There are easy trails on property along the lush stream (the original riverbed of the Middle Saint Vrain Stream), fishing or swimming in the pond (no lifeguard on duty), or challenging trails into Roosevelt National Forest from the property. (Ask Hiker Dot for guidance.) Several National Forest access points, where you can enjoy peaceful walks away from crowds, are a short drive.
New this year Bliss Camp is adding a 12' x 14' Glamping Tent Cabin.
Bliss Canyon is a spur off of breathtaking, picturesque South Saint Vrain Canyon. Stroll on over to the South or Middle for renowned fly fishing. For climbers, there are over 50 climbs in South Saint Vrain Canyon!
Dark Skies:
If you like to watch the stars and meteor showers, Bliss Canyon is blessed with dark skies with little light from the plains. Bring your telescopes and explore the Universe.
Rocky Mountain National Park, one of the five Crown Jewels of the National Park Service, is nearby. The closest trailhead in RMNP is 10 miles, the next trailhead at Wild Basin entrance to the park is 13 miles, and the Beaver Meadows entrance (main entrance) is 36 miles. Rocky Mountain National Park has breathtaking drives, easy strolls with interpretive signs, and 360 miles of trails. (Advance reservation required for entry 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for main park, or 5:00 am to 6:00 pm for Bear Lake corridor.)
Indian Peaks Wilderness also has several nearby access points and trailheads. Ask Dot for details.
The charming town of Lyons is 20 minutes away with coffee shops, restaurants, bars, lots of great live music, and quaint shops. Also, Spirit Hound Distillery received the award for the #1, Best Whiskey in the World in 2022, hmmm, it might be worth a tasting!
Due to our popularity reservations often fill up quickly. We suggest you make your reservations in advance especially if you have a group to rent the entire camp. At times there are last minute cancelations which allows for last minute openings.

Treehouse Magic is built around PAL an over 80+-year-old Ponderosa Pine.
This wonderful space is magical in every way! Only 300 sq. feet with an almost 1100 sq. foot deck, including the covered gnome room. The upstairs bedroom is a full mattress (14" gel mattress). There is also a fold-out couch to sleep 1. The main level couch will fold down and become another bed platform. We provide a CordaRoys transformable chair, that unzips and becomes the bed topper (plus extra sheets, blankets and pillows). Some of the kid guests like to sleep in the Gnome room in the "pop-up" tent and cots (during the Summer months). We provide a "smart movie projector" with built-in ROKU, for a movie night...The outdoor kitchen includes a PitBoss pellet smoker/grill, and propane griddle. The kitchen has a 2-burner gas stove and a small refrigerator. The bathroom has a Nature's Head composting toilet... (a little tutorial is needed) a sink and a trough step-in tub/shower with rain head. Wifi- Roku on inside TV as well or just the calm of beautiful nature!
Please note: This is a real treehouse!! Running water will be turned off from Nov-April (except for warm days and we can turn on for a short time). We will be sure you have plenty of potable water for drinking and using.

My daughter and I stayed here for a long weekend. It was the perfect space for us. Quaint, but plenty of room for us to relax, cook, sleep, and enjoy. Our host, Brooke, is exceptional at her job. She is welcoming and thoughtful. Also, she responds to messages immediately. I would certainly stay here again for those reasons. In addition, the location is close to all the spots we wanted to visit, such as Red Rocks, Cherry Creek, downtown, Golden, Soda Lake, horseback riding places, etc. We loved our weekend and this little travel trailer. We had a really lovely time staying here. My husband and I booked a one night stay with our two dogs to get out of the city and unwind. We are big animal lovers and it was such a special experience to see all the happy horses, mules, and donkeys on the farm. Many came over to say hello when we walked by! We also saw a group of cows across the way that were very cute, and many types of birds, deer, wild turkeys, and even an elk! We kept our distance of course, but it felt like every time we looked around there was a new critter to watch. The tent was very nice and had wonderful amenities that made the experience stress-free. We especially liked the electric cooler. And it was nice to be able to have a fan at night. We felt very welcome and would definitely like to return.

Weekend Trip to Private 120-Acre Horse Sanctuary
I spent three June nights in this comfortable, well-appointed glamping tent with a wonderful tea selection. Candice and George are lovely hosts who thought of everything and brought me so many delightful treats. I didn't do much cooking but I could have, the site was so well equipped. I was too busy visiting animals to cook. I tacked an hour long donkey experience onto my stay and made the rounds each night, meeting dozens of horses and mules and donkeys. Heavenly, the donks are my favorites. I also saw a few pronghorn including a baby, a vole, reptiles, and a flock of wild turkeys roosting in the trees nearby (surprisingly not very noisy at night). I counted at least ten bird species. On a full moon night, I heard coyotes and great horned owl (the tent had earplugs, plenty of blankets and pillows and a nice bed so I still slept well). And I met some wonderful volunteers and their dogs.
There's lots to do within an hour's drive, especially if you like food and physical activity. I caught a free outdoor yoga class, farmer's market, zipline adventure park, lots of good food in Castle Rock and Parker, a serene forested hike in Larkspur. I also spent a lot of time at the campsite in the hammock, catching up on my reading. Don't miss this spot, it's such a gem with kind people, incredible animals and beautiful nature.

Weekend Trip to Peak Pop Up Glamping
I had the best time! I stayed with a couple of my friends and we had the chance to use the sauna on site too which was a lot of fun.
The inside of the tents are so pretty and super comfy. Plenty of room for our group of 3. The shower on site and lounge was also super convenient for cooking. I would stay again. The hosts were super friendly and accomodating

It's a wonderful place to stay! Beautiful setting, everything you need, clean. We were here during a storm and the rain was lovely on the tent (and we were toasty dry inside). Especially loved all the birds in the morning and sweet farm animals.

2 nights at Rocky Mountain Glamping
This was a very fun and unique camping site. The full kitchen is very helpful. We loved all the games that were around. The site itself is gorgeous with a stream running through and ponds. Having a propane fire was nice because it was one less thing we had to worry about. The covered wagons having lights was really nice. Me and my husband and my six-year-old son stayed in one wagon. All around it was a very enjoyable stay. This is definitely GLAM-ping!

My toddler and I stayed in the Stargazer, and it was such a thoughtful, rustic experience. The hosts call their ranch "bare bones", which feels more humble than accurate--everything is simple, but functional, clean, and clearly arranged with intention. There are small personal touches throughout that make the space feel cared for.
The Stargazer sits a bit farther back on the property, so it felt like our own little pocket of space. Inside, there's a mattress that functions as a sleeping pad, and it made a HUGE difference in comfort. Between the stargazing panel, quiet scenery, and decorative touches, the frame had tons of personality without feeling cluttered. The jute rug is cute but also sheds a lot, so just a heads up.
The outdoor shower surprised me in the best way: full privacy, instant hot water, extra soap, and the novelty of rinsing off outside in warm weather! The porta potty is by the main gate, which may matter to some guests, but was extremely clean and paired with a self-pumping sink (which my toddler loved).
The ranch itself is beautiful--a mix of open fields, trees, wildlife, and a good mix of good mix of sun and shade. Some paths are uneven or slightly overgrown, but it honestly adds to the natural setting.
Communication from the hosts was also excellent. They provided detailed instructions and videos ahead of time, so arrival and set up was easy. Overall this is a great stay for anyone who appreciates a handcrafted, outdoors-focused experience.

We enjoyed our stay - comfortable beds, hot shower, nice kitchen area, fire pit. Dot even brought us a heater when the temperature dropped. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a way to keep food cold - there's no refrigerator and we didn't bring a cooler, so we ended up eating out a lot.

Amazing! That sums it up in one word. The location is awesome, and is a short walk (or drive) to Carter Lake. The grounds are very clean and safe. The owners are fantastic and made me feel right at home. The general store offers a variety of items that are NOT overpriced. Plenty of wildlife in the area and tons of space to walk or get out and about. We will for sure be back!!!

We loved camping with Dot and Byron. The instructions and directions were clear, and Dot was there to welcome us as soon as we pulled in! We wish we had planned our stay for more than 2 nights to enjoy the property even more. It’s so comfortable and the property is well thought out. Cute little nested spot. Neighboring houses, also additional sites where others are staying. So, if you are looking for more or complete solitude choose the A-frame furthest from house. Very quiet community. Good experience with access to outdoor shower and toilet area.
