The back part of the property was a stop point for the stage line between Oroville and Bangor during the 1880, Then gold was discovered on the property. There were multiple Gold claims on this property. The Old rock pilings are still there to explore. It is a favorite spot for finding Jasper, some Agates and quartz. Campers are welcome year-round to this tent site on the old Gold Claim of our 20-acre family farm! Drive right up to this fun-filled, family-friendly campsite, easily accessible by cars and SUVs alike - though 4WD is helpful during the rainy season. This site features two seasonal streams that cross on the property, as well as bushes full of ripe blackberries - if you catch them at the right time, help yourself. gorgeous spot and gorgeous tub. thank you andrea! it’s was extremely private and the tub leveled up our experience, now it will feel hard to go camping without one! :P if you’re going in the fall or winter, do NOT skip out on the heater add on. i figured since it was an insulated yurt we would be fine, but we were extremely cold when going to bed! luckily, the water was nice and hot all night in the tub, which was incredible. hope to come back here one day.

Beautiful and peaceful campsite, particularly the green yurt. Extremely serene forest, and beautiful trees and wildlife. The yurt and tub were clean and cozy, and the bathroom was perfectly stocked.

We had a fantastic time at Andrea's place! It was a hot day, but the surrounding trees provided plenty of shade, keeping things cool and comfortable. We loved watching the stars at night and catching the sunrise in the morning. The absolute highlight was the relaxing hot soaking tub—it was perfect! Just a heads-up, as other guests have mentioned, there are mosquitos, so be sure to bring bug spray. Also, make sure you follow the directions Andrea provides; they are clear but essential for not getting lost. We highly recommend a four-wheel-drive vehicle for the trip.

Weekend Trip to Shangri-La

A bath in the woods with a view? Who would have thought! Definitely the highlight of our yurt camping experience. Even my 19 year old son said it was his favorite part. I loved the vibe of the yurt. We usually rough it so I totally felt spoiled crawling in to my real bed at the end of the day. And my daughter said tea on the bench watching the sun rise over the mountains was her highlight. (The red yurt slept three adults easily, could have done 2 more if we wanted.)

We were in the rv first time we stayed and the cottage the second time. Loved them both. Clean, comfy, ac worked amazing! Off the beaten path, which we really liked! Both had everything you might need for a great stay. Will stay again when passing through! Rv was a bit too short for my husband (he’s 6’6”).

I would not recommend booking with this particular place. Unfortunately, in an honest mistake I booked the day for a day earlier than the actual booking. When I reached out to the host to get support, not only was he rude and uncaring, he would not offer any kind of partial refund or credit for the appropriate day that we were actually supposed to have booked it.. I requested a booking change and partial refund. Then, when I rebooked it for a second time, And requested a refund for the original night he refused because he states that he had to pay for cleaning. Well that’s impossible because we were never there. Then he offered to give us three bottles of wine in exchange, not only do we not drink, but that is an insult to us. When I expressed my frustration kindly, and asked for some movement or help, he stated he would not and that he helped I understood. So then I said OK then just cancel the booking for tonight as well because we don’t want to stay somewhere where we are treated like this. He said we are welcome to cancel it, but he does not accept any refunds. Mind you it had been only about a 20 minute conversation, so now he has taken our money for two nights with absolutely no services given and no kindness in return. Listen, I understand that he could’ve had a booking for the original night and that he may have lost out on some money. But that is probably unlikely given that I booked it last minute. What I am looking for is just some compromise. None. Swindler!!

I absolutely loved this spot! Me and my four girlfriends had a blast. I couldn’t believe the view just outside the Yurt. Had my morning coffee at that viewpoint each morning during my stay. There is also a short hike to a BEAUTIFUL meadow! The trail to this meadow begins just steps away from the yurt.

Great glamping experience. The ride up is a bit rough, but the reward is total seclusion. We were the only guests, and even if there had been others, they would have been out of sight. The yurt was great, and the soaking tub amazing. A very unique experience. I would recommend staying two nights in a row for a full day of calm and disconnect. We stayed one night, and it felt too short.

We had an amazing time at the red yurt this MLK weekend. The view from the site was breathtaking. The yurt was well equipped and the bed was super comfortable. We rented the portable heater and it saved us because of how cold it was. Only downside, we ran out of propane early the second morning but that was primarily because we had to run it earlier than expected. We will definitely be back during the warmer months. Andrea came by to say hi and make sure we were good to go. Highly encourage you to have AWD vehicle for the dirt road to the site. The tub was phenomenal!!!

Great little spot. Right next to a tiny home & a cabin. Very quiet when no one else was there. RV was a great size & was stocked with all the comforts of home. Loved being able to have my furballs join me!!! They were very comfy. Would stay again.
