This was the most fun quick getaway for our families! Exactly as described, beautifully maintained property, incredible hosts. High end blankets and towels, very clean dry flush toilet, and so many cozy seating options. My kids loved the welcome shed, and there were too many thoughtful personal touches to mention. The location is incredible. we explored grass Valley and Nevada city, both had a great selection of well appointed shops and restaurants and were less than a 15 minute drive from the property. We can’t wait to come back in the summer!

David's yurt is beautiful and has absolutely everything you need for a very comfortable glamping experience! The land is picturesque and David is a very attentive and kind host. I traveled with a friend and the yurt was plenty big for both of us - even with a couple of very rainy days we felt like we had plenty of space, and my friend was happy to report that the blow up mattress was very comfortable. The yurt.bathroom is exactly as shown in the photos. Comfy bed with clean sheets, reliable wi-fi, good circulation and cooling, good kitchen facilities for light cooking, mini speaker to pair with, great shower, nice seating areas inside and outside the yurt, easy to locate, lockbox made entry/exit smooth and great restaurant options in Nevada City. Highly recommend Stone House for dinner and South Yuba State Park for a day trip. Minor downsides: pillows were all way too dense and kitchen counter/stove/sink cleaning was overlooked. Dogs greet you upon arrival (we love dogs!) We would happily stay here again. Thanks, David!

Loved our stay! Kelly was incredibly welcoming. We spent most of our time in the pool and had a beautiful evening grilling and enjoying the view. The drive in is pretty long but very scenic. We stopped at a flower farm on the way home and also saw some breweries and wineries we want to check out next time.

There are so many small details that made a big difference: toys and treats for the dogs, paddleboards for everyone to play and lounge on, sunscreen and towels, a very comfortable bed and senior dog approved dog beds, the list goes on! It was the perfect way to spend a hot summer weekend and we can't wait to come back to this little paradise on the creek.

It is steep terrain to access the property. Its also near historic Nevada City and only 5 minutes to the Ananda Masters market which is a wonderful local health food store! This property is a true off-grid experience. There is no power. If you need lights, please bring battery powered or solar powered lights or your own portable generator and power bank. There are solar lights at the tree-house and on the trail to the campsite. Being off-grid means that there will be dust, leaves, bugs & and dirt because those are all present in nature. We keep the treehouse clean, but this is in a forest. There will be maple-leaves and pine leaves that fall on the outside table at the Treehouse. This is a natural forest environment. We want the forest to do forest things. On the property there are 3 hammocks setup in the shade of Maple trees. Sunset views and ripe blackberries this time of year add to the off-grid experience! There are also trails to around the property to explore. Amazing sunset views and cool quiet mornings provide a calming environment. Come enjoy the healing peace and quiet of the forest. There are a couple of donkeys, some goats, a small flock of chickens and quail, two super-chill dogs (Stax and Summer Grass), and a cat named Mike. All friendly, all part of the rhythm. Bring what you need and make yourself at home. There’s space to be left alone, make some art, dig in the dirt, fix a few things, or just sit with it. If you’re solid and grounded, we can talk trade — especially if I’m off the property and need someone to keep an eye on the crew. It could turn into something longer, or it could just be a stop along your way. The water is good, and solar runs the well. There are no power plugs unless you’ve got your own setup. Love creek sanctuary was founded in 2016. It all started with Stu the steer and his best friend Petey the goat, from there we have rescued over 90 animals, 45 make their home here at the sanctuary. Our camping areas are fenced from the animals but you are free to explore our 12 acres and interact with the animals during your stay here. We ask that children under 10 stay outside the animal areas and children over 10 are accompanied by a grownup. We have plenty of art and child friendly activities, just ask and we can set you up. We have a no dog policy because the chickens and birds are free ranging, unfortunately we have had several bad experiences with dogs attacking the birds and other animals. If you have a dog that has been around farm animals and is well behaved, let's talk about it. We have 5 dogs so the birds have NO FEAR of them. ---- We are a working farm - PLEASE READ----- There are donkeys, roosters, dogs and peacocks that make noise, sometimes at night and always early in the morning. Please be aware that you may hear the donkeys bray (usually lasts about 30 seconds), roosters crow, guinea fowl chirp. It is startling and will wake you up. We do our best to keep the dogs hushed but we cannot stop the donkeys, roosters and peacocks from doing their thing. If you are a light sleeper, please bring earplugs or select another wonderful Hipcamp in our area, thank you! In addition to the interesting sounds you will hear, you will encounter dirt, poop and spiders. Since we are a working farm, things get dirty. We spray all high traffic surfaces twice a day but things get dirty and when it rains it is muddy. Please plan accordingly. We are centrally located between Grass Valley and Auburn, giving you access to endless recreational activities, wineries, breweries and restaurants. We have 50 or so rescued farm animals, you can interact with our pig Hank, Mojo the goat or Teddy the alpaca. NOTE: Starting Memorial Day each year, we have replaced all of our wood fire pits with gas fire pits. We have increased our prices to help cover the costs of propane. Thank you for choosing us!

There is NOTHING like being in the wilderness of this area for a good re-centering of the soul! We have found it to be a true blessing for our family, and we hope you can experience this blessing as we share this space with you. We are happy to make suggestions for local hiking areas, like the Devil's Slide "Gorge" only a 15 minute drive but like a trip to mini Yosemite. The Caldor Fire was VERY close to our property and a back burn was initiated nearby the our house (literally 200' away!). Our property became a pivotal point of fighting the fire in our community known as the “Ant Hill Army”.

Our park features full hookups at all sites, with 50 amp service available at all back-in locations. Guests can enjoy a laundry room equipped with well-maintained washers and dryers, as well as clean restrooms and showers. Most sites are shaded, providing a cool respite during warm days, and our beautiful lawns and flower beds add to the park's charm.
