We really loved the atmosphere of the place, especially how serene it was. Naomi was really nice and welcoming, same with the rest of the crew of The Haven. It was an experience to get so close to an alpaca! We will definitely be back again!

Really loved this campsite! Best parts were how private it felt and the large space. Also was in a very safe area and had fun swings and other cool amenities for our 4 yr old to use. We even saw a deer up close! It was a good first camping experience for our toddlers. You definitely need four wheel drive to get up and though the cabin was nice to have, there was evidence of mice, so this is a better space for the pure camping experience—which was great for us to use our tent and experience sleeping outdoors for the first time with our little ones (age 4 and 2).

We loved our stay at the Flying Pig BnB! The cabin was spacious for our little family and the bed was very comfortable. Our daughter loved meeting all of Kim’s animals and especially enjoyed feeding and petting them. She also thoroughly enjoyed all the play structures and toys that were available for us. Would recommend adding breakfast and nightly camp fire for s’mores! Highly recommend this place and we’d love to return!

This was a beautiful quiet cabin right on ridge-line of the Santa Cruz mountains. The host was accommodating and provided delicious fresh eggs, snacks, coffee, and beer. I would visit again. My kids enjoyed it. It was just right for 2 adults and 2 kids. The bed was very comfortable but I could not have slept on the foldable couch. Overall, I loved it.

The Haven was a beautiful spot tucked in the lush trees and incredibly peaceful. Naomi and crew were welcoming and gracious and there’s alpacas! My favorite was the outdoor kitchen and garden space. This is a gem and I very much enjoyed my retreat over the weekend.

My husband and I had such a lovely stay. I felt like a kid at summer camp, I almost cried because I didn’t want to go home! The house has everything you could need, it has quirks but expected for a Hipcamp! The pond has so many beautiful fish, and you can feed them. The chickens, roosters, ducks and goose are all friendly and have their own personality. Sometimes we got a chicken fashion show along the deck through the sliding glass door. Every room has a view out to the pond and mountain range/ocean. The view from the deck or the pond are incredible. We got rain one of the days we were there and it didn’t matter, we still had an amazing view and cozied up with a puzzle we’d brought. There are other cabins on either side of you, but you have reasonable privacy. We got lucky and there weren’t bookings on both sides at the same time during our stay, YMMV. We were so close to trails, on the day we got good weather we visited the redwoods. That night I enjoyed a bath in the outdoor tub, to soak my tired bones, it was magical! We’re already talking about going back, our new happy place.

A beautiful property full of animal life! We were huge fans of the brand-new outdoor kitchen, which includes all the amenities you could need, while still allowing you to take in the sun and rich plant life and foliage. What’s more, we got to meet alpacas, a couple of cats - one is very friendly -and has a loud purr - and even the guard dog, who is off limits for petting, is adorable. As a couple who needed a night away and didn’t have time to commit to a full camping experience, this was a great way to experience the Santa Cruz countryside in luxury and comfort. We didn’t even need to dine in town, as Naomi makes delicious, custom-made sourdough pizzas you can order! Five stars!

We felt very welcomed. The cabin was everything we imagined and more. The hosts meticulously made sure we had everything we could need or want for our vacation. All you’ll need to do is pack your clothes. Literally. They have a beautiful property. The chickens and roosters are people friendly and so adorable. We thought we would hear the roosters but we didn’t. They provide earplugs by the bedside if you need them. But you won’t. Being close to all the animals we thought we might smell the coop but there wasn’t a foul smell anywhere on the property. The pond is beautiful. The host indicated we could wade in the pond but the weather was bad. The trails were right off the property and beautiful. I always like to report the good and ugly about our experiences at locations we visit. Reviews from past visitors give you the real lowdown of the place. I’m sorry but there wasn’t a negative I can think of. Honestly I want to move in!

This is camping made easy. No need to bring your cooking supplies, stoves, barbeque and dinnerwares ! We have them all. If you like to be social and have bonfire and have a nice chat with fellow campers , this is the place for you. We are committed to provide good beds and beddings because we know how important good sleep is (even when you camp!) so we just spent time, money and energy to replace all of our camping mattresses with memory foam mattresses!!! We had people swear that this is the best bed they ever slept in. The campground is located in a serene oak grove area of the property. Its a peaceful getaway with an abundance of bird varieties and occasional wild turkeys passing through. Take a stroll around our 5-acre property and catch a breathtaking sunset from the hillside. We're only 11 minutes away from Mount Madonna State Park and just 10 minutes from a local healthy grocery store and yoga studio. The beautiful Pajaro Dunes coastal area is just a 15-minute drive away, and the Santa Cruz Fairground is only two minutes away. These are the amenities/facilities you will have free access to: Pool, Pool chairs and umbrellas, Deck area with sunset view, Trampolines, and hammocks. There is not cooking allowed by or at any of the common areas, due to flies and critters. Cooking and eating is only allowed by your sites and not in any common areas: Hammocks, Trampolines, Pool Area, tables, sink, and deck please follow this rule because we want to prevent our shared areas to be fly and bug infested. We are still working on ridding the flies and cleaning. (please try to bring prepackaged food or something easy. If anything you can drive 10 minutes to nearby food and grocery). In the past we let people cook and eat around the pool but now our whole property is fly infested and I find scattered leftovers on the ground. Thanks for understanding. Located on 115 acres historic boys and girls summer camp complete with pool, tennis, and hiking in Carmel Valley, CA. Re-connect to nature and nostalgia! There is plenty to do at the Camp as well as surrounding areas. 2.5 miles from Carmel Village known for its many wine tasting rooms, restaurants and galleries. 14.5 miles inland from Carmel by-the-sea and Carmel Beach. Perfect locations for day excursion to Carmel, Monterey, and Big Sur. Individual Glamping sessions are available on select dates. Breakfast included in the stay. Length of stay may be required. We highly recommend you stay for more than one day as it is difficult to take part in all activities when at the camp for only one day. CABINS Solstice and Sunrise cabins recently re-built cabins have one queen bed and two twin beds (max 4 ppl) and are located near a shared communal bathhouses. Sunset village cabins have access to a bathhouse with designated full baths with private shower and bathroom for each cabin. Each cabin has power and one queen bed and two twin beds (max 4 ppl) Like tent camping without the hassle of having to set up a tent. You bring your sleeping bag, bedding and towels. Or we can provide you with a bedding/towel pack for an extra cost. POWER All cabins and bathhouses have power Wi-Fi Free wi-fi in central camp not at cabins. FOOD and DRINK 2024 Glamping Includes breakfast. Lunch and Dinner optional at an additional cost. ACTIVITIES Self guided activities include: Pool, pool deck, basketball half court, tennis courts, yard games, hiking trails and many areas to connect to nature. Guided activities: Hosted campfire nightly, Yoga, Archery and Tie Dye sessions available on Saturday. (holiday weekends additional sessions available) FIRE No individual fires. We do offer hosted campfires nightly. DOG Two dogs are welcome per cabin $50 per dog. MUSIC No speakers, amplification or radios. Acoustic instruments are allowed. RESERVATIONS Glamping weekends may require multiple night stays. Check-in is between 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM. We will send you an email prior to arrival with additional information. Please note Hipcamp site assignments do not correspond to the actual cabin you will be assigned. Our Camp cabin names and assignments are a little different. If you are reserving multiple cabins please let us know so we can try and assign you near each other. Parking is a short walk away from the Cabins. The Camp is private property and for registered guests only. Gate is closed 9PM-7PM. Campers are free to come and go as these please between 7AM-PM, but all Campers must be back onsite before 9PM.
