Weekend Trip to Comptche Matrix @ Sunny-land

My partner and I loved the tiny cabin! We felt very safe and enjoyed the closeness of the cabin to the families home. The fire stove inside our room was amazing and made the space so cozy and warm. The land was beautiful and all the wisterias were breathtaking. We enjoyed talking and playing with the kids but were also able to have time alone. Sunny was super welcoming and so were her kids and pups. We will be back again 💕

Weekend Trip to Tiny House glamping & with heat

Great place for redwood exploration. Very quiet and peaceful place! Adorable and quaint with all the amenities needed. Glamping at its best!

3 nights at Vineyard Camping at Bad Rat Ranch

Beautiful vineyard setting in the rolling CA hills. Marek is a wonderful host, took us to a couple amazing wineries nearby, one of which 6 Sigma has a nice set of fast mountain bike trails on the property! The campsite includes a fun outdoor shower, portable toilet, power hook-up and the company of his very friendly dog Ceviche. Quiet all day long, full sun or shade under the trampoline “awning.” We loved our stay, wish we could have stayed longer.

Quiet and quaint. Little meandering paths to tent sites. Outhouse super impressive--more like a lovely greenhouse. Thanks for the great stay and thoughtful touches!

Had a great time spending a couple nights at Sunny’s land! if you love dogs, highly recommend as she has the sweetest dogs :) felt really safe when the pups escorted us to the bathroom and led the way to the site haha Sunny is also really nice and gave us a ton of fresh eggs! Would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a nice spot to stay the night to visit Mendocino or any other surrounding areas

1 night at Gomde Buddhist Meditation Center

I was the only camper on the weekday night I went and that was lovely, so serene. I spent a few hours painting on the beautiful property. It was quiet, the most peaceful nights sleep I’ve had on this trip. Showers and facilities were great. The wild turkeys were intimidated by their reflection in my RVs bumper which was entertaining. Would definitely come back, I felt very safe here.

One of my favorite hip camps! Very convenient and close to town but still feels like you’re in the middle of the forest. Molly the host is also really nice and welcoming. Will be back next time!

Thank you very much for this pleasant stay. The host was very friendly and the surroundings very quiet. We were able to relax very well and enjoy the beautiful nature in the camp. The sanitary facilities were very clean. If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet place close to nature, you should definitely come here!

Great spot to park my van overnight! Joseph was easy to communicate with and welcoming. The sight was easy to get to and having access to a hot shower was amazing during the cold rain. It was nice to sleep among the trees, would recommend!

Nicely laid out campground with sounds of the river below. Excellent bathhouse with hot showers. The herd of deer wandering around were a nice touch too.

One of the best places I've stayed. I usually tent camp, but the lodging experience was tremendously out of this world. The host is such a beautiful person inside and out. She's very attentive and is there for whatever you need. The views from all of the areas I explored were breathtaking. The uniqueness of this place gives it the best charm. I definitely will be coming back. Even just to say hi to her and her family. They truly are wonderful.

Lovely private spot with a lot of tree coverage. This is probably the most private spot of the camp sites with the Fisherman's shack being the second most private. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean, our stay was great!

Nearly four acres close to town and amenities, yet quiet and secluded. Away from any major roads and on quiet nights, the fog horn from the Big River buoy can be heard. Wildlife on the property include piliated woodpeckers, deer, raccoons, jack rabbits, bears (keep your trash and food inside!), mountain lions, foxes, and of course, our resident ravens. Wild huckleberries and rhododendrons are abundant among the redwoods and fir. A beautiful spot to spend the night!

The ranch is an oasis with plenty of space to stretch out. Wander the vineyard, down a beer in the outdoor living room, join a game of volleyball or ping pong, cook a gourmet meal on the BBQ, and end your day soaking in the shared hot tub. Whether you want some seclusion, to hang with other campers, or to visit the attractions of northern California, the ranch offers everything you need for a comfortable stay! Here, you can explore Mendocino County's exquisite State Parks such as Montgomery Woods with giant redwoods (20 min drive). Orr Hot Springs (25 min), enjoy restaurants, coastal landscapes (Hwy 1 , 40 min away) , hiking trails, beaches (40 min away), wineries (Anderson Valley 30 min) also pygmy forests nearby. Sunnyland is a VERY REMOTE AND RURAL location. We are an off grid solar homestead. Beautiful redwood grove campsites. Hiking trails all over the property, hundreds of different wild mushrooms. Bird watching too! We have two very friendly Great Pyrenees, 2 cats, 5 ducks and 10 chickens. Fresh farm eggs available. These animals are all located near the house, and not near the campsites. Directions: Please contact me for specific instructions on how to get here ahead of your arrival time. Feel free to reach out the day before for directions also. If you are coming from Ukiah, reach out to me there. Or if coming from the coast please reach out to me from Mendocino area since service is very unreliable shortly after both of those towns. Please check in before dark or contact me before for detailed directions. Kids are absolutely welcome. CELL SERVICE IS SPOTTY. Wifi is available here up at the main house if needed. Water is available at the main house. Campsites are private.
