My family and I built up this peice of property in the summer of 2016, we purchased it as land only and have done everything you will find here today! My husband and I built the barn and all structures! The house was the last thing to get finished, we moved in March of 2020. We raise Cattle and Bernedoodle dogs. And also enjoy training horses and competing with the Mustang Heritage Foundation. If you walk around you will see many American Mustangs! You will be surrounded by sounds of the farm while being near local attractions, dining, and shopping. Property is conveniently located near Loveland, Johnstown, Berthoud, Fort Collins, and Greeley. Less than 15 minutes from The Ranch events center (and Blue Arena) which hosts the Larimer County Fair, concerts, sporting events, and more. The property was extremely beautiful and Shannon was very kind, friendly and accommodating. The wagon was charming and the decor was very inviting. There was even a friendly farm cat that came and said hello to us! The trip felt magical overall. Wonderful hosts, wonderful scenery, and very welcoming.

Weekend Trip to Hart Family Farm

We had such a wonderful greeting from Sara’s grazing sheep, her dog Yogi and her cat Salty. It took only minutes for my son to join her daughter on the family’s swing-set. We had intended to “glamp” somewhere close to Estes Park, and the Burro fit the bill! The tiny space heater made the camper cozy on the cold nights, and we had access to her walk-in basement restroom and shower (even if we opted not to shower because we like to “rough it” on camping trips). After a day of hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park, my 8-year-old could not wait to “get back to the farm”, and spend time with all the animals. Sara’s daughter Rose even treated my son to a riding lesson on a pony for a very reasonable price. We also enjoyed the nearby creek just at the back of her property and an excellent recommendation to a nearby park. Additional perk is that my little loved to pet the animals in the morning while I was getting breakfast or dinner ready. Always something to do at this beautiful location!

Staying at Burro on Sara’s property was amazing. Having opportunity for shower in the house and staying in the privacy of the backyard was a great combination for my wife and me. Camper was clean, just enough for two of us on a great location. Close to the main road, yet secluded. Short drive to the restaurants, grocery shops, coffee shops, bakery and trails. Sara was a great host and we would stay at her place again anytime. Excellent communication.

I loved the location and landscape views I had while camping at Sara's. It was private but there were other people and animals around. I made friends with a handsome orange kitty while there and love watching the chickens free ranging around the grounds. Nice stay. Thank you.

Absolutely loved our stay on the farm!! Everything we could’ve needed was provided and it was a very peaceful weekend getaway. Loved all the visits from the chickens and cats!!

Tent ends can be opened up for more airflow and a true sense of camping in comfort. Allows for up to 6 people to sleep comfortably and still use the dining area table.

What a beautiful area of the country. It was a lot of fun to spend a little time here with my dog who loves cows, and got to hang out with the chickens and horses at the ranch. Shannon was super friendly and accommodating. We had a lovely time and wow, the sunset was amazing!
