Weekend Trip to The Snow Shack at Columbine Creek

This place was great! Humans and animals loved it. One side of the house is a little closer to the neighbor than expected, so dogs definitely had to be on leash since they had a semi free roaming dog as well. But the other side of the house felt secluded and had some great hanging spots. The little creek and walkways around the property were adorable. Water was clear as could be. Kitchen had everything needed, beds were super comfy, and lots of things to do nearby! Love the area overall! Thanks for being super communicative Anthony and keeping the place clean and in good working order! Would def recommend staying here!

Weekend Trip to The Fisherman's Cabin

Our third time staying here....great little spot to escape for a weekend. Close to lots of gorgeous views, Lake Wellington, Bailey, CO, the Platte River

2 nights at The Snow Shack at Columbine Creek

We loved the cabin was really nice and big we loved the space was a great nature spot to help unplug from the world and the problems of it. We traveled with are 2 dogs who love have a lot of zoomy energy and they were so good and the space is very open in lay out they didn't have problems playing inside or out without fear of them breaking anything and are one is a big lab we had to look around because some places not letting big dogs stay but this cabin gave us everything we needed home away from home we loved cooking in this kitchen we had a overall blast. The host was so helpful with all are little hiccups we had and was overall so helpful with everything. I definitely am going to recommend this place to anyone that ask my husband and I had so much fun we were so sad when we had to leave.

2 nights at The Fisherman's Cabin

Simon’s fishermen cabin is adorable! It is perfectly quaint and provides a nice propane fueled heater for the cold in the winter. It was beautiful and also private. It was clean inside the cabin although the dishes/pans were not entirely cleaned. The hammocks from the photos looked like they had been torn down and the outside of the cabin could’ve been tidied up more. My partner and I did have a wonderful stay and enjoyed the card games that were provided as well.

3 nights at The Fisherman's Cabin

Perfect little spot for a getaway! Quiet and peaceful with great mountain views and river noises. Cute cabin and outhouse. I was able to spend lots of time reading and enjoying nature in the provided hammocks. It was also very easy to cook and prep meals, and the cabin heater definitely came in handy during my mid-December stay. I could see all the neighbors but not hear any which was nice - the sweet neighbor pup Coco came to say hi at one point though! The only downsides for me were not having a lock inside the cabin, and some of the kitchenware was dirty. I have already recommended this cabin to friends and would definitely come back sometime for another getaway to recharge 😊

We provide the platform for your tent as well as access to all of our lodge's amenities; front desk, lobby, bar & beer garden, fire pits, grills, bathrooms, shower, outdoor common areas, free wifi, etc. Our guests love us too! The tent platforms were easy to get to and spaced far enough apart for privacy and generally a nice break from setting up a tent on a gravel pad. Welcome to Camp Wilder! We are an off-the-beaten-path camp offering peace and solitude. The cabin is very special to my family and me. It was passed down as a mining claim from my grandmother who founded it in the '60s. The vision for the land was simply perfect. A small 10 x 10 cabin with the whole mountain to explore and whoever they wished to bring with them. The town of Nederland is 10 minutes down the road where you can fish at Baker Reservoir. Lots of fun little stores in town to keep the family busy. Wildlife is everywhere up by the cabin/campsite, always remember don't leave food lying around with lots of great things to look for around the magical town of Nederland. The cabin sleeps up to 8 with the futon downstairs being very comfortable and 3" foam upstairs in the loft for more sleeping area. Bring your sleeping bags to stay cozy at night. There are lanterns inside to light up your night with a wood stove to keep you warm at night. The ground around it is sloped so you may have a hard time setting up any tents around the cabin. The grocery store is in Nederland where you can buy food, Coleman green propane bottles, gallon jugs of water and wood. There is a 3 burner Coleman, stove to cook on with limited pots & pans as well as silverware. Road disclaimer, the road to the cabin is one lane dirt road. The drive up to the cabin is pretty good but the turn onto the single dirt road to the cabin has a slight dip, if you have a low-clearance car it may bottom out when you are turning so be careful. No Trailers. They will not be able to turn around once there. Recommend vehicles with AWD. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles. Park on the left. Hike down to the cabin between yellow stakes. We are @ 10,000 feet and it is a slight hike to the cabin. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles When leaving please make sure both door locks are locked, put the key in the lock box and mix the code for the next camper.
