Weekend Trip to Quail Ridge RV Park

This place is located in the plumas national forest. It gives the feeling of lost in the woods with the perfect privacy. It has full hook ups and is very peaceful and there are several lakes around the area to adventure to with beautiful clear water. We definitely will be coming back!!.

It's a truly special place ! We usually do a full takeover of the 4 historical cabins (Serenity, Shambala, Trinity and Geronimo) with ~ 20 friends / family. Serenity is across the pond from the 3 others - a bit more secluded. It feels that we own the forest - no neighbors besides Adam the owner - and liberty for kids to roam around and adult to relax. The main fire-pit is the hanging place, with 2 huge tables to share grilled food. And old gas grill and a smoker complete the set-up. Each room has a basic kitchen well stocked with stove + cooking and serving basics+. There's running cold water and electricity, but drink only the spring water (provided and refillable at the spring). Rooms are basic and comfortable (no curtains, brings eye masks) but they are "forest clean". There's a shower and flush toilet in the owner's house (3 min walk). It's remote, secluded and we love it for that. No cell coverage, but slow wifi by the owner's house for emergency. We like exploring the area - malakoff park, yuba river and many swim holes. I've come every year since 2020 and love it.

The property was beautiful, clean, quiet and the few people I encountered were friendly. Pay close attention to signs and you will find it just fine.

The campground was very quiet and in a beautiful tree. This campsite is made up with 60% Full-time RV. They had great wi-fi connection and a great dog park. the camp is about 15 miles from Lake Collins Lake and another small lake.

Weekend Trip to Sierra Sol Camp

Really beautiful area and the kitchen is lovely. The staff and Deja were all very kind and welcoming and everything was well marked. We were unfortunately a bit disappointed when we arrived to find out the sauna, shower, and bathtubs were all out of commission. The amenities were the reason we picked this property in the first place and it would have been nice to at least get a heads up. It looked like they were doing active work on those facilities so perhaps later in the season it will be up and running and lovely, but I would check before booking if that is what you were looking forward to those things like we were.

We had the absolute best time. Adam was a clear and helpful communicator the minute we booked the site. The cabin itself was definitely rustic - no bathroom and the only source of heating was a wood stove in the living room (so keep that in mind if you’re staying October-March; it gets cold at night and you’re throwing logs onto the fire every few hours). That said, the bed was arguably the most comfortable bed I’ve ever stayed on in a short term rental. The cabin had everything we needed, including beautiful trails, snow for the boys to sled on, and a chance to mentally reset and disconnect from our devices. There is WiFi near the main house so if you have to get online, there are no issues. I look forward to coming back with more friends and family.

I loved the whole place, it was a good experience. I went when it was cold and we pretty much had the place to ourselves, but I do want to see what it’s like when it’s warmer and there’s more people around. I love the cabins, but I want to try the tent sites next time, they looked very nice, and especially since they’re right by the lake.

Adam's eco-preserve is absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the Shambala cabin, which was cozy and comfortable. Plenty of hikes on the property and close to a state park for additional trails. Adam was a great host, and we look forward to visiting again.

The diva den was my old music studio and the main cabin is our family cabin. This is a magical and sacred space filled with a ton of memories please come join our community and nook in the sierras and make some more. We are based in between the middle fork of the Yuba river right where it meets up with Oregon Creek. If you like a long walk it is 2.5 miles down the dirt road to Oregon Creek and the middle fork of the Yuba. Driving takes 5 to 10 mins. The other direction is the largest lake in our county Bullards Bar Reservoir and Emerald Cove Marina. We are 1 mile down Marysville Rd. from a launch called dark day. There is a trailhead at the top of overflow boat parking for a public swimming hole on the lake. On our property, we have a main house with its own private facilities such as a kitchen, shower, and bath. On the land, we have 9 total unique cabin and canvas tent structures converted into boutique-like campsites. We have an epic outdoor entertaining kitchen and patio with an outdoor pizza oven and a little dog rinse behind the outdoor shower. The bathhouse is right across the way and provides a private but shared guest shower house, tub and sink. The sauna and fenced-in dog area are near the shipping container site. The sauna has just been remodelled with a shower and bathtub right outside the sauna house. Like anywhere in the woods there is an hour at sunset when you may have mosquitoes down near the sites in the spring and some of the summers depending on the year. We have a natural spray for that or fans in the kitchen. Off the path, you may find poison oak in the thick of the woods. So please stay on the marked trails.

Quail Ridge RV Park

Quail Ridge RV Park has almost 17 acres nestled in the Plumas National Forest. We do NOT have direct water access. We are surrounded by six lakes, with Sly Creek and Lost Lake Reservoirs being the closest (about 3 mi. north of us), two major rivers and Feather Falls, the 3rd largest waterfall in California (trail is currently closed until Spring of '24). Outdoor activities abound with fishing, swimming, boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking trails and mountain biking trails. You can also explore the local rivers and try your luck at gold panning. Our park is primarily divided into three areas: (1) RV sites for weekend RV's that have full hook-ups, which include 30/50 amp. electric, water and septic connection (no pull through sites); (2) an area in the middle of the park where permanent residents live; and (3) an area for volleyball, badmitten and playground on the opposite side of the park. Sorry, but due to the always present fire danger, no wood burning fires are allowed. You may use your own propane fire ring or propane or charcoal grill. We have clean laundry and showers and flush toilets on the north side of the park. There is one shower and one flush toilet for each men and women that are handicapped accessible. Showers cost $1 for 12 minutes of hot water. Cell phone service is spotty. AT&T/Cricket and sometimes Verizon work the best. We now have free Wi-Fi in the park! Quail Ridge RV Park is very pet friendly. However, we cannot accept aggressive breed dogs, or Pit-Bull mixed dogs (sorry, but our insurance company restricts these breeds). One guest decided to bar hop(not too bad an idea) on the way up, but didn't know where/what they were doing and didn't communicate... or go far... That's why we are at 42%... but we shall see. First test went with C-19. We Have SAT service now. Bring your team. I think we get 100% soon. Photos were requested .... on arrival.....as we should have had photos to share... with those negative reviews, (find one, and wonder) All should be good. Funny campfire story here. We are giving it another chance, now... after the lockdown... Please follow directions, as the area is off grid(private). (We have emergency satellite access, for those on the brim) This is for semi advanced campers and newbie friends eager to learn. Needed on Arrival: A photo of the secret landmark...there' er four guests that didn't follow the rule) (pay attention to the private woodsy review) The negative reviews, prove some funniness. The photos, has been a consistent request. But they didn't know better? We appreciate the questions and ideas for camping explorations based on ancient foundational practices of peace, relaxation and group/self-dependency to bear and enjoy the elements at the high Sierra altitude of 7000 feet, and musical instruments are highly encouraged. There are many outdoorsy things to do in the area. Make some campfire time to find out more. Small campfires are encouraged to help maintain a healthy forest. Get Your Campfire Permit! PLEASE SEND EMAIL PHOTO OF SAID PERMIT. (they didn't do it) Our history includes guiding mentors who don't know much, but are wise, and are available when located Our foundations are Multi-Culturally Inspired. Come share a tale and as this entrance leads to many trails. 100% pack out, what is packed in and Do Not Leave Behind. Plan ahead. Tip: Bring a set of walkie talkies and find a channel to chatter and recommended if on a hike. Horseback camping may be possible as well.... if you have horses that are prepared and enjoy camping.
