We could not have asked for a better place to stay!
The RV spot is tucked behind Zach’s house beside a little creek, with electricity and a peaceful, private feel. It was the perfect home base for us. It is only about 20 minutes from Denver, minutes from the Colorado School of Mines and its fantastic museum, and there are dump stations and a Camping World store very close by. And if you want an amazing meal, El Tequileño Family Mexican Restaurant is just minutes away. Great food and enormous portions!
But what really makes this place special is Zach. He is a kind and genuine person. He gave us our privacy, never once made us feel like we were in his way, and went out of his way to accommodate us. You really could not ask for a better host.
And then there are the animals. Mama the dog kept her space at first, but once she realized we are dog people we made great friends. We would have gladly had more visits from her. Helen the chicken is vision impaired, but seemed perfectly content in her little world sitting under her favorite tree during the day.
We left knowing we will be back. We come to the area every year for the fossil shows, and we have found our place to stay. If you are considering booking this spot, do it. You will be very glad you did.

Perfect spot if you’re visiting Denver or Red Rocks. Zach is great and goes above to make you feel comfortable. Do know that yes, its location is directly next to the highway. Even with earplugs, I struggled to sleep. My partner had zero issues sleeping here. Outside of that, everything was great though.

Zach's place gives great access to amenities on the Front Range. Zach is very knowledgeable and was able to help me get to where I wanted to go.
Zack was awesome! Super nice, gave us a ride to our show! Even filled the air in our tire when he noticed it was low. Would recommend 100% we will be back!

Our group loved this place we tent camped and Zach was a great host. He was kind and super accomadating. Only 7 minutes from Red Rocks 10/10 would recommend

Great Location and Sweet Host
Zach has a lot of space available for a tent camper and it's in a wonderful location central to food and shopping on top of being close to Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Our host is super sweet and helpful and has the cutest animal companions.
Right next to the highway, but a little bit of music or a nice show drowns out the noise ^-^
We were grateful that Zach accepts last minute requests because we were in a bind. The spot is in a neighborhood at the end of the road that backs up to highway 40. At first we were concerned pulling forward into the drive but there was a nice big place to pull through and then back into a great space with water and electric hookups. We also had a trash can (which not other owners have not always provided.) It was super dark at night for a great night's sleep! There was some road noise but never heard it once we went to bed. Zach was friendly, helpful in backing in our trailer, and saw us out in the morning. We are hoping to stay here again next weekend! That is how much we loved this convenient Hipcamp spot!

hose! The gravel spot was pretty level and his dog is very welcoming. And 20 minute drive to Red Rocks!! Very convenient location.

Awesome experience! Zach made us feel welcomed right away! Allowed us to use his shower and bathroom. We had technical difficulties but he made it super easy to work around! We appreciated him! Deff will be back.

Kilmer RV Camp - W/hook-ups
Super helpful and communicative. Was great hookup for a Class C RV.
Single unit spot in his backyard. Shady spot with water and electric hook ups that worked fine. Had a leak on his hose but he helped and changed it out. Didn’t have to get my cords or hoses out at all. Zach is very friendly and helpful. Opened the back of his house for me to use the bathroom which was nice. The location was perfect for me. I had several things to do downtown and it was only 20 mins drive from his place. I70 entrance is right around the block and the uhaul is near the entrance so I also topped up the propane for a great price. Its near the Xway but it wasn’t noisy and I slept very well. Would go back there if i ever return with the van.
