3 nights at Red Tail Ranch at Yosemite

My family and two dogs had a wonderful time at Red Tail Ranch! The spot was secluded and peaceful and we loved that we had full hook ups. The outside bathrooms and showers were a pleasant surprise, so clean! We will definitely be back when visiting the area!

Weekend Trip to Gold Wall Ranch & Vineyard

Had a great camping experience here! The hosts were super friendly and checked in with us every day to see if we needed anything—really thoughtful service. The scenery was beautiful and peaceful, perfect for relaxing. There are also some fun places nearby, such as Railtown 1897 State Historic Park and Moaning Caverns Adventure Park, which are great for history buffs and adventure lovers.

Red Tail Ranch is by far my favorite Hipcamp experience, and I wish we’d found it sooner! It’s especially great for groups with a mix of vans, tents and/or more luxurious travel preferences (e.g. in the separate B&B accommodations). Our friends are getting married on site and this was the perfect way for us to clean up after a long road trip to greet them in proper fashion.

Weekend Trip to Red Tail Ranch at Yosemite

We had some major adventures here at Red Tail Ranch in the RV spaces #1 and #2 (which to my knowledge may be the only "RV" zoned spaces at the time of this review. My wife and I were in #1 with our 35' Brinkley Model i 294 Travel Trailer for your reference. There was ample room for our truck as well as additional front patio space which overlooked a nice meadow. My friend was in #2 with his 25' Jayco SLX. There are sewer hook ups in site #1 only, though both #1 and #2 both have electrical and water. The water was great and the electrical hook ups did not have any issues while we were there. I used my 50 Amp Service and my friend who was in #2 used his 30 Amp and both were great. Both sites are back in and #2 is much easier to back into if you are not super skilled in backing in. We met Robb who is one of the owners here. He was so nice and friendly! We had a failure of one of our brakes while we were there. Robb was so accommodating in our time of need. He allowed us to stay in one site an additional day and though he had someone coming in the next day he found some additional space we could move to (without hook ups) in case the mechanic couldn't get us moving before check in time! What a super great person! We will be back again when we come to Yosemite next time. Super easy in and out and close to the gate to Yosemite!

Weekend Trip to Red Tail Ranch at Yosemite

This place is wonderful and site #1 is the best. We had a TT 35' 11.5' tall that we were able to fit into here. Our camp side was looking out to a peaceful view of just a field that would have no other campers. At one point we had a deer come traveling through the field towards us and then diverted but only after getting about 20 yards from us, just simply magical. The hook ups all worked wonderfully. I love how there are two hose hook ups so I did need a splitter! Water was fresh, I have a three stage filter, though tbh I dont believe that was necessary. Robb is a gracious host who took the time to greet everyone and make sure we were all comfortable and without wants. We will be back on our next trip back to Yosemite! Its close enough to enjoy the park without having the RV packed on top of eachother feel. Enjoy!

Weekend Trip to Sonora Foothills Getaway

Wonderful place with wonderful hosts. Our kids (7 and 5 yrs old) loved seeing the goats and chickens. Miriam and Damon were very kind and hospital and we had everything we needed for a great weekend getaway.

Everything is exactly like the pictures and description! Clean bathrooms and clear directions to get there. We decided to come back a day early because we forgot our sleeping bags and froze to death (don't be like us 😂) we had people talking and laughing next to us all night! (Keep that in mind if you are a light sleeper) Which is kind of what happens in every campground specially when people are having fun. If you are visiting Yosemite, the drive is a little bit over an hour to get to curry village. We would come back!

Great glamping spot! Everything was clean and had great vibes. It was a relaxing place to stay after long days in the park. It was also nice staying next door to Cedar Lodge and having perks like their restaurants and pool. WiFi worked great as well and everyone was friendly!

Campgrounds were a close drive to the entrance of Yosemite and the tent we rented was set up nicely. Had a great experience at Indian Flats and would recommend it. We will definitely come again.

The space is very nice and family friendly. A lot of space for in camp activities and a plethora of fire pits, wood, and grassy space. John and Mac were extremely helpful and friendly creating a great atmosphere in the camp. Their recommendations were amazing and we got the most out of our weekend.

The views are everything you could hope for and the cabin was comfy. Very little light pollution as well, kitchen and bbq area were well equipped. Overall cool experience!

Beautiful cabin at Pine Mountain Lake right down the street from beach. This 2-bedroom 2-bath cabin is very cozy. It features large deck,two couches, fire pit table, and a propane heater. The master bedroom has a king bed, full bathroom. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and a single bed. Each bedroom has a smart TV in it. The family room has a smart TV as well. The Wi-Fi is strong and can stream movies, video games, emails, cell phones etc. The space Guests have access to the whole house as well as Pine Mountain Lake amenities. There is a $44 fee per car to enter the gate. This gives you access to the amenities for the length of your stay up to 7 days. Dogs are limited to 3. We do not allow Rottweilers, Dobermans, pit bulls, chows, and wolf breeds. Also any dog mixed with these breeds are not permitted. Dogs are not allowed on the beach at Pine Mountain Lake, they must be on a leash at all times. Please do not leave in the home unattended without a crate. If staying with more than 6 guests please contact me with details, we can approve this depending on the situation. There is a wood burning stove in the living room, Do not use this. The house is equipped with a full HVAC system, Wood burning stove is to only be used if the power goes out and it is the only source of heat. We do not supply wood. A mix of Pine, Cedar and Oak with a hiking trail to the river for the adventurist. The trail is about a half mile of steep switch backs. 2 miles to deer creek OHV, 2 miles to fishing at Lyons reservoir. The road to the site is 3 miles of gravel country road that can be bumpy. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time and be aware of oncoming traffic.
