TerraSol

2 sites · Lodging40 acres · Nevada City, CA
I’ve had the pleasure to be the “caretaker” of this special land once inhabited by the Maidu Indians for the past 43 years. This is SPECIAL ground here and I’m sure you will feel the MAGIC!!! This 40 acres sits on the Yuba River Ridgetop. At the "Platform of Pleasure" you will enjoy 100,000+ acre views of protected land looking North to the High Sierra, minutes away from downtown Nevada City and 8-10 miles from Yuba River Trailheads. Firewood bundles are $15 per bundle (2+ hours of campfire when campfires 🔥 are allowed). There is a $10.00 dog fee per dog/per stay. On our property like anywhere in the woods there are mosquitos, so you should bring bug spray. We offer a tent platform, as well as a canvas tent listing. Guests love staying here: "From the moment we arrived Chris was nothing but amazing. He helped us get settled in and even recommended some beautiful spots to hike/sight see. They are both so generous! The campsite beautiful and they did a very nice job supplying us with any materials we may need. Definitely coming back during the summer!"

Pleasant Valley Creekside Ranch

1 site · Lodging5 acres · Penn Valley, CA
Welcome to Pleasant Valley Creekside Ranch! Nestled within five beautifully fenced acres. Secluded and surrounded by a serene year-round running creek and mature oak trees, our site offers ample shade and tranquility. Our amenities include an indoor restroom (showers not available), a hot tub, and a gas fire pit (wood burning fires not permitted). You'll also find an electric pellet BBQ, various seating options, a beach area equipped with seasonal paddleboards and water floats, as well as a cooler for drinks and food. Additional conveniences include cold/hot water, ice machine, water shoes, natural bug sprays, sunscreen, and a hose area for rinsing off. For guests camping with furry companions, we offer doggie life jackets in various sizes, doggie shampoo, treats, and water toys. Rest assured, all amenities are clearly marked for easy access. Please note that while we strive to maintain your privacy, the property owners and their five furry companions reside on-site and may occasionally be visible to guests. Therefore, we cannot accommodate campers with reactive or aggressive dogs. Our furry friends are friendly to all, but we prioritize safety and cannot permit any aggression issues from reactive dogs. However, we operate a Sniffspot, providing a private dog park experience specifically designed for reactive dogs and those in need of short-term day trip bookings (minimum 1 hour, maximum 4 hours). We do not book Sniffspot guests at the same time as Hipcampers. Although there are no full RV hookups at our site, water and electric can be arranged for campers with rigs under 20 ft. Additionally, guests have the option of setting up tent camping at the back of the property near the creek swimming hole area. We kindly ask all guests to be self-contained, carry out waste, and leave no trace. Let's show respect for the environment, our property, and future guests. We're excited to welcome you to our campsite!

Camp Wayward

1 site · Lodging33 acres · Grass Valley, CA
Wayward Farm is a 33 acre cooperative farm community in its fledgling phases. We are working toward raising our own food and creating space for connections and learning. We started with milk cows and chickens and added a couple of pasture pigs. There are two gentle horses who live here. There are meandering trails throughout the back side of the property and a creek that flows from the small pond. There is plenty of wildlife on the back side of the property which includes deer, turkey, woodpeckers, mourning doves, coyote, fox, blue heron, and much, much more. We are a 15 minute drive from the Nevada County fairgrounds.
