The other direction is the largest lake in our county Bullards Bar Reservoir and Emerald Cove Marina. We are 1 mile down Marysville Rd. from a launch called dark day. There is a trailhead at the top of overflow boat parking for a public swimming hole on the lake. On our property, we have a main house with its own private facilities such as a kitchen, shower, and bath. On the land, we have 9 total unique cabin and canvas tent structures converted into boutique-like campsites. We have an epic outdoor entertaining kitchen and patio with an outdoor pizza oven and a little dog rinse behind the outdoor shower. The bathhouse is right across the way and provides a private but shared guest shower house, tub and sink. Like anywhere in the woods there is an hour at sunset when you may have mosquitoes down near the sites in the spring and some of the summers depending on the year. We have a natural spray for that or fans in the kitchen. Off the path, you may find poison oak in the thick of the woods. So please stay on the marked trails.

Excellent hiking & running trails, and thousands of miles of ATV, dirt bike, and mountain bike trails are accessible right from our camp or within a short drive from Camp Almanor. You may just want to sit outside and read for days, enjoy the tall pine trees, and eat s’mores. The more adventurous may prefer kayaking, boating, fishing, bird watching, and stand-up paddle boards. The surrounding terrain offers endless activities and unbelievable scenery in a remote wilderness setting. Our cabin collection is where you will find the perfect lodging for your stay. Our options include a cozy studio cabin with a full bed, bunk beds, or futon, our popular loft cabin that sleeps up to six with a queen bed and two full mattresses in a low-ceiling loft, and our spacious chalet with room for eight. Each cabin comes with a fully stocked kitchen and essential items like linens and towels, ensuring a comfortable stay. To make your stay more comfortable, we suggest bringing along some additional beach towels, as the towels provided are meant for use only within the cabin. No matter what size group you are traveling with, we have a cabin option for you. Book now to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing getaway in the heart of nature. Pet Policy All our cabins and seasonal RV sites are pet friendly and we allow up to two dogs per reservation. We ask that they stay off the furniture (beds, sofas etc.) and are not left in the rental unattended. We love dogs, but sadly won’t be able to accommodate heavily shedding pets that aren’t house trained. Additionally, our insurance will not allow "aggressive breeds" that include any mix of: Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Doberman, German Sheppard. The cabin shares the property with our home but a large portion of the yard is maintained solely for the use of cabin guests. The space feels private with no obligation to interact with the main house residents. Enjoy cooking on the BBQ or sitting by the firepit while taking in the woodland scenery. The area features a plethora of nearby hiking, mountain biking, disc golf, and swimming. Or enjoy the simplicity of reading a book, sitting by the fire, and letting the forest share its splendor with you. This house is also only about an hour drive to beautiful Lake Almanor and the amazing gem of Lassen National Park. It is very easy to go up for a day to go boating, fishing, a hike to the hot springs and hydrothermal areas, or have a picnic. The drive between here and there is on well maintained roads and the scenery is absolutely stunning. While Chico may look a bit far away on the map, the highway gets you there in 20 short minutes. This university town is well known for its mixture of vibrance, the arts, and small town rural living. The area boasts truly amazing restaurants, bars, shopping and modern amenities. Our property is very close to access points for the famous Upper Bidwell park. We will share a guidebook full of our personal recommendations of things to do in the area.

Beautiful, cozy, quiet, comfortable cabin among the trees. A perfect spot to disconnect over a rainy weekend. We loved the windows, and exploring the trails with our dogs. Quite rustic, pack like you’re tent camping; but much more luxurious and comfortable than a tent for the winter time. The hosts were responsive and helpful.

Weekend Trip to Forest Mountain Treehouse Retreat

It was an amazing experience! Definitely a great way to seperate yourself from the hustle and bustle of everyday living. The site had amazing reception for us (xfinity mobile). With that being said, it is outdoor living. No electricity, low lighting and somewhat rough terrain for the inexperienced. I went for our wedding anniversary and made an amazing night. This was possible through being overly prepared and we loved it. I would recommend this site to anyone, but with the emphasis with being prepared. Suggestions for the trip: Light, hiking boots, and a nice glass of wine to enjoy the nights sky. P.S. Solen was an amazing host and answered our questions with quick response.

Weekend Trip to The Retreat on Big Grizzly Creek

This is a really great spot and we enjoyed our stay! We enjoyed the roaring creek next to us and hearing the water as we went to sleep and upon wake up! The tent was well built, felt cozy and secure. The propane heater provided was a MUST as we stayed mid-Oct and the nights were cold outside. It heated it up very quickly and we had to turn it down while we slept it got so toasty. While there are 2 options for parking, if we weren't able to park where we did (closer to the tent), it would have made for more difficult logistics. We just barely were able to get our full-sized truck backed down the path (between the posts) in order to park close to the tent. In muddy weather this might have been more challenging. FYI - you need to have some pretty decent backing up and maneuvering skills to back down through the gate, esp if you have a full sized truck like we did. We did navigate to this spot at night which was a bit challenging in the dark but everything worked out well. This is a nice, secluded and peaceful spot!

We had a great time at the Shamballa cabin over the weekend! It’s a beautiful rustic cabin in the middle of nature. You’ll get the feel of glamping (only wood burning stove for heat, no bathrooms in the cabin or running hot water (but flush toilet and hot water sink and shower in main house)), but you’ll be staying in a beautiful cabin with comfortable beds, a kitchen to prepare meals and a cozy place to relax. We enjoyed exploring the area and hiking the Dragons nest trail (get ready for some exercise as you go up to the top!). There is so much land to see and we only saw a little bit! I imagine it’s beautiful in the Winter months also! Thank you Adam and we hope to visit another time!

We loved staying at the tree house! The location is super quiet and peaceful, the views were wonderful. Easy to find following Solen’s instructions. We loved taking outdoor hot showers. We brought some with us but Solen had left plenty of bug repellent which was helpful. One thing we’d recommend improving is the bed which is a pad on the floor as the pictures show and we found it quite thin so not the most comfortable but other than that it was a lovely experience!

Loved our glamping yurt! Will be back for sure and hopefully with friends. Site 20 is by the trail to go to the creek but site 19 is a ways away because the vault toilet is in between. We heard the creek all night which is exactly what we wanted! It’s about 20 minutes to the southwest gate of Lassen NP.

We loved our stay at the forest treehouse! It was the perfect fit for our small group and dogs. We loved that the location was close to the river and town. We got a little lost finding the road at first but the directions from the host helped us locate it without issues. There weren’t many bugs and we liked how secluded it felt. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone with mobility issues because there it is on a steep hill with uneven ground. We appreciated the amenities- from the outdoor kitchen to the composting toilet! We would definitely stay here again.

The most unique hipcamp I've ever been! So much to do and so much to see, we had tons of fun! Main cabin is extremely comfty, equipped with everything you need. Deja is super friendly and flexible to our last min change, truly appreciate the flexibility. Oh, did I mention Deja's hipcamp is only 10 mins away from Oregon Creek? We spent whole day there it's so beautiful. It's perfect in every way, we will definitely come back.

Weekend Trip to Butterfly Valley Yurt

The Butterfly Yurt is the perfect glamping spot! It's private, comfortable, and has just enough amenities to make the stay easy yet with the camping feel. Lori and Lucky were great hosts -- nearby if needed but out of sight and earshot. The location is great for access to Quincy, the Feather River canyon, the Lakes region (the hike to the Sierra Buttes lookout is epic!), swimming, hot springs, etc. Or just laze on the yurt's deck with a cup of coffee and read. We hope to go back again soon.

2 nights at Tambo Ranch Tiny House Village

This was the perfect place to take a day or two and just relax. The tiny house had just enough kitchen that for a short stay you didn’t need to go out unless you wanted to. It was impressively efficient. I did bring a cooler because I like cold beverages, but the small fridge would be enough for the yogurts and cheese I brought with for my 2 night stay. I had a nice time playing with the kittens, Caspian the dog, (who dutifully slept on my porch) and exploring the property. The bed downstairs was very comfortable and it was nice falling asleep to the sounds of nature outside. 10/10 recommend!
