Bethany Reservoir State Recreation Area

Twenty minutes from Tracy is Bethany Reservoir State Recreation Area. Boat, fish, or windsurf along the 160-acre reservoir. Shaded picnic areas are dog-friendly and available near the boat ramp. Situated about an hour and a half west of Tracy, the park sits around the expansive San Luis Reservoir. Launch a boat from designated ramps, fish for striped bass and catfish, and hike trails with scenic views of the reservoir and surrounding hills. The park features numerous tent and RV campsites equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and restrooms, as well.
