The antique Indonesian cottage is made of beautifully hand carved and hand colored teak wood, and is quiet, cozy and romantic with lovely views. It abuts a large private deck and hot tub. Just a few steps across the deck is the very large, luxurious, art filled, centrally heated private bathroom and sitting area. The cottage itself is unheated although there is a premium electric mattress pad with separate controls on the California King bed. That and the hot tub make for cozy sleeping on chilly winter nights

Aside from the private deck, hot tub and bathroom/sitting room (with 6' tub and shower), guests can access 2.5 peaceful acres, woods and fields and Helen Putnam Regional Park one mile down the road for spectacular hiking.

In the 1970's this property was Swallowtail Studios, a famous glass blowers cooperative. The Grateful Dead played in the barn and hung out here...their manager lived just down the road. The barn is redwood, quite large and beautiful, with stained glass windows."

Weekend Trip to The Coastal Redwood Cabin | Creek
This is a lovely place to go for a little R&R! Easy to get to, serene location nestled within the redwoods. There's stairs that lead you to the river. Comfortable bed and good quality bedding, complimentary snacks and coffee. We went in November so the hottub was perfect for the cool nights. Close by Capitola, which we love to visit and did some hiking at Nisene Mark's State Park. We recommend this spot and may be back next year.

Bill’s land was one of the best hip camps I have ever stayed at! The Indonesian bedroom was so serene and I slept like a baby with the heated bed. The bathroom was so beautifully decorated with ornate paintings, little treasures, and the stained glass window was intricately stunning. The hot tub was a bonus and it was extremely close to the town of Petaluma and hiking trails. You definitely should stay here for a romantic getaway!

Absolutely WONDERFUL STAY! The location is a four minute drive to castle rock state park, the house is stocked with everything you may need including a full bar, seltzers and sodas, FRESH EGGS, and snacks (just bring your favorite creamer and bread for the perfect breakfast each morning)!
Our favorite part of the trip was the tub outside overlooking the lake that can be swam in along with their friendly fur animals that you can feed!
Highly recommend and hope to be back!

Overall, the campsite was a great experience! The accommodations were clean and comfortable, and the snack options were perfect—definitely a nice touch. The view of the city was absolutely stunning, and the peaceful, scenic atmosphere made it a relaxing getaway. Everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even better.
If I had one suggestion for the future, it would be to add more variety in terms of lodging. It would be awesome to see more tent options or even some expanded log cabin-style homes with extra bedrooms for families coming with kids. That would definitely take the experience to the next level.

This was the most accommodating place I have ever stayed. The cupboards and drawers are chock full of food and just plain stuff. Ultra-friendly host. The geese were a great lot of fun. Bring lettuce to feed them. Comfortable space, great shower, big kitchen. A little out of the way but very private as a result. Space to wander. I recommend taking the road in from Saratoga. Much easier drive to the top of the hill.

May's homestead was an amazing escape from the hustle and bustle of day to day suburbia. They go above and beyond to ensure your stay is stress ands hassle free while maintaining a zen-like retreat. The one thing I miss while away from home is my bidet but May's homestead exceeded my expectation with the Brondell bidet. It was just one of the many intricate details this retreat surprises guests with to surpass anything you can even imagine after looking at the pictures when you are about to book. Definitely will be returning and I highly recommend for any family or couple just looking to escape. Thank you both for an unforgettable weekend!

The art studio was an incredibly unique and enjoyable experience. At first glance at the listing and the communications it might feel like there’s a lot of instructions. But once you are in the space it all makes sense, and you want to protect and respect the beauty Bill has created. There were so many sweet, and special touches. Fresh cut flowers, coffee and treats in the morning. While the room you sleep is cold and uninsulated, the bed is one of the most comfortable ones I’ve slept in away from home with a heated mattress and the most luxurious linen sheets. We loved the hot tub, the grounds and all the unique decor and structures. You will not regret booking your stay.

Great space, very chill. Very close to intersection of CA-35 and CA-9. Easy access to grocery stores, pharmacies in Saratoga and very close to all the parks along Skyline Blvd (CA-35).
There were other guests staying on the property close to us, but it wasn't a problem, but beware, there may be random children around due to this. The fish pond was extremely nice, I really loved the chickens, and there was a great view.
The Log Cabin was definitely a studio that was great for 2 people. I wouldnt want to stay there with more people.
