Our water is from a deep well and we periodically test it for bacteria. It is cold and delicious. Our irrigation pipes that have spigots and hoses at each camp are safe for drinking, cooking and cleaning Our solar pump moves water into storage tanks that provide all the water to the farm. It is very important that the water valves on your camp spigot is turned off (gently please) to avoid losing 2500 gallons of water in a short time. If you see a leak or break in a line please contact us immediately. There are also water shut offs for the camps on the west side of the Farm House if you are unable to reach us right away.. When doing dishes we request that you use the strainer to catch food particles from the dish water and toss them in your trash or compost bucket. If you have vegetable waste let us know and we can pick them up for adding to the worm bins or composting piles. We make worm "tea" fertilizer and rich soil from these offerings. No animal products or oil please... a few egg shells are okay. We do have the usual wildlife though we haven't had problems with them. Ravens will raid your camp if food or bags are left out while you are away. From dusk to dawn keep children and pets close. We coexist well here with the critters...and glad to have them. A gorgeous place to land and settle in. Great access to Shelter Cove black sands beaches and town park. Hot tub was perfection, our dogs loved the fenced yard, and we had everything we needed!

The Cozy Cabin is tiny and adorable - one of those rare properties that is actually exactly as described in its listing. We brought our dog and had a lovely stay. The bed is very comfortable, the cabin is well insulated, well spaced from other dwellings and campsites, the land around it is beautiful, and there are lots of stars to see on a clear night. Only noteworthy flaw was upon arrival: it was pretty tough to find our way in the dark. Arrive in the daylight if possible until they add clearer night-reflective signage and/or a detailed campsite map!

Weekend Trip to Redwood Family Camp

We really enjoyed our stay in the cabin! The campground is in a great location giving us the opportunity to tour the amazing redwood forests. Clean bathrooms and hot showers were great. The nights got chilly so we made use of the electric heater. We look forward to staying here again on our next trip out to this beautiful, special place.

This place is incredible. The ambiance created by the earthy decor inside and out was relaxing, refreshing and so connected to nature. They brought the outside in and made the inside blend seamlessly with it. Beautiful properties have an irresistible charm to them. The hot tub right off my room was without a doubt the most pampered I have been in a long while. The accoutrements were perfect for any anticipated need. I loved experiencing this space and I would recommend it without hesitation.

I love this place, such beautiful grounds and the view with the hot tub was incredible. The house was cozy and there were so many places to lounge and enjoy the view. The dog loved this place as well; so much to smell and I was so happy to have a place for her to enjoy and not worry about her escaping. The peace and quiet was incomparable; I cannot wait to go back. Thank you for such a peaceful and comfortable experience.

Weekend Trip to Ganjier Campus

The cabins were super clean and cozy, completely surrounded by trees and tons of sun. I thought it was really cool that they run fully on solar power but still have electricity and wifi so you really do get the best of both worlds. The hosts were so kind and they even left snacks in the cabin, which was so sweet. Bathrooms and showers were impressively spotless and fully functional too. The entrance road is a little rough, but once you’re in, it’s so pretty, peaceful and serene, you won’t even mind the ride up. P.S. I had no clue what a “Ganjier” was when I booked, did a quick Google later and was a little surprised, given I had my younger sister with me lol.

Fantastic home to escape to! The view, deck, outside shower and hot tub created such a relaxing atmosphere. The home is clean, comfortable, and very inviting. Great location- we walked into town/the coast for our meals. Restaurant selections were perfect- coffee, beer, cocktails, and food were all great across the board. We would definitely recommend an escape here to anyone who is lucky enough to book this home!

Stacey thank you for a week of relaxation with our 3 beagles. We were able to relax because Stacy’s outside yard is completely fenced in. Our pups had a field day running and playing. It was like home away from home. Everything you would need is in her home for you to use except a coffee pot but I brought that. We will definitely be back often now that we found her place.

1 night at Redwood Family Camp

We rented a tiny cabin with 2 bunk beds shaded by redwoods fron hipcamp.com. The site included lots of RVs, some cabins, a treehouse and tent camping, as well as a shop. The gps coordinates were wrong but the staff were helpful, warm, and family oriented. The bunk beds were sturdy and reminded me of summer camp. We brought our own bedding so that's what you make of it. The cabin had a small refrigerator, and microwave. There was a new wood picnic table, and fire pit a safe distance in front of the cabin. A local kiddo (daughter of staff perhaps) proudly told us about updates made to the onsite play ground. My 5 year old loved the various slides, structures and colorfully painted tire obstacle course The bath facilities were older but safe, clean, free and well kept. The wifi was good for internet searches, phone calls and music - don't expect it for streaming shows or 8 hours on zoom. It's so close to the avenue of the giants and miss affordable than other options.

Nice spot with a very friendly and helpful host! It's just off highway 101, so there's definitely a bit of highway noise, but not too bad, and the trade-off is of course that it makes for quick and easy access to Scotia/Rio Dell or Eureka. The cabins are simple but comfortable, more than adequate if you're just looking for a bed and a roof. Would stay again if we're back up that way!

We had an incredible stay at the cabin. The views were stunning all day long, the little terrace was a great place to hang, the interior was super cozy and comfortable, we had all the amenities we could have possibly wished for, you’re walking distance from a cute swimming hole and a short drive from bigger river beaches and gigantic redwoods. The hosts were delightful and available for everything we needed, including the adorable dog Stanley who kept us company and guided us on a little hike to the creek

We really enjoyed our stay! The grounds are beautiful & peaceful, and we slept better than we have in a while :) We were unsure about camping or the Cozy Cabin but in the end we were happy to have chosen the cabin. It's cozy as described, the mattress is comfortable, and the amenities are very nice to have. Would definitely stay again! One small word of warning: be prepared for your car to get dusty! The paths you ride on to get to the cabin kick up a lot of dust even when driving slow. This wasn't an issue for us at all, but for those who like their cars to be pristine, be prepared!
