Weekend Trip to The Swimming Hole On Red Cap Creek

We ended up being the only campers on an early November day, so Wayne graciously let us choose whichever site we liked. We pitched our tent right by the communal fire pit and picnic tables instead of a designated site. The ground was easy to drive stakes into, and Wayne even offered more substantial stakes in case they were needed. His sweet dog (Cowboy) and horse (Coco) paid some very welcome visits. They're sneaky for treats, so watch your back! ;) A hose is nearby that supplies filtered fresh spring water, and the toilet room is very convenient. The hot showers were down due to some construction, but we enjoyed our stay a lot! We would recommend this place as a nice getaway, or as a stop on your way to the redwoods or Eureka (we did both).

We had a fabulous experience at Wendy and John's. The campsite was perfect under a full moon. We really appreciated the sparkling clean bathroom and shower. The dinner was amazing- a 5 course meal that rivaled any fine dining restaurant we ever experienced! Wendy and John are fantastic hosts in every respect. We loved our stay here!! The land is absolutely gorgeous, being right in the Redwoods and literally around the corner from the Trees of Mystery. The hosts, Patrick and Maya, were the sweetest humans and so much fun to chat with! They have a stocked camp store, a game room with tons of books, and ping pong and such, and a ton of cool Redwood trees and tree stumps scattered throughout the camp. Our tent site, #16, was just inside the forest but felt very private on the other side of the trees from the RVs. We are really looking forward to paying them another visit!

Wendy and John are the best! The land is simply gorgeous and even though you're just a few minutes from town you really feel like you've gotten away. The creek provides a lovely background, free firewood is such a treat and the bathroom/showers make it so luxurious. We can't wait to go back!

Weekend Trip to Redwood Family Camp

It was the coziest cabin and friendliest people. The showers are nice and hot and water pressure is great.The weather got cold unexpectedly, and I was offered a heater for my little cabin. They have trash disposal, and a more than reasonably priced laundromat.

I enjoyed RV camping on Patti's land. It was a full service pull through site. Super quiet and miles away from the Highway 101. If you enjoy quiet evenings, with very minimal cell or wifi connection then this is the place for you!

Mystic campground was wonderful! The camp hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. The campground was quiet and the bathrooms were really clean. The dishwashing station was heaven. If we come back to this area we will definitely stay here again!

Lovely large field. Great shower and bathroom. We really enjoyed the fruit crumble we ordered in advance. Our dog loved the grassy field and got along well with the resident dog. Ferndale was movie perfect. Super coffee shop and some good restaurant options. Beach was close by for a long walk. 10 out of ten.

Truly such an amazing experience! Everything about the place and campsite was incredible. Such an amazing getaway, the scenery was beautiful. Also, very family friendly and everything was easily accessible! Will definitely plan a trip here in the future :))
