Camp site's 5 and 6 are secluded. They would be best for someone who is self contained, as they don’t have an outhouse nearby. Sites 7 8 9 have some seclusion. Site's 10 11 12 13 14 15 are perfect for families, where you can all be together but separate. We are a work in progress but we will try to accommodate anything you may need. Please talk to us! We have firewood $7.00 per bag delivered to your campsite. Do not bring your own firewood. We don’t want more pine beetles and noxious weeds. Welcome to our property! This is a very scenic property, that is rich with history. The Virginia Dale Stage Station is about three miles away and the overland trail has several branches going through here. We are also a fifth generation cattle ranch. We are in Wyoming, on Highway 287 between Fort Collins, CO. and Laramie, Wyoming. We are still building out our property with a General store, and Western Themed Town coming soon. We have campsites for RV’s or Tents. We have an amazing 1000 acres to have your own hiking, wildlife, birdwatching, adventure. We have great hiking and wildlife viewing, marmots, pronghorn, antelope, deer, elk, and an occasional moose. Birds of every feather gather here so bring your binoculars. Hikes include balancing boulders and rock formations. Wonderful stargazing, our stars are so bright it seems like you can reach up and touch them. We are a working ranch and do have livestock. Don’t mess with the bull!Firewood, for $7.00 per bag delivered to your campsite. The bags make a great trash bag when empty! Do not bring your own firewood, as we don’t want more pine beetles and noxious weeds. Due to the high volume of people coming in separate vehicles, after two vehicles per site, its $10.00 per vehicle extra per night. We have portable outhouses available.

We are located 4 miles from Routt National Forest. You'll arrive at the ranch headquarters and we will either take you to the sheep wagon or give you directions to it. The sheep wagon is nestled in an Aspen grove (on 56 acres) with a creek just 12 feet away. From there, you are 1/4 mile away from the national forest and the wilderness. There are thousands of acres to explore, either by hiking , biking or horseback riding. You are also just minutes away from great trout fishing lakes and streams. While here ask about ranch tours and visiting with our sheep, horses, cows and chickens! There will be cattle or sheep on the property with the sheep wagon. Horse ranch and nature conservation area. We have a pond you can float in and horses and mules who live here, as well as elk and pronghorn, and a bear. Dogs are welcome! We love dogs! Off leash is fine as long as they don’t chase the horses (and keep in mind that the mules do chase dogs). There is a gas firepit and a gas grill, sitting areas, a port a potty. There is a flat graded area for tents with a picnic table. We ask that there are no fires except for gas (we are still traumatized by the East Troublesome Fire that was 200,000 plus acres. We did not burn here and we’d like to keep it that way. We also ask that there is no loud music because this is the wild animals’ home first, and the antelope and elk have new babies. We are very close to Granby for the grocery store, restaurants, and the Granby Flying Heels Rodeo. We are nearby to the west entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, Grand Lake, Hot Sulfur Springs Resort, Lake Granby and Fraser/Winter Park and all that Grand County Colorado has to offer. Also close by is Granby Ranch for downhill mountain biking and golf. We are about two hours from Denver. We ended up staying at site 4 after the owner's recommendation and it was a nice big site with a firepit, a great view of the mountains, and lots of rocks/boulders for kids to explore. We did hear and could see the highway but we weren't right on top of it - need to go to sites 6 and on to avoid it. Had one issue with dogs barking at night that the owner replied to and is working on it. No picnic table but we always bring a portable one so there was no issue for us. The site fit a 16' camper as well as a camper van still with plenty of room for privacy for each camper. Would stay again.

Campsite was beautiful and peaceful. Plenty of space with a 27ft trailer and 14 and 15 were perfect with family renting the one of sites as well. I would absolutely recommend this place to those looking for a relaxing getaway. Owners were accommodating as well. Thank you for a great stay. Our 2 year also made new dog friends. Haha He lived the guardian dogs. Thank you again!

This was truly an unbeatable campground for a large group! Beautiful scenery, spacious and private, lots of room for kids to explore and roam. We will absolutely be back.
My only complaint is that the two dogs that live on the property (which were super friendly and the kids loved playing with) stole every piece of food from the picnic tables the moment we turned our backs, and more problematic was they came through at night and took every shoe and glove they could find around the tent sites and destroyed 5 or 6 pairs.

We loved tent-camping at this site. Our dogs especially loved exploring and meeting one of the friendly guardian dogs on property. Lots of cool rock formations. The cleanest portapotty I've ever been in was a quick walk up the road. A little more road noise from 287 than one would like when "getting away from it all," but nothing too bad and makes for an easy 2hr trip from Denver!

Our family had a delightful time camping here. Robert met us at the gate and graciously took us to our site to help us settle in. We loved exploring the land, climbing boulders, and watching epic sunsets. The roaming animals were a nice surprise -- we woke up to horses and a donkey outside our tent one morning, creating a lot of joy for our daughters. When our car battery wouldn't start, Robert jumped to the rescue to help us out.
We had a lot of unforgettable memories staying here, and we look forward to returning soon.

What a treat this weekend! The camp sites are some of our favorites with plenty of space to roam and play without bumping into your neighbors. The friendly farm dogs would come check on you from time to time and the horses and donkey would roam and were very friendly. The views were incredible. There is a little self-serve store with ground beef, fruits, veggies and snacks from the farm. We couldn't have been happier with this decision.

Site 8 is great - up an incline with some tree cover and wind breaks. There is a flat / level area and another spot closer to the fire ring where we used our blocks to level our Sprinter. Great views and the sounds of running hooves as deer crossed the property. Great visit!

Overall, we had a great experience at this hipcamp! Check-in and locating the campsite was easy. The directions were accurate. I wish there were bathrooms located closer to each campsite, as the portapotty was a long walk. Also, I thought there were picnic tables at each site? I could've just misread the listing. But a table would've been nice!

Also there are horses, cows, and a donkey to keep you company.

My partner and I booked super last minute and the hosts were very accommodating of that. We had a very quiet and peaceful night and spent the night with the company of some cattle a little ways away. Plus we had the delight of meeting one of the working dogs on her shift, which was the just sweetest surprise.
We will definitely be back!
