Located right off Historic Route 66, Wild Wash Ranch is situated at the top of a hill boasting 360 degree views of the Mojave River to the West, The San Bernardino Mountains to the South, Silver Lakes to the North, and the vast open desert to the East.
THIS IS A WORKING REGENERATIVE FARM. We harvest rainwater from our farm structures, produce our own energy, grow and raise fruit trees, fodder trees, native plants, chickens, rabbits, and dogs. Our farm is carefully managed every day in order to ensure a regenerative future of local ecological resilience. We welcome anyone interested in learning about and participating in protecting our desert and working with nature to produce abundance for all!
Less than 5 miles away from the farm is the community of Silver Lakes, with grocery stores, restaurants, beaches, and parks. Very close by you’ll find famous Route 66 attractions such as Elmers Bottle Ranch, Cross Eyed Cow Pizza, and Antique Station.
Locals in this area also frequent nearby attractions such as Palisades Ranch, Deep Creek Hot Springs, and Silverwood Lake.

Wild Wash Ranch is a working regenerative farm serving as the flagship demonstration site for Seeds Of Succession, a permaculture nonprofit working to empower local communities through land stewardship practices aimed toward reversing desertification, and promoting food sovereignty.

Whether you’re exploring Tehachapi for the first time, or have been living in town for years, the Tehachapi Visitor Center always has something new for guests to discover. Tehachapi offers a wide variety of independently owned restaurants ranging in atmosphere from casual to fine dining. The Tehachapi area is known for the nearby Tehachapi Loop (a popular railfan site), Tehachapi Pass Wind Farm, often high winds, Main Street Tehachapi, the Tehachapi Depot Museum, the Tomo-Kahni State Historic Park and Tomi-Kahni Resource Center (Native American), and excellent air conditions for gliding.

What a wonderful place! John was very kind and obviously puts a lot of work into maintaining the campsites and land. He took the time to show us around when we arrived which made us feel very welcome. The campsite was pristine, the bathroom was very clean, and the walking trail around the property was fantastic. If you're looking for a relaxing off the grid experience this is it. My little dog had a wonderful time too.

Really lovely stay. Was only there one night, and we got in very late, but John was completely accommodating and an amazing host. The little cabin is a wonder, and all built by the host. Incredible. We brought king-size bedding to fit the king size fold-out bed and had an absolutely magical little stay.

Private scenic clean campsite. Theres 2 cute dogs who chilled with me the whole time. Overall had a great camping experience. The camp is gated so it fell really safe and the host greated me at the site.

We had a very quick stay (late arrival due to traffic) but had an easy time finding and accessing the location. It was so quiet and peaceful, I forgot how much I missed seeing the stars while living in the city. It was beautiful. Host was very sweet and communicative. Definitely will be coming back on my next trip up near the sierras.

We arrived late and had to set up in the dark, but waking up in those hills was so cool! Really beautiful part of the country. The bathroom was clean and the directions were clear and the campsite was nice and flat with soft ground. Definitely recommend it!

This cabin was one of the coziest experiences I’ve ever had. It felt kind like a constructed warm hug. I slept so well and wish I could have woken up to see the sunrise from the inside of the cabin, but I had to leave very early. I will definitely be back to have that experience!

Amazing stay, very quiet and peaceful. Far enough away from central Tehachapi that the train horns are a nice feature of the landscape and not too jarring. The walking trails are perfect for a little hike -- takes a full 30 minutes at a moderate pace to do a loop!
John is an excellent host as well, and gave me a thorough walkthrough when I arrived. Absolutely recommend.
Do note that a lot of the roads are unpaved tho. There are parts that will require a more robust vehicle

The Robison Ranch was an absolute wonderful place to stay. The views are fantastic, the it is very private and quiet, the owners of the ranch (Leslie and Frank) were wonderful and the volunteers were also great people. I stayed out there for three weeks and loved it! I would defiantly love to come back and stay again.

Great site and area, would definitely recommend. Nobody else is nearby so you have the privacy of the whole lot. All amenities onsite are well taken care of. Everything we needed was there and the bathroom was freshly cleaned for us. The shooting range onsite was great and having the BLM Land right against the property line was awesome. Highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mark‘s Hipcamp. It was perfect for four teenage boys and a dog to run around and let loose. We used it as a basecamp to explore Sequoia National Park and Lake Isabella. There is a pontoon, a large concrete slab with picnic tables, and a clean porta-potty. We happened to get excellent weather during late December and the property was green and beautiful. There is hiking to mountains directly behind the property as well as ORV trails. Plus, there are beautiful views of the lake and mountains. We also ordered the $60 bundle of wood that had large high-quality logs. Mark was quick to respond to questions and offered us advice for places to go. Overall, this property exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this Hipcamp! (as a sidenote, do not follow the directions from Apple or Google to turn off Larson. You can take Larson from the highway all the way back to the property.)

Loved loved loved my stay here! I would call it gamping - not quite luxury glamping but definitely above camping. There are basic amenities provided though bringing your own gear might be helpful. Definitely coming back with my friends!
