We are between Sequoia National Park (about an hour) and the Giant Sequoia National Monument (16 miles to groves up Hwy 190 and no entrance fee). Choose from individual tent sites, group tent sites, tiny cabins. the 5-acre Compound or the Entire Ranch. We occasionally host small, thoughtful, low impact weddings. Please inquire. There are 33 giant sequoia groves in our Southern Region of the Giant Sequoia National Monument, some easily driven to, and some remote. Our ranch is a nature preserve and an education demonstration site, teaching sustainable and regenerative land use practices. River Ridge Institute, our non-profit, hosts a variety of events for the public. Please note: you are expected to leave the ranch and kitchen area as you found it, i.e., dishes washed thoroughly and dried and put away, recycling separated from trash, food scraps in compost buckets, sticky marshmallow removed from forks and surfaces (ick!). Thank you. Enjoy: The Kitchen has a 3-burner cooktop, large fridge, microwave, full dishes and utensils and pots and pans with a big washing area in the back. Propane barbecue grill.. There's a River Barn to use as a remote space and Turtle Cove for swimming. Saturday morning Farmer's Market in downtown at 9 AM - Noon. Ancestral land of the Foothill Yokuts tribe. Homesteaded in 1859, owned by the Negus family from 1909-2000. Barbara and I bought it to save it from subdivision and it's now protected by a Conservation Easement and acts as a community center for the arts, music, poetry, gatherings and outdoor education. Camp in the country with beautiful sunsets, sunrises, and night sky. A & M Ranch (40 acres) is located 10 min north of Fresno and near Hwy 41 which leads to the mountains. Many travelers stop here on their way to the national parks (Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Sequoia). We are also close to hiking trails, lakes, Sierra mountains, wineries, farmers' markets, and casinos. When you arrive, you will see our four alpacas in their pen, a mini donkey, two Nigerian dwarf goats, and maybe a few cats. We have designated spots for Tent camping, although if you'd like another spot let us know. Each site is listed separately. We are listed on other platforms, so there may be other guests here. Marta also has a shop if you are interested in refurbished items or alpaca products. We are not a day camp, so if you stay a few nights, we expect you to be out most of the day. You may hear coyotes at night, and see lots of squirrels and wild bunnies. Be careful of squirrel holes. *** If we do not respond right away and give approval, it is because sometimes our schedule changes. We usually respond WITHIN the week of your stay. We generally do not accept reservations more than 3 months ahead of time. Since we also travel, sometime we have unexpected family visits.

We arrived late and Arnold still greeted us and helped us settle in! This was the perfect stop on our way into Yosemite the next day. There was a bathroom to freshen up, and the site was level and easy to maneuver around. Nice spot and kind hosts. Thanks!

We had everything we needed! Highlights included the extremely friendly farm cat, making friends with the sheep, bats silhouetted against the sunset hunting insects, and seeing shooting stars despite a nearly full moon. Nearby Slick Rock Recreation area is our favorite place to swim when the water level is low in the heat of late summer. It's also a very short drive to Sequoia and another favorite spot, Hospital Rock with ancient petroglyphs and beautiful waterfall. Only downsde was a very loud industrial noise that went on and on Monday morning that woke us up at 2:30am and made it difficult to get back to sleep. Might have been a nearby citrus packing place? Even that wasn't so bad. We got up for a while and enjoyed the moonlight and a campfire.

Weekend Trip to Blue Moon Orchard Retreat
We stayed here overnight to get an early start up to the Sequoias. It was a comfortable and private space to set up a tent. The hosts greeted us and gave us the basics on where to find everything, including the porta potties which are not too far from the camp area. My nieces enjoyed the local stray cat and the chickens. We woke up to the roosters crowing which was ok with me as we wanted to get an early start. Although it was hot during the day, it was in the '60s at night during this time frame and it was very comfortable. The town itself is very small but Porterville is not too far away to the South as well as Three Rivers to the North as you make the trek up to the National Park.

Mark’s Olives & Oaks campground was great! We stayed for one night but it was exactly what we needed on our way to Sequoia National Park. My daughter enjoyed all the animals. The portable toilets were clean and it was nice having a sink for our dishes. I would recommend it.

Our group loved the Whole ranch, it was perfect for us. This Ranch is good for groups it already has a Pavilion for gathering. A big Kitchen to cook and store your food… The land is beside a river good for swimming… Restrooms and hit showers are also available… Overall all we have a very good experience… And Gary was very understanding and took very good care of our group.. Amazing place to camp! Mark was very nice and the property is beautiful. Lots of cool citrus and olive trees, plenty of cute animals to look at. The orange cat in particular was very cute and fun to play with. The port-o-potty was clean and the sink was nice to have access to. This place is in a great location near Sequoia national park. I highly recommend this spot!

Hidden gem! Mark/Charlie (?) (site manager) were super accommodating for our last minute booking. We got fogged out of Sequoia NP and needed a place nearby to stay the night before going to the park in the morning. Despite the last minute notice, Charlie was kind enough to get us set up with wood (for a fee) and water (the tap water in the area is nitrate rich) for our stay. The site is next to a small creek which can get buggy during sunset but then is fine at night. There is a well maintained portapotty and large outdoor kitchen sink for campers to use. 10/10 stay. Would recommend it to anyone in our situation or someone looking for a unique stay.
