And it is a half hour drive inland to swimming holes on the Trinity River. OFF-THE-GRID: The place is off-the-grid, no internet, only limited solar power, an on-demand propane water heater, and heated by woodstoves. Structures are a combination of natural building, salvaged, and new materials, with a mix of low-tech alternative technologies- all built with lots of love and help from friends. It was the coziest cabin and friendliest people. The showers are nice and hot and water pressure is great.The weather got cold unexpectedly, and I was offered a heater for my little cabin. They have trash disposal, and a more than reasonably priced laundromat.

1 night at Explore the Trinity Alps!

What an incredible story this place has. The owners have clearly followed God's creative direction and created a heavenly oasis in the middle of the Trinity Alps. The highlight for sure is rafting down the river, which I didn't have enough time to do. This is def a family camp, stay for a few days kinda place. My studio room was big and clean and had everything I needed microwaving my dinner and a quick breakfast. Although you could happily be fed every meal and drink at the cafe!

Weekend Trip to Ganjier Campus

The cabins were super clean and cozy, completely surrounded by trees and tons of sun. I thought it was really cool that they run fully on solar power but still have electricity and wifi so you really do get the best of both worlds. The hosts were so kind and they even left snacks in the cabin, which was so sweet. Bathrooms and showers were impressively spotless and fully functional too. The entrance road is a little rough, but once you’re in, it’s so pretty, peaceful and serene, you won’t even mind the ride up. P.S. I had no clue what a “Ganjier” was when I booked, did a quick Google later and was a little surprised, given I had my younger sister with me lol.

It’s remote but connected to WiFi. It has hotttt showers and a safe cozy place to sleep surrounded by towering huge old growth trunks with fairy rings. It’s very chill with everything you need including laundry and power✨ so close to avenue of the giants and a few amazing hikes to the tall tree, giant tree, and ancient old growth forests. Worth it for a great price! I stayed in Cabin Love!

We had an incredible stay at the cabin. The views were stunning all day long, the little terrace was a great place to hang, the interior was super cozy and comfortable, we had all the amenities we could have possibly wished for, you’re walking distance from a cute swimming hole and a short drive from bigger river beaches and gigantic redwoods. The cabin was lovely and we really enjoyed having lots of amenities while being remote. The host was super nice, and we would definitely go again. It is quite a drive on a nonpaved road for about a mile, so good to be prepared for that, and definitely 4x4 was needed for the driveway where it was steep. Being prepared for that, we had a great time!

I had a wonderful stay at Liam and Sara’s peaceful mountain retreat in Humboldt County. The cabin is surrounded by miles of trails, wildlife, and the calming sounds of Salmon Creek—complete with a perfect little swimming hole. Their dog Stanley was a sweet and playful companion for my pup, and Liam went above and beyond to help transport luggage up/down the steep drive (a big help since I don't have 4WD). The cabin itself was clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with everything we needed. It's remote—about 20 minutes off Hwy 101—but the serenity and connection to nature make it more than worth the drive. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unplug and recharge in the redwoods.

Weekend Trip to Dark Fairy Farms

another incredible stay here. stanley the host pup was happy to greet me right away. sara was very welcoming again as well, and offered me a reiki session for an extra charge. it was incredible. highly recommend if you are open to that kind of thing. i really enjoy the cabin in this weather. it was not really rainy, but very moody and foggy. i was cozy and wish i could have stayed longer.
