought the weed patch with the intention of starting a flower farm. It was a cattle feed lot years ago and the soil should be very fertile. We'll use the composted manure in the Spring.

We have alfalfa and corn to the north and grasslands to the south. Outhouse/port-o-potty is available. The train adds to the country feel. Irrigation ditch runs at least two days a week. Our chickens are friendly and used to dogs. Site #1 is better for small vehicles and tent camping. It is more protected. Site #2 is better for large RVs and trailers.

Andy, the host, was so kind to my boyfriend and I. The sites are so nice and not right on top of each other which is not typical for camping so that was very appreciated! You can tell that Andy put a lot of thought into thinking about others with the dog park, the shade provided for the site, the lights at night, and the porta potty. We were there for a short time before an early flight in the morning, so we didn’t use the amenities, but it had a table and chairs, outhouse, and access to water. We needed a place to test some new gear, and this spot has a nice small town, Brush, just minutes away. The location is a backyard of a small ranch with chickens and very nice shade. Fair warning, there are trains passing through, the tracks are approx 1250 feet from the site. The host is as nice as they come, very accommodating and the area itself has virtually no traffic, but the freeway is within hearing distance as it runs parallel to the train. If you're looking for something centralized in Northeast Colorado, this is an excellent choice.
Also, a curious yellow dog may wander nearby, just checking on you. He's friendly and keeps his distance, so nothing to be alarmed about. He's probably the neighborhood watch.

This was a great spot for the tail end of our trip as it was close/convenient for a quick morning drive to the airport! Andy was super kind and very responsive and helpful in getting us to the correct spot. He reached out in advance about our ETA and was willing to accommodate a late check in, which we didn’t end up needing, but the flexibility is appreciated! The campsite and portapotty was in pristine condition. The site included a patio table/chairs and little lights that stayed on through the night.
