There is NOTHING like being in the wilderness of this area for a good re-centering of the soul! We have found it to be a true blessing for our family, and we hope you can experience this blessing as we share this space with you. The swimming is awesome and the stars at night will put you into a state of awe! In the area there are many family owned wineries in the area, most of them offering free tasting! It’s a short drive to Tahoe and the Marshall gold discovery site as well as the historic hangtown Placerville. We are happy to make suggestions for local hiking areas, like the Devil's Slide "Gorge" only a 15 minute drive but like a trip to mini Yosemite. The Caldor Fire was VERY close to our property and a back burn was initiated nearby the our house (literally 200' away!). Our property became a pivotal point of fighting the fire in our community known as the “Ant Hill Army”. Ask us about the story!

We have 155 acres of the Sierra foothills just ~12 minutes from downtown Murphys. This is a working farm where we specialize in cut flowers and also grow a little food. Main Driveway: -End of The Driveway -Soup Kitchen -Bug White Bus Second Driveway: -1 Pine -2 Pine The End of The Driveway is one big site for buses/RVs/big vans next to the Soup Kitchen. 1 Pine and 2 Pine are up a separate driveway on the ridge. The driveway spot is down the driveway a couple hundred yards from where we usually are so you’ll more or less be on your own, depending on if we have work to do down there or if there are other campers. We are happy to chat or leave you be, just let us know what your needs are. If you’re looking for a more isolated spot, see the listings for 1 Pine or 2 Pine. The 2nd area is “1 Pine” accessed by our second driveway that is 100 yards down the road from the farm. The driveway is kind of rough but definitely manageable with a truck, SUV or sedan if you’re willing to go for it. The drive goes up a couple hundred yards to the hilltop where there is a clearing and, you guessed it, 1 pine tree. From the back of the clearing there is a trail that leads you to 2 Pine, which is a walk that takes just a few minutes. 2 Pine is walk-in only but has great views of the sunset and is totally secluded and private and would be a good spot to either bring some friends for a little sunset party or for someone who wants to seriously unplug. There are plenty of flat spots to pitch a tent. **if you are a teacher or Pacific Crest Trail hiker let us know! We are happy to offer a discount :)

We do enforce camp rules especially our quiet time between 10 PM and 7 AM We’ve been told that we have a “family camp” vibe. We are a great place for families wanting a safe environment for their kids but also several group sites for those that want to hang out together with multiple families. We are also a great base site for those wilderness enthusiasts with access to all the El Dorado National Forest including Desolation but want a hot shower at the end of the day. We have a lodge that is stocked with games and a ping pong table. The lodge has a microwave, Keurig machine and a hot water kettle for those hot drinks (BYO Cups).We have several tables set up for those that want to eat inside as well as multiple picnic tables along the side of the lodge with overhead protection. We have electricity at the at the lodge for small appliances and charging phones. We have a compressor on site to blow up your air mattresses or float toys. We’ve been told that our bathrooms are the “cleanest” ever and have changing tables and diaper pails. We offer nice flushing toilets and hot showers! We have many extra amenities including a compressor to use for your air mattresses, For outdoor activities we have basketball, volleyball, pickleball and cornhole not to mention the playground with swing set . We have hiking trails throughout the property. Our highlight is a camp fire bowl with bench seating with a stage to display camper talent which is perfect for the evening fire and roasting s’mores (bring the fixings). The creek starts out in spring looking like a rushing river featuring many fishing and swimming holes. As the summer progresses the water level falls but is still great for water play and fishing. We have propane BBQs (we provide the propane for BBQs) located throughout the property. We also have a propane grill and charcoal BBQ located in the common area for all to use. There is a dutch oven pit also in the fire bowl area. We do not allow wood fires at the individual sites but each site has a propane firepit for ambiance (not cooking) that requires you to purchase a 20 lb. propane cannister on site (add in extras) or pay cash on site. No internet service. There is limited internet only available for purchases at the setore. We require a 3 night minimum for the major holidays - Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day. We do exclusive events so you may need to explore multiple weekends to find the right reservation. We are located in the foothills so we are a short hop to many local attractions that include river rafting, gold mines, wineries and historical towns with great eating establishments. Tahoe is less than an hour away and there a many hiking trails within 20-30 minutes. We have a limited number of items to rent i.e, tents, cots, camp stoves, etc. We rent a battery pack for those that use a cpap. We also have a small store on site for those items you forgot and a good selection of ice cream and ice. We take venmo or cash.

When we moved to the Sierra Foothills, we found this cozy, little spot on the property and we set up a campsite for friends and family. People loved the space so much that we decided to build this cozy cabin and host other guests as well... The hot tub can be filled with fresh water and be heated by wood and/or be filled using the on demand hot water heater. The private outdoor shower is in a beautiful garden setting.

Arnold is well-located for a weekend getaway (~2.5 hours from the East Bay and ~3 hours from SF) and as a convenient base for your adventures in the Sierras. If you haven't been to Arnold and Gold Country, there is so much to explore! The cabin is on a small parcel in a quiet neighborhood, removed but close to town. We're just a 5-minute walk to the Arnold Rim Trail (with 30+ miles of hiking), 10-minute drive to Big Trees State Park, 15 minutes to the town of Murphys (great wineries, pubs and dining), 40 minutes to Bear Valley Ski Resort, 10 minutes to White Pines Lake, 45 minutes to Lake Alpine. We’re happy to recommend our favorite spots for hiking and swimming. If your trip is taking you farther afield, we’re 2 hours from Yosemite, and 2.5 hours from Lake Tahoe via the less-traveled Highway 4 in warmer months. Or you can can always just relax with a view in the cabin. If your trip is taking you farther afield, we’re ~2 hours from Yosemite's Big Oak Flat entrance, and 2.5 hours from Lake Tahoe via the less-traveled Highway 4 in warmer months.  We do our best here to strike a balance between simple amenities and comfort. A reminder that we are in the country, so the cabin is best suited to those who like a more rustic getaway. There is no AC, television, or microwave. We've gone without a TV and landline, but WiFi means you can stream to your own devices and make WiFi calls on your cell. We have loads of board games and puzzles. The kitchen has pots/pans/kettle, toaster, mini waffle iron, Brita pitcher, and rice cooker. For coffee drinkers, we have a coffee grinder, french press and pour over dripper.  Help yourself to organic coffee and tea! The cabin is mainly heated by a gas fireplace (looks like a wood stove, but does not need wood). We recommend bringing layers and slippers in the winter while the cabin warms up. Like most cabins in the area, there is no AC, but we provide room fans. Cell reception is unreliable throughout the Sierras except for Verizon, however at the cabin, WiFi calls are available through all carriers --to make calls, enable the setting on your cell phone. The cabin comfortably fits 4 people, with 1 bedroom, a sleeping loft (no door) and 1.5 bathrooms. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed, and the loft has a full-size mattress and its own half bathroom. We have a flat parking pad instead of a driveway, which makes things easier in the winter months. The rental rate covers a professional cleaning fee and linens and towels! Guests will need to take their garbage and recycling with them to the local refuse center which is on the way out.

Weekend Trip to Mighty Farm & Camp

The bus was so much fun! Our kids really enjoyed the swing set, animals, and the hosts kids. Ben let us use his outdoor kitchen, fully stocked so we didn’t have to bring our own gear (had pots, pans, plates, a bbq grill and cook stove, some room in the fridge too). The bus had a mini fridge, linens for bed, and towels for the outdoor shower, which was very easy to use. Bus was super cute, Heather has an eye for decor and her hand painted signs everywhere were so cute! Camp had pit toilets. Indian Creek is nearby, a little spot enjoyed by locals on hot days. In Murphys the farmers market abuts a creek also enjoyed by locals. The Farmers Market on Sunday was lovely, had some very niche and upscale goods plus farmed produce. Camp was close to Big Trees, Mercer Caves, Murphys and close enough to Columbia that its well within reach. The road is rough and winding in parts but the hosts and experience make it worth your while.

Camp Nauvoo is the perfect place to unplug. The property is incredibly nice, clean, and well-maintained, offering a wonderful blend of comfort and nature. The best part of the stay was the absolute silence. It is incredibly quiet and peaceful, especially at night, making it the perfect sanctuary for relaxation and recharging. We had a wonderful, restful time and highly recommend it!

We had a great time, the camp was perfect for the family. It was such a treat to camp near the water, our kids spent most the time jumping on rocks and looking for gold. And sleeping to the sound of the creeks running water solidified our return Camp Nauvoo. Also worth mentioning, they have a huge green space for play and relaxing. Plenty of gas bbqs, picnic tables and fire pits for every camp site. No need to over pack like we did. The camp owner, Greg, and hosts, Charlie and Crystal were super helpful and also helped make my daughter's 12th birthday special by leading a happy birthday song and even gave her a sweet birthday 🧁 during the community campfire eve. ❤️

Stayed at the Super View cabin and it was great! Super unique experience in a one-of-a-kind setting. Our teenage daughters loved being surrounded by all of the animals. It would be easy to spend all day on property but you've also got Murphys a short distance away so there is lots to do.

Weekend Trip to Camp Nauvoo

This was our first camping trip as a family and the first time for our daughter. We stayed in the family Miwuk Teepee and it was such a blast. Greg was very kind and accommodating and they have alot to do on site. We explored the trails, the river/creek and swim hole. We even scoped out the next spot we want to stay next time we visit! There was a volleyball net which we used for our badminton set and a swinger which the kids enjoyed. When it was too hot or cold we enjoyed ping pong and board games in the lodge! Would 10/10 recommend!!

Absolutely loved every minute of it. The owners are as friendly as they come and their property is a dream to stay on. The cabin was very comfortable and the bathrooms were well maintained and convenient. The sound of flowing river and numerous birds was so pleasant and relaxing. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a quick getaway.
